Im loving the photo recaps!

I've never tried the NSX, is it really that fast?
Yes. It is effortless to drive fast. The Elise is quick too but can have a bit of oversteer if not tuned properly.

I wanna learn how to make skid marks like those

emm, That's not quite right.

the difference on the pps with same hp and weight is made only by 2 facts
1.- aerodynamic features
2.- a different HP curve at the dyno

By the way, I didn't know that a thread of one of my favorite's rooms in gt5 was in gt planet.

I'll be here more often

and sorry for my bad english, I'm not a native english speaker

I don't have a spoon civic, so I didn't know if it has aero pieces with downforce or not. Downnforce is a big part of the equation.

The night started on Grand Valley East and I was in the Chuyler 207. I think it was K-plox? I don't remember. He had major lag issues and caused huge accidents. I was lucky to avoid them, so I got to run with the pack. I actually stayed in the group until I ate a grill full of Greydot. He went linkdead right in front of me.

I spent the rest of that race following along behind the pack.

Next we moved to Rome Reverse and I moved to the JUN Super Integra. Again, there was another accident I was able to thread through. Being slower than most is nice at times.

I did have some fantastic little battles here. I don't remember who but I spent an entire lap trying to pass a little Alfa. I finally got by as he pushed wide in a corner. But the entire field spread out. I don't know that there was any pack.

Next was Autumn Ring. I am so terribly sorry. Apparently I pushed Graham into the wall. On my end, it didn't register as a wreck. He popped from no where out of a corner intangible and I pass right through him. Apparently he was beside me as I moved left into the line for the next corner.

I'm so very very sorry for that.

That would be our Italian friend AOK.

I had a great race for the win with AOK on Grand Valley East. I was quite a bit faster through sector 2 but he would always catch up down the straights. 8 solid laps of racing with some friendly contact was tons of fun. I need to start tuning my cars for more straight line speed.

How about we run some different tracks? I'd like to see Monza, Nurburgring GP, and Fuji more often. Everyone always votes for the same places. (Yeah, I'm biased towards real tracks)

EDIT: I have an idea for tracks tonight. In celebration of this weekends real races, let's run Monaco and Indy, then some Le Sarthe since Le Mans is coming up in a couple weeks.

Damn i wish i could have stayed in the races last night but something came up.My little MR-S was hooked up at GVE,oh well maybe next time.

What track will replace Lime Rock? Grand-Am is running there Monday.

that was a very good race, your r32 was a little bit slow in the last corner, i suggest you to tune the suspensions, that car needs to be very rigid to have a decent traction. i enjoyed all the races yesterday, hope to be in the room with all you guys tonight:)

I've been tuning that car for a pretty long time. It's hard to make it fast because it's heavy and I have to limit power to get it down to 450pp. I think the problem in the last turn was my driving, I can't get it right for some reason.

I love the MR-S. It has a great engine and pretty decent grip. I added ballast to the front of mine to give it 50/50 distribution. Probably not the best approach but it worked out nicely.

I'm at Limerock this weekend. Watched some fun races on Saturday and cant wait for the GT/DP cars tomorrow. I'd say Deep Forest Reverse is the closest example in the game. The last turn before the front straight is perfect. It's got that downhill brakezone. It also has the necessary elevation changes that make LRP so iconic. I got to run a parade lap with my Mazda club yesterday. They let us hit about 80mph on the back straight. Some day i'll sign up for one of those skip barber courses so i can actually hot lap the track.

Sounds like your having a fun weekend:tup:.

I was thinking the same thing about DF-R but i was just running some laps at Cape Ring Inside and it has alot of the same features as Lime Rock and the length is virtually the same at 1.54 miles.

Skip Barber is fun. I did it on laguna seca years ago. The game is good but does not accurately capture the elevation changes.

Nah, cape ring inside is virtually flat. Its got some nice esses but thats all. I really wish PD would add some new tracks to the game. I want to run LRP so badly with this physics engine.

I also wish there was some automated full course caution feature for endurance races. It would make things more interesting if cars were lined back up for restarts...with the option to pit during the caution.

Hope you're enjoying it up there this weekend. I've been going to pretty much every major event at LRP (grand am, alms, vintage, scca) for a pretty long time. Unfortunately family plans for memorial day have me elsewhere this year.

Couple photos I shot last season...

Nice! How did you do in it against some of the non-front drive competition?

I thought I had saved the replay, but it seems I had not.

It was quicker than anything I had before that. I was keeping up with a group of cars until I smashed into Greydot.

It wasn't as fast as the JUN Super Integra, so I went to that.

I am looking for something else to build out for 450. I'm looking at RX-7s and the Nissan/Infinity 350 GT/G35.

I guess tonight is 80's night. I have a painfully slow EXA/Pulsar. I built that for a seasonal challenge. It was only 420 PP, but it won the seasonal quite easily.

I can host again tonight.

The rules for tonight.

80's night. That means you must use a car from 1980-1989.
Just to make it easy, NO concepts, race cars or RM cars.
You'll get one verbal and one text warning then booted if you don't have the correct car.

Im down for trying different tracks tonight as well. Getting tired of Rome reverse and GVE every night. I have a few custom tracks if you want to try them.

I tried that car and was super slow in it.
Then Wiifreak had one and smoked by be the other night. SO i guess I just suck.

I got my setup for that car from RKM, right here, which probably gave me an advantage since it is a good setup. Conveniently, when fully tuned it comes out to exactly 450pp :)

Wii, I'll definitely be talking to you soon about that 73 skyline you were busting my Camaro in. I've been testing all day, and still haven't solved the oversteer issue. I'm stumped.

Also, I don't have a problem with custom tracks, I love togue Toscana tracks. I think they make for excellent 450 tracks.

When all else fails, a spoiler with 5-10 downforce can cure oversteer...but you have to give up straight line speed for it.
