BTW, i'm out of town until late Monday so I will need volunteers to host the room the next few nights.

Im up for some racing now. Just got done with work. I'm having to use a wireless connection presently, so I may not be the best host...

If you do not select "fixed host", your connection doesnt matter. Just start a room and post the number here and others will join you.

Woot.

I took this to Eiger and in my lobby, I just did a 1:14.712. Much much faster than I was going last night.

Okay, I'm all for letting the Integras run. I just played around with an Integra tune (https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=194204&page=4#post5108244) that got me 1:13.378. Wasn't the pole last night just a 1:12?

Part of it is me getting a little better at the course, though. The right hander after the tunnel for example. Last night, I down shifted for that. Now, if I hit it just right, I can stay in the same gear, I just tap the brakes to get the nose in and blow throw that and the left hander after it.

Personally i dont consider the CRX a hot hatch because it only seats 2.

Actually, the JDM CRX has seating for four. The USDM CRX saw Honda replace the rear seats with the compartment setup due to the seat's small size.

I think the Integra can be a lot faster than that. In my Volvo C30R I run around a 1:12.3xx (probably faster if I practiced) and the EK Civic Type-R I was running last night was at a 1:12.6xx after 3 laps.

I don't brake for the turn after the tunnel. Only let off a bit and let the weight transfer make the outside front grab, drop the inside tire a bit on the inside and the slight banking will pull you through the turn.

Sway bar settings make a big difference in FWD, on the Civic Type-R I'm running 3 front and 7 rear. It really helps pitch the nose in and gives it some lift-off oversteer on turn in.

I do the same on that turn, lift for a second and get right back on the gas. That was the place i passed everyone the other night.

Rollbars are definitely key to fast times in a FF. Anything you can do to tighten up the rear will help with rotation.

On my way to work now, but I got some pics from last night's mayhem that I will post later. All in all it was fun, but there was about as much shuffling as there was 450 PP. I had a blast though. My mic ran out of batteries at the end, so I'll have to try to find the charger.

EDIT: Here are the pics

The aftermath. I think I need to use a faster shutter speed. I wasn't using my main TV though, and it was kinda hard to see anyways.

And if you thought that minor scuffle in Rome was bad...

There are as many lines into Hammerhead as their are crappy cars in shuffle mode

I forgot to look for the one where someone got like 6 feet of air off a cone. I still have the replay though, so maybe I will look again later. I am looking forward to more 450PP races and some more mindless shuffle mayhem.

The six feet jump was lap 3 or 4 and was on the back stretch heading into the follow-through. It was the car directly in front of me. He easily cleared my car....How again is that possible?

Why are the Tuners at a disadvantage?

they seem to have higher pp for the hp they have. a regular civic tuned to the same pp will have more power and be faster than a tuner car at the same level. (i think the tuners, like the spoon civic, are wider, and that is put int he pp equation)

now, since ive never seen a spoon civic dominate, i am not against them. however, ive seen certain concepts take it away.

i like the rule that the winner cannot use that car in consecutive races.

emm, That's not quite right.

the difference on the pps with same hp and weight is made only by 2 facts
1.- aerodynamic features
2.- a different HP curve at the dyno

By the way, I didn't know that a thread of one of my favorite's rooms in gt5 was in gt planet.

I'll be here more often

and sorry for my bad english, I'm not a native english speaker

Definitely! When I started this, I was winning 1 out of 3 races. Now I'm lucky if I get a 2nd place finish each night. It's been a while since I out raced someone wheel to wheel. I move up when people make mistakes but that's about it.

If I am in the right car, I can be pretty quick. I usually get a top 5 qualifying lap. However some of the guys in the room are quick in any car (Nic, GT-Nur, sl3ight, AOK, Osprey). I blame my car half the time, but sometimes it's just that I can't quite squeeze that extra second out of my laps.

However, running at the back of the pack can be just as fun as the front. I enjoy tracks that promote passing and tight racing.

If you see it on my point of view, I was wining everywhere till I get here :sly: .
I really like this room cuz the level is very good and here you can win or lose after longs plays for just a second.

 God, last night Shuffle Racing was a blast. Things got dirty, but it was all in fun. Really quick 450 cars last night though, I was struggling in the yellow Camaro.

ALSO. In Juju's pic, I did not ram iforce in the RUF into the wall there, he was already crammed in it when I got there. I was simply shooting the gap. No contact.

anyone hosting tonight? I can if no one else will.

Last night sucked for me. I tried to find some other rooms.
Seems like everyone still likes to drive supercars or goes back wards on the track while doing donuts. wtf...

I may be wifed, so I may not make it, but I'd love to join. All I have fitted and ready to go are a handful of hatches (they are just so much fun).

I do love the 80s though, so I should fit some of those. And for some strange reason, I think the 350 Sedans handle not too badly. I should fit that (and maybe a 350Z if that is possible).

Well it's open night so anything goes other than concepts, tuners, and race cars. Bring the fastest 450pp car you've got!

My s2k, R32, and STI are ready to get some wins

I've never tried the NSX, is it really that fast?

Yeah the NSX-R is pretty hardcore I think, I can see why it might be disallowed. I might give the regular one a shot though and see if it isn't too fast.
