Looking forward to this weekends race. Sad to see the Falcon name for the last time at Mt. P, but happy to see the Mustang name next year.

I'm so confused :(:D:scared::nervous::sly::lol:

Great to see the swooping Falcon.👍

Wonder if a Ford team will run something like this, at some point, next year.
I’ve been quietly hoping the Tickford guys come up with a Mustang livery in the style of the old Falcon livery from their FPR days.

I was also quietly hoping to see said Falcon livery to return for Sandown but better late than never.

Looks alright. Missing Star Wars characters on the side though. ;)
DJRTP have to run a green Mustang #17 at Sandown.

Afterall, Greens-tuf :D
I'd almost rather not. Remember what happened last time they ran those retro Must..., err, Falcon liveries... :scared:

Liking both Erebus cars, the De Pasquale car especially. The red really works for me.

Haha. I was watching that 2014 Bathurst special last night and it does resemble the #22 car from that year.

Unless you're talking last time out at Sandown, you'll have to jog my memory for me.

While I'm not a big fan of the Mustang's face lift. Got to say that looks pretty damn menacing.

Are bonnet vents allowed in Supercars though?

Don't think so. However, the ZB had then during testing of the V6TT. Might not be functional for the V8.
Then again, maybe the new rules for different aspirations allow vents now(?).

I would like to think that if the production car has the vents, so would the Supercar.

Oh, should probably homologate a carbon fibre bonnet too :sly:

I’m doing laps of Mt. Panorama with a Supercar spec (adjusted power and weight) Group 3 Mustang in lieu of the real thing. It’s a very fun car to drive, feels pretty Supercar-y but it still has too much downforce even with the minimum wing angle. With further refinements I could slow it down, I’m already in the 2:03s after 5 laps.

Hey, Maybe Scott does a 2:02 next year. Then, it'll be the real thing. ;)

Don't know about this one. Why leave on the brink of a historical moment with the Mustang. If he does want to leave, wait til 2020.

As average as Tickford has been this year, bit of a step down for Frosty if he does move to Preston Hire. And where would that leave Holdsworth?

Can’t see it happening for Winterbottom. Team 18 has been a career killer for Holdsworth, and I can imagine it’d be the exact same for Frosty.
Holdsworth leaving Erebus, was a big mistake. But he's had bad luck for the longest. He was frustrated, even with a win and a 4th at Sandown. He left a "small" team, for a smaller team.

Frosty would be crazy to leave. I could sew Randle filling the spot, but don't think Frosty will leave.

Normally wouldn't pay much (or any) attention to a James Phelps article but those quotes from Ryan Walkinshaw. He seems pretty enthusiastic about it. Feels like it's going to get the go ahead.
