Now i'm stuck at IA-16

Just can't do it... wasted all night trying... still i'm 2 seconds + behind!

Funny thing is, when i watch the demo.. i'm in front of the other car for the whole straight... it's on the last turns that i mess up... i either brake too soon or spinoff with too much gas when i get out of turns... dang...

Can i join the 79 golds club?


EDIT: I'm getting there... i got IA-16 to 1:44:336 now i need to shave off that last second. At least i have my ghost so i know if i'm getting a better time or not.

Oh i don't need that anymore... i've done IA-16 already... i' now at 67 gold...

I got gold on second attempt with S-2, that one was easy.

I was going to do a lot of it but since it all 1 lap races, i got tired and started dirt racing... i'll get back at the license some other day..

I browsed through the tests for the S license... i am already dreading the S-16 test... hope its not too hard like IA-16 was.
 
All you need for the S-16 is patience. You don't have to be lightnig fast, an ordinary clean lap will do fine. Believe me, I almost stopped at Bergwerk and still golded it by almost five seconds.

Yeah, if I can gold it by 10+ seconds, it can't be too tough a test. :)

Seriously, you will want to know the track like the back of your hand, but the car is really well behaved and once I got in the groove, I could consistently do this test between 5-10 seconds below the gold time.
 
Im currently on 77 with IA16 (only .104 of a second away), S(the one with the dodge around el captain) and S16. Hopefully my name will be added to the list shortly
 
I'm glad I found this thread. Ironically, there was a website/forum dedicated to going all gold called Gold Junkies. It was recently closed down because of a lack of activity. Anyway, right now, I'm working through the B License.

The current medal count: 9 gold, 7 silver, 0 bronze
 
I'm still working on S-12... i have to shave off .300 of a second or so... dang... everytime i manage to get .400+ in front of my ghost car, i always manage to get off course and fail... it's just a mather of time before i nail it and then i'll be off to S-13 to S-16 and voila.. 80 golds..

Got it.... 1:55.893... barely got it but still got gold.. now at 78 golds.
 
Finally got them all!!

NTSC/NA DFP of course!

All 80 Golds done. All missions done.

At 94.2%. Got the formual GT, The Dream Car Championship and the six longest endurances left. Too lazy to sit before the TV that long :)

with the cheats probably
you can have all the gold cups you want
i tried and got all gold
all the cars from the licences plus 19 didgits in dollar signs
so you can get any car that you want
but it was no fun so i deeleted it
how ever there is a car that you can not purchase or win in the
pal version of gt4
mazda mx crossport 2005
try to get that car and let everyone else know how to get it
 
Many members here could gold these licenses with out much difficuilt at all. So why would they bother to cheat?

If people here did cheat then I pity them, that they need to do such measures to feel better about themselves 👎

Sorry they're in chronological order, in order of completion. That's why I'm first. As far as I know, I was the first to gold all of the tests on the NTSC/NA version after it was released. There may be some others that did it faster, but I checked some of the other GT forums right after I finished, and didn't see anyone that had done it yet. So that's my story and I'm sticking to it!:dopey: You were probably among the first, if not the first PAL guy to do it, so quit complaining.:P

Golding GT4 was so much easier than GT3, GT4 took me 3 days or so, GT3, well i still havnt got all golds for it yet....:dopey:

Do you guys think GT4 was way easier to gold than GT3?

CFM, you beat me by less than a day, but you did make 80 before I did. I had to go back and check, and as I posted at goldjunkies.com:

By the way, mine was done was NTSC/NA, DS/2.
 
I finally got her done, a few days ago. GT4 all golds was easier than GT3 all golds. But, there were at least two that made me ache a bit.

I took some vacation time from work at the time so I just stayed home and played GT4 all that week.(Yes I am a GT Nerd!) I would have been done a day sooner but I remember taking a night off when all I had left was S-16 to gold. If I had to guess, you probably spent less time on it than I did per test, I probably just had more free time to get it done.:)

On a separte note, I hadn't attempted S-16 since I first golded it way back when. My very first lap out of the gate with no warm up was 7'00 flat which suprised me a bit. After a handful of laps I was down to a clean 6'55.295. I think with some concentrated effort a high 6'51 may be possible for me. Nowher close to holl01's 6'45 he just ran today, but still respectable. I guess I have gotten a bit better at this game after all, I remember spending 4-5 hours golding S16 the first time around. Running the 24hr at Nurb in A Spec probably helped a bit with learning the course though.:dopey:
