24 Hours of Nürburgring - June 21st-22nd 2014

24

they are 17th but only 1 car in front of them is on the same lap. after that you have cars that are 1-2 laps ahead so its going to be hard to really start jumping places from here without some luck

I would think a top 15 would be good considering the car was totally torn down yesterday after a big crash

Now if only we had the timing equipment in each of the cars that let us know who is behind the wheel without having to resort to asking around a lot.

Neat thing about this race is all the teams that are sharing the garage share the same gas pump that is assigned! Can you imagine if this was a Creventic-organized race like the Dubai 24H and the cars had to around to the back to fuel up after their tires and driver are changed?

EDIT: #1 in for full service + driver change

Coverage for this race always really sucks, I don't understand why. I also don't understand why it can't be on the same weekend every year.

It would propably make too much sense to have a better coverage and a set date every year.:banghead: Besides, variety is the spice of life, I quess.:dunce:

Anyone see the #14 Black Falcon SLS collision with an Aston Martin ?

From the official site (google translation):

Christodoulou(#14 driver) after hitting an Aston Martin: "The accident was unnecessary and ended up in the wall This is annoying because we were fourth and on course for a podium Although the SLS is now back in the pits, but the residue is of course now too big.. to intervene again to the front. "

Got a shout out on RLM, gotta love those guys. Pity is was to tell me that the Stefan Johanssen Miata is out of the race. Tons of retirements so far, its hard to keep track of all the crazy stuff that went on during the night.

Helicopter is back up! The cameras are back!

Apparently a hot battle for the lead between the #1 Mercedes and #4 Audi, coverage refuses to show it...

EDIT: #4 Audi through to the lead :gtpflag:

EDIT AGAIN: Huge battle between #1 and #4, I believe Rene Rast is driving the Audi.

EDIT FOR THE 3RD TIME: #1 Mercedes given a 32 second penalty, ending that battle, #4 well into the lead. Track is quite foggy.
