To bad it is a re-run of a previous event, again on Willow and again in a GSX-R/4. Nice imagination PD

We are still in the 200mph bike era

All bikes are limited to 299 km/h across the world stock I believe. The fastest (production) bike ever made was the Suzuki Huyabusa '01 which could do a bit over 310 I believe.

Sorry off topic

There was a bit of a "gentlemen's agreement" between manufactures after this bike, but that limiter was easily rectified after purchase ;).

Now most speedometers just stop at 299km/h (186mph) or even go blank (Panigale).

Back on topic.

It is at the very end, but still the beginning of everything ^^

Brilliant.

A worthy 1.5 secs off gold in a Spitfire - I think it could be done though. Got gold with TVR Tamara - nicely balanced car.

Yep, I despise this track. Cant stand those radiused corners. Bronze is all I could force myself to do.

I've driven my first run yesterday in Willows.
My time was 1:13.295 (P 19 at the moment) :)

Have noted in the setup of @Elias from the combo used by 09/2014.

You tagged the wrong person there mate.;)

EDIT: no idea about the trick
when you start your fast lap:

Immense fun. Started with an Opel Speedster Turbo, then Elise '11, then KTM, then I found the leaderboard and realised everyone was playing with the GSX-R so I got my leaderboard time with that. After that, lots of fun with the Lamborghini Miura, getting it down to 1m20s - what a wonderful drive - hairy coming down from maximum speed into the final complex though. Into the 19s with a Caterham, lots of tune-twiddling required but only 150hp-odd and a surprising amount of ballast just to get it to grip!

I might try to get my '67 Cougar around in a half decent time for shiggles. Far too much torque, perhaps...

aah, someone used my tune :)
Um.... if that was for me, actually, I didn't. :D I did my times on sticks (don't have space to set the wheel up at the mo) so usually published tunes don't work for me. That said, I've got an MR-S tune that's copied from real life (Spirit 2ZZ Touge car) and while it's hilarious on a DS3, it's almost undrivable on a wheel. Very odd.

For reference, my Elise tune for a DS3:

Type B Front splitter, Flat Floor, Special Wing B, and 'other' the hardtop (What the heck, rims: Enkei RS05RR stock size.)

500PP/214BHP/778kg

Gives midrange grunt and flat powercurve at the top of the rev range.

Edit: Just taken it out for a spin, it's more understeery than I remember. Am tuning a bit more, since I published it....

Development: Now >>>> softened up. I did a 1m17.3xx with this. Throttle control is a must, as is not clipping kerbs too much. If it starts to slide under power, it will keep doing it but it should be nice and progressive if you decide to keep your foot (thumb) in. Change up at 7k - there's 1000rpm of wiggle room if you don't want to change up on a corner approach. The car will go across the fast S flat in 6th, clip the left apex and brake at the tarmac change. It will turn left for you into the last complex in 3rd (early braking) or 2nd (left it a bit late.)

I had improved my time in a GSXR-4 using Andromeda's sneaky start tactic (1:18.152)

My first run with that sneaky section was 1:19 ish

Early on in this event I saw @SW__10 had protested it by getting hold with the Sambabus.

Put in a lot more laps here than I normally would, as it's basically a duplicate event. Just to be different I used the Light Car Company Rocket '07, initially with the Brands Hatch seasonal tune Rocket by matej2547.

After many random little changes I ended up setting my best time with this. Felt supremely controllable on the Comfort Soft tyres:
Stats
500pp
156bhp
537kg
36:54
12kgfm [a human arm can generate that much torque!]

Gearbox
Not quite sure how I got this:
1: 3.175
2: 2.300
3: 1.825
4: 1.500
5: 1.275
Final: 4.500

Power
Limiter: 94.4%
Standard power parts only

Drivetrain
5 12 5 [using 12 instead of 15, coupled with ballast position and low power, makes this my new favourite 500pp car!]

Body
Ballast: 147kg [same as tune]
Ballast Position: 40% [instead of 50%]

There is a Rocket in position 674 at the moment. Zonda, GT40, NSX, X-BOW and interestingly the odd W12 Nardo are breaking up the Suzuki parade. #132 is a Shelby Series One Super Charged '03! That's the highest non-Suzuki.

There's another Rocket in position 2,633 on 1:17.628 and that's me! I didn't cheat the last turn as I only just saw the map for how to do it. More than 99% of the cars faster than me are the Suzuki.

That makes me the 2nd fastest Rocket driver in the world, right? And probably the fastest who didn't cheat.

Proud to be different.:gtpflag:

I took a look at abigail's lap and I was met with even worse driving than I imagined, his lines was all wrong, and driving like he did should by estimate have ended up with a mid to low 1:13. on top of that his gearbox is set up all wrong, so he's obviously not a setup guru either.
So, the cheating is pretty obvious, and I'll be sure to file a report about it. But I fail to spot exactley what he did, as the tyre width seems to be normal...
@GTP_CargoRatt , you're pretty good with these things, can you tell what is wrong with his car? downforce?

I'll check it out and see what he's up too. 👍
