With the alpine VGT road version. took me three laps, I was bronze on second one.

This easn't too easy, the Alpine was nice but just not enough for me at only 595 PP and no way to uptune. Tried many 600 PP cars, the MR ones were best and good for low silvers. The low weight Rocket and XBow not enough pure speed. Braking distances really vary, so the heavier cars just don't want to seem to slow. Didn't want to uptune my NSX LM Road Car which is the voiture de jour for this event, so took out the old wired DS2 controller, good for half second and finally into the 1:26s with the McLaren MP4-12C '10, and done.

And the evening setting lighting is very nice, and premium cars cockpit views are very colorful and show off well.

I was very curious about this TT.
I like the track, ever drove it since the early GT-Titles, though i thought i know the track well.
I like the cars which can be taken on here. I drove the VW Nardo a lot in QM and the RingTT and so on.

doing my first attemps i got upset and disapointed very soon.

how can this lovely stable fast Nardo all of a sudden feel like piece of grap ?? Understeering on breaks oversteering, weaving and twisting out in each and every corner.
Just the tyres ? the track ? the missing SRF-Setting i used to activate ? i have no idea ...
i had to topsy-turvify the complete setup and in the end it starts working ... its not perfect by now but i start getting a feeling for the track again.

oddley enough the Alpine VGT is that stable out of the box. got me a mid 1.24. with the Nardo i', up to 1.25 low but its getting better.

But why was this so different concerning my setup ?

Alpine vgt does it. oil change, no Ballast, full power. Use no Aids, manual tranny. Start careful and then build up Courage as you go. Took me four laps to Gold it.
edit. i did use abs 1.

If anyone has any problems with this, use the Nissan R390 roadcar. Add power to get to 600pp (I also added 8kg of ballast at the very front of the car), and max front downforce. Fully adjustable suspension (no camber, rear 0.20 toe), racing brakes (f6 r2), full LSD (20 10 20), fully adjustable transmission, adjusted as you see fit.

Very stable car, but slightly slower than the NSX-R LM.

Hmmm, I had no trouble with Nardo but others are. I had the suspension dialed in for the HSR 550. Loose as all get out for here lol but I found the cars forgiving nature let me gold in 3 laps anyway.

The R390 was an easy gold too. But the Amuse S2000 GT1 Turbo was the easiest car I found to gold. Did not try the lower pp GT1 yet.

i like to try a Honda aswell. seems to be that Apricot Hill needs much less springrate and dumper settings as anything else here what does not make any sense at all ... the only thing to consider may be the harder tyres that are used here ... but this efect on the required setting adjustments is ridiculous

I like the fact that the grip on this track is reduced from a straight up garage test. It mimics reality which I find oddly satisfying. I was involved with local asphalt circle track racing, my stepfather drove and we had a 2nd car. The connection to this challenge is that the track would lose grip as the temperature dropped. So if we dialed in the car during daytime practice it would be way too tight for the night race. It is nice to see a little reality reflected here.

I first used the Miura for this, not sure why, danced it around for gold on the 3rd lap. I then switched to the NSX to see if I'd like it better, but I didn't. I did get gold on the first lap, but it wasn't fun. Done with this one for sure, it reminded me of last year's F40 challenge.

How can you dudes ride this slippery cars? It is totally unrealistic,
In every corner there is ice ... Maybe try snow tires:lol:. Respect, I really sucks on tis Soft tires TT's.

It still drive like ****** ice:P In real live with a Suzuki Alto I drive faster and not slip like that , and I did not even have a driving license

I mentioned a good stable car to gold in 3 times. Keep sliding away people lol. I find it fun.

I would post a tune for the AMUSE S2000 GT1 TURBO but I did not tune it. Just buy the car, put SH tires on it, zero out the toe and camber, add some downforce (it has a lot to add) and set top speed to 170 mph or so. If you feel the need, back the differential off to about 8-10 accel. That got a first lap gold without even pushing. Oil change will push it over 600pp if you feel a little short there lol.

The car has none of the slip slide antics of the MR cars here. That inspires confidence on the track. It just does what you ask of it. Makes the SH feel more like RH which is a comfort. I know it is not the fastest car or the big guns would be all over it. But if all you want is gold or a nice drive with no drama this is your ride.

Edited because I was at work and I felt the post was lacking.

Thought the track was slipperier than usual myself.

i have to agree , your absolutely right. this car is very good for getting gold savely.
but unfortunately not much more. its not the beast to fly around here. but anyway i love the s2000's either

600 PP seems to be the upper limit for SH tires. Anything above should use SS.

I just felt like it was perfect for people having trouble to get that gold. They can always move on to NSX-R afterwards. I have gold laps in at least 20 cars now. But not one of the others felt so easy to drive.

I ran the NSX with my own tune for a 1:23.xxx... First on my friend list (for now) and I left a lot of time on the track. It is a bit slippery on SH tires, just requires a lot of throttle control. Props to all who use a DS3 to do this, I don't know how you guys do it! It's a challenge with my DFGT to keep from mashing the throttle on exit, which will almost always cause a big beautiful drift or a crazy 360!

Oh it is hard. :nervous: But fun at the same time. I use DS3 and I enjoy driving a stock STRATOS. :mischievous: So maybe that is why I don't really mind this challenge. My best lap so far has been a 1:24.xxx But that was a first lap gold with the FXX. If I could just stick with one car I might get a good lap in lol. But I just do what it takes to get gold then bring up the next car.

Totally resist the temptation to accelerate at any time unless you are HEADING in a straight line.
And forget about driving hard through corners, not this time I'm afraid. As you get more used to to it you will be able to carry more speed into and out of the corners, but obviously not just yet. ;)
