Thanks dudes, well this shootout did help, going 25-30 secs faster since when i started the shootout  but still 10-15 to slow

Please test my car last:) Seriously though, I have had the game since the beginning, and I know most tracks like the back of my hand but I avoided the 'Ring like the plague because it's terrible for racing on and I don't hotlap. About a month ago I figured I had come up with a tuning secret or two (turned out not to be the case of course) and wanted to try it out on the 'Ring for some reason. Ran a few laps, tuned a few cars there and started to like running hot laps there, although it still sucks for racing. Since then I've probably run 50 laps there and can honestly say I learn something every lap about angles of attack, where the grip is, entry speeds and how to set up a car with just the right balance to be able to attack most corners but still be reasonably safe. I will probably never put enough time into the track to compete with guys like Praiano but it's a constant challenge and that's what it's all about. If you had the track mastered, what would you do then?:)

Me being the tester those tested last or first have no advantage or disadvantage cause im retesting then. so far i tested all cars, and already retested them once, now ill retest them all, all over again

And to be honest after this shootout, i will try to be a tuner aswell as a tester as a tuner i will fail but i got 2-3 peoples willing to help me a bit with choosing a car so i can get started

I´m impressed, great tune, just one thing, after 3 or 4 laps it stay at 400PP but you can see a difference of power with the ghost of the first lap.
When i went to check the power limiter, i was able to pt it at 99.9% staying 400PP. i think everybody who test the car will have this experience.
Yeah, it's a shame, but there's not much I can do about it.
I actually drove it about 60 miles just to get the sports exhaust squeezed in, and went with power instead of weight reduction. :scared:

I am suddenly hearing "Eye of the Tiger":lol::dopey:

Its actually the song i was listening to in the gym when i did boxing and bodybuilding , I also used the song in a religion class back in the days when i was at school, thanks to the song i got 20/20 lol

When you say [No car from the top 10 in the first round can be entered into the second round] in the case of the MR2 spyder `02, does the [MR-S V edition (6MT) `02] considered as a ``different car´´ ????

And what about this madame Lovato??? Ok? or not ok?

I guess we'll go with same, since most cars have at least one almost-same version.

If it's a different model that's a different story though, for example an '86 MR2 is still unused, and could be entered if desired.

I've seen people say this before. I love racing at the 'Ring. Probably worth noting that I grew up in deepest, darkest Dorset, so I'm used to hurtling down country lanes, trimming the hedgerows with my wing mirrors...

Can someone explain what it means by 1% limit on the power limiter?

It means you aren't allowed to set the power limiter any lower than 99.0% So anywhere between 100% and 99% is fine.

Caught up on my FRs a bit ago. Should just be a couple folks that have one from me. Gonna dive in head first and try to get a few done tonight. So far I just have two... :scared:

Maybe if I found a group of clean drivers dedicated to the 'Ring my experience might be different. I can honestly say, although my experience is limited, I've never been passed clean there and executing clean passes on guys driving up the centre of the road is extremely unlikely. I've tried Open Lobbies that so called "specialize" in the 'Ring and they are no better, maybe worse.

Johnny, you're 100% right. You've raced in my lobby before and you may have heard me mention how I dislike racing on the ring because if you encounter someone as good as you, it's just a waiting game until one of the few straights wide enough to make a pass. Most of the turns that require hard braking also involve early apexes so its not like you can out brake someone to make a pass. Then you've got the drivers that don't know the course very well. You either fly past them when they miss a corner or you ram them when they brake way too early. For a 7-10 minute lap, you might have 3-4 opportunities to pass. Compare that to Tsukuba or GVE where you have an opportunity every 20-30 seconds.

There is some few good rooms yes. The Nordschleife is always a mess. Now , i try to race the 24H more than Nordschleife. The circuit part at the beginning help to clean differents levels of drivers and cars, when you enter the old track , generally you have people as fast as you and your car , in front and behind you. At this moment begin the good part.:):)

I agree with prainano for the 24h version, its a better option online. :)

Done Solidsnake's CRX, will do CSL Type-R tomorow and the rest of the cars, hopefully will post my review at the tuner deadline.

Yes, the 24hr or TypeV helps weed out the newbs.

Personally though, I have more fun on GP/F and GP/D. They have the right combination of turns to weed out bad tunes and straights just long enough to get you side by side for a hard brake zone.

Round 2

Top 10 tuner entries, any drivers

All rules same as the first round, except as follows:
PP limit will be 420PP
The use of power limiter is not allowed at all.
Ballast is free to be added as pleased.
No car from the top 10 in the first round can be entered into the second round, all entries must be with different cars, car boundaries are the same as round 1. No concepts, RM's, race cars, rally cars allowed.
I updated round 2, because the 1000KG weight limit started to seem really silly, and I couldn't think of any reason I banned it.
Sent MCH and Cowboys PM's yesterday, only 2 registered submissions we don't have yet. 👍

Have you posted a tune for your car yet?

@CSLACR are you going to post raVer's tune for him?
I guess, I was hoping someone else would do it.
I have 15-20 tunes sitting in my GT5 home, awaiting transfer to my garage, just...so...lazy...

I hear you. I've only ever raced with people I know, so I've been privileged in that respect.

I refer you to my earlier comments about living in rural Dorset. Opportunities to pass are few and far between, so you better be on it and ready to take those opportunities!! Also worth clarifying that it's not a track for more than 5 competitors...

My car is ready with the 1000 kg rule. Without it change everything, let see what cars can enter in my actual top 3.

Type V ftw :D

Type V ftw :D

Forgive my ignorance, but there's a Type V variation and it's in GT5? I never knew!

Also…is a 9:18 lap of the 24H track in a 550PP car on SS tyres a reasonable lap time? Bearing in mind the many near spins I had, I thought it was alright, but some of you lot would say otherwise.

Hey, at least you can say you did the 24 hours of LeMan now! (Without saying anything about poor old Bob who drove it all for you. :P)
