New York Jets head coach, Robert Saleh, has been fired. The Jets so far are 2-3 on the season, and they decided to can Saleh as head coach. More info: https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/41679781/jets-fire-coach-robert-saleh-2-3-start-sources-say .

Thoughts?
If the Raiders had Defense issues I'd like them to pick him up. But our problems fall entirely on our putrid Offense:

  1. Getsy was a big mistake. That hire absolutely nuked our chances of getting Justin Fields.
  2. Not offering a contract to Russell Wilson was a mistake.
  3. Not trying to get a QB on day 2 or 3 of this year's draft was a mistake. Spencer Rattler WAS RIGHT THERE.
  4. Letting Josh Jacobs go and believing this Zamir White guy was going to get the same production was a mistake.
We are "Just trash, baby."

All I know is, I'm watching the first edition of Aaron Rodgers Wednesday on Pat McAfee's show tomorrow.

Too bad he decided to not show up. One last thing about Saleh, he had some issues but he wasn't causing the offensive issues that falls squarely on Rodgers and Hackett. IN 7 years as a OC Hackett has had only one offense ranked above 20th in the league that was 2017 with the Jaguars. The Jets offense is stale. Rodgers feels like pre snap motion takes away some control from the QB. That is true to an extent but it does give you wide open throws and takes advantage of defensive holes. If Saleh was truly the problem why not get rid of him before the season. What is Jeff Ulbrich going to do better than Saleh? I guess maybe they won't have more defensive penalties? Can he get rid of Hackett? They may get a 1 game bump but this falls on Rodgers and his stubborness.

Edit: I don't want to seem like I'm upset about this I'm really not it just that this move right now doesn't make sense and I'm just trying to process this and does it mean moving forward

By tomorrow I meant wednesday. He moved it back a day but did indeed show up.

I just saw on one of my feeds that the Jets are demoting Hackett and elevating Todd Downing. This is what Saleh wanted to do anyway but oh well 🤷‍♂️ . We'll see if this helps Monday night

Unless they can magic Rodgers like 10 years younger, I'm not sure anything is going to help them.

I think if Rodgers listens to the OC ( unlikely 🤣 ) maybe they can do something. he still has the arm to make all of the throws but I do agree his 40 yr old is not processing at the speed as his 40 yr body and until he realizes that and starts to compensate for that they will be stuck

Saleh leaving probably won't fix this team. I fear that Rodgers' hold on the organization makes it impossible for anyone to act on the best interest of the team. Hackett shouldn't be near the team and Woody Johnson is trying his hardest to replace Dan Snyder as one of the worst owners in the NFL.

Now I can add a new mistake: 5. Think AOC is special. He is not.
Purdue hasn't produced a special QB since Brees. The only other one I can think of who has done anything in the past 25 years is maybe Kyle Orton. For what it's worth, I got to live through the Painter years when I went there.

The San Francisco 49ers won 36-24 last night at the Seattle Seahawks. Both teams are now 3-3 on the season after last night, and are tied for the NFC West lead.

[UPDATE/OMISSION] Both teams tied for the NFC West lead now. Changes made.

The week continues with the NFL in London going on right now. Enjoy today's games- whether in the United States or in the United Kingdom! Let us know how your team(s) did if you so choose to discuss.

The Houston Texans played at the New England Patriots today. Drake Maye made his NFL QB debut. Houston started the first quarter strong with two touchdowns, then relaxed a good bit in the second quarter. Houston's offense and defense were feisty in helping the Texans, including the first defensive recovery of a fumble for Houston this season. CJ Stroud finished with 192 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception. Houston was 0-7 all-time playing at the New England Patriots, but they this one 41-21. Houston has their best start since 2012 (started 5-1). They tied for the most points scored in a road game.

In case you're wondering... the Texans have never scored 40 or more points since 2021 (HOU def. LAC 41-29). The most points the Texans scored in any game was 57 in 2017 (HOU def. TEN 57-14).

Up next: at GB Packers

Congratulations to all other winners this week! How did your team(s) do?

Ok, losing Hutch was a blow. But blowing out the Cowgirls in Jerry World on Jerral's birthday is such a good feeling.
Me, when I saw the score at halftime:

The Dallas Cowboys hosted the Detroit Lions today. The Cats from MoTown went Double Platinum on the Cowboys. Dallas is off next week, and they'll need this Bye Week after having lost 47-9 at home. Detroit is 4-1 now, and Dallas is 3-3 now. Oh, and by the way, today is Jerry Jones' birthday today. NOT the birthday present he wanted, I'm sure. Got to love the NFL...

Coming up: CIN Bengals at NYG Giants

[OMISSION] Well, Jump_Ace, you wanted Detroit to win 40-0. How do you feel about this 47-9 victory?

It feels great on a few levels.

It was 17-7 in East Rutherford, NJ as Dolph Drago's Cincinnati Bengals took down Jump_Ace's New York Giants. Both teams are now 2-4 on the season so far. Cincinnati is 3rd in the AFC North, and the New York Giants are last in the NFC East. Cincinnati is at Cleveland next week. The NY Giants will host the Philadelphia Eagles next week.

The Bucs Saints game was amusing. 24 straight points for the Bucs to start with, and the Saints came back with 27 unanswered to lead at the half, only to not score again and get battered 51-27.

And we didn't get beat on account of the Rams having a bye!

Was reading the other day about the Jag's Josh Allen changing his name. He's now known as Josh Hines-Allen which he says is to honour his 3 sisters who all play basketball, and his uncle who did something else, all under the Hines-Allen name.

Allow me to call shenanigans on that. You just don't want to be known as "the other" Josh Allen.

Bills at Jets TONIGHT!

So, one prime time game in the shadow of New York City isn't enough for you? Well, here's another one for you! Let's set this one up...

--- GAME INFORMATION ---
Upstate New York meets New York City in an AFC East showdown.
  • BUF Bills (3-2, 1st in AFC East) at NYJ Jets (2-3, T-2nd in AFC East)
  • FAVORED: BUF (-1)
  • OVER/UNDER: 40.5 pts.

Time to get into an Empire State of mind. The AFC East is in vogue and on display tonight. The New York Giants fell last night to Dolph Drago's Cincinnati Bengals. Will the other NYC team succeed tonight? Our Blitz24 and kjb are hoping the Jets get it done tonight against the capable Buffalo Bills.

Enjoy tonight's game!

GG @Dolph Drago I sure wish we had a kicker worth a bleep. But I'm happy it was a close, good game.

Sorry to hear about Hutchinson @Joey D, is that a season ending injury?

I hope to be able to watch the Jets tonight and I want to see the new look "offense" . Last week one of the members of the NY Sack Exchange Adbul Salaam past. He was 71. It's kind of sad when the players you grew up watching pass. I can remember having the NY Sack Exchange poster from the Daily News up in my room. I loved Joe Klecko and Mark Gastineau. So hopefully the Jets can win tonight for Salaam. Unfortunately that slipped through the cracks with the other things going on last week with the Jets
