It would be very sour and poor form for a six-time World Champion for your team, seven times with your engines, to just leave by the back door having stopped trying. And that's regardless of who is giving whom the cold shoulder.

It feels very similar to how things were at Ferrari for Seb after they dropped him. The thing is though, that was a completely different scenario. Given all Lewis has done for the Merc team you’d think they’d be treating him better if it is Merc giving him the cold shoulder.

I wouldn’t be surprised if he rubbed them up the wrong way by being honest about the car. He hasn’t had to do the PR routine this year obviously.

I hope Lewis' career doesn't just fizzle out over at Ferrari. Even he will probably take a while to adapt to a new car especially after driving a Mercedes for over a decade and time is not on his side.

I am worried it’ll mirror Seb’s time there in that it’ll not live up to the hype and fizzle out at the end. Plus, given Leclerc has beaten an unmotivated Vettel, I imagine an unmotivated Hamilton won’t be much of a challenge given Lewis’ recent form.

That being said, I imagine the thrill of joining Ferrari may give Lewis a boost. Here’s hoping anyway! Would love him to get an 8th title at Ferrari - would be apt that they were the team to help break the record given Schumi’s history there.

I’m sure Lewis will give it everything. I’m just not sure what his everything is these days.

I just really hope it goes well.

Seb‘s legacy definitely took a hit.

So realistically, this weekend would be his best shot to achieve that IF he is a serious contender.
Yes and he will loose his 2020 points in 2025 so if he wants to get a SL for 2026 he must finish P4 or higher in Indycar 2025 or get points elsewhere with FP1 entrances or (a plan RedBull had for him when they were interested) running a Formula Regional in the Winter (like Middle East which is running in January-February 15 races (2-3 per weekend) in 5-6 weeks).
