Red Devil proved that is not always so.

I was on a nice trip through the USA cars. Had fun with the newer Vettes. Ford has those nice GT's and GT40 mk1. Vipers always impress. So what could go wrong? :banghead: Yea, she can round the bend at 90. But every other bend it pretends to be a pickup truck. I tried, I did everything I could think of. Jack up the nose, super high rear SR. Sway bar bonanza. Ridiculous rear toe out. 200kg on the back bumper... No matter what it still refuses to behave lol.
The 900 lb/ft of torque plays a part too in the madness. After 3 hours with little to show for it I just had to stop and park the beast. Left the USA cars for a bit and got a 1 lap gold with the Zonda C12 :D

Red Devil and me have unfinished business... Just not on this track:ouch:

Give this devil a try... I tuned it at full tilt, just drop the PP however you wish. I make no guarantees on how well it'll work as it really is a BEAST to tame...

1:24,076 in the McLaren F1. But threw away a 1:23,9xx several times at the last turn.:banghead: Had lots of trouble getting the brakes right on other cars, but not on this one.

Puhhh the Red Devil is defenetly one of the favorites for the "worst car in GT6" award. :yuck:

But got gold after 32km and a 1:26,245 after 57km.

My Red Devil had been consigned to the stockyard after its last outing - I thought I never wanted to see it again. But I retrieved it to have a go here, and wished I hadn't bothered. @TheInfamousJEW6 's tune didn't help I'm afraid. In fairness it was set up for racing tyres on a bumpy road circuit so it's not surprising it didn't work well here. What a pig of a car this is. Not in a the "challenging to drive but worth the effort" kind of way, just pure nasty. I didn't even get silver before sending it back to the stockyard where it belongs. Respect to @Ed_Night though. It takes a huge amount of skill to drive it that quickly.
And respect to @LM7325 for having the perseverance to spend 3 hours with it.

Haha! Yeah that car is definitely one of the worst in GT6... There is literally no settings that will make it drivable, and on SH tires on a track with what feels like no grip, it's like trying to drive a rollerskate... @Ed_Night you are some kind of driver to be capable of a gold! Good job!

Well after several different cars from my favorite tuners I was stuck at 1:27.127. Every lap just seemed to get worse so I remembered Tuner Cars. So I went and got my never been driven S2000 GT1 Turbo. Took a little digging but found a couple of tunes with the Advanced Tune Finder. I used the Time Trial version from @FussyFez.👍 I made one change to the ride height 85/85 and used the stock transmission set at 174 MPH. Gold after 2 laps as the first lap was the shake down lap/ red lap. Went back and made the RH change and done.

So I think I have achieved gold with every car I care to try with.:embarrassed:

One thing about a slippery track is that it shows you which cars are worth having, and which ones to stockyard. I used to just see what the hot car for each event was and use it exclusively. But that leaves 1100 cars or so forever locked away.:( Yea, some like Red Devil should stay locked up forever lol. But how do you know unless you try them out? Some of the standard cars look rough. I use bumper view so it does not really bother me. Well, Nero Nemesis satin black will hide a LOT of ugly if they are bad.

Don't have that color? Go buy an Aventador.💡 Much nicer than the standard matte blacks.

1m24 straight out of the box with the ACR Viper, a good tune will sort it out
Try this tune from the Matterhorn event, it should help.
Suspension-
70 60
21 22
1 1
1 1
7 7
No camber or toe.
Brakes-
5 6
Transmission-
186 mph
Differential-

5
Power-
No oil change, sports computer, racing exhaust, sports catalytic converter, rest stock. Power limiter to 86.0%.
Downforce-
100 220
All weight reduction parts installed, no ballast added.

Just remember to redo the transmission for this track.

Does anyone in top 10 have a tune i use for nsx?
Have you tried Stotty's tune from the Nurburg race? If I can get 1:20.9 after a few goes using it you should be able to take off another second or two.

edit.. 1:20.703 ... for #94. (I'm chasing Doodles ghost.)

1:19.107. Still a tenth behind Dock and his amazing controller time! He reminds me of when samurai_405 was at his peak. Incredible stuff from Dock. Anyways here's my setup so far. @perrolocomcquee 's suspension is really good, all I changed from that is the rear toe and brake balance to suit my style a bit more.

Suspension:
85/85
8.40/7.40
6/3
7/5
7/4
0.0/0.0
0.00/0.10
5/7

Transmission:
Set final to 5.500
Set top speed all the way left (124mph)
3.630
2.662
2.215
1.864
1.593
1.351
Final 3.500

If you can't get those numbers, try using the size one rims. Correct me if I'm wrong but don't different sized rims change the values of the transmission settings?

Drivetrain:
5/15/5

High RPM Turbo (last one)
Power limiter at 88.5%
Max downforce front/rear
Max weight reduction

Oh and I saw an X-Bow in 3rd

can you remind me which car is that tuning for :P

Have you tried the PMS Camaro?

Haven't tried it out yet. I will see what I can do with it later. The brief description is funny if you never looked at the Xsara Rally.

EDIT: Took it for a spin. The car has potential for sure. The stock spring rates look insane but it drives fine. It drives very similar to a C5 ZO6, which is not a bad thing. I managed silver on the first lap which is very promising. But I am still about 1 second off gold pace still. If you could tune it to 600pp this car would do it easily. I am sure I can get it there though.
