80 License Golds - Join the club!

The other day while I was having a nap my son played his file of gt4. He bought my model T from my card so that he could muck around with it. He is not yet capable of getting many gold licenses.

IMHO the photo of a model T ford means nothing.

When I have a camera I intend to take a photo of my status screen. This has my name, and all my stats including licenses.

The only worry is what can a hacker or game shark user do to void any vetting process?

Hello,

I got all golds for GT4 a few months ago. Just realised there was a club for it, wey hey! I have PAL version and a DS2. I just watched yuda's 6.49 S16 replay from the videos section. Blimey, I don't think i did it that quick, but it was very easy when i finally learned the track.

Completed 80 Golds the other day using a DS2 controller. I have the PAL version. Don't like the prize for completing the S license though!!

It's not THAT bad. At least it has some historic value. But I am a little disappointed, as I don't have the patience to make that thing do a single lap around Nurburgring.... not even in B-spec.

I love the nurby but not in the Model T Ford. Has anybody done it?

PS How often does the 80 Golds list get updated? Just wondering!!

Come on Moderators please answer the simple question. How often does the 80 Golds list get updated? Simple question really!

I've done it! In a-spec it will beat the 2CV and get close to the Suburu 360. In b-spec it gets hung up on one of the hills 1/2 way through and just sits. :yuck:

Never thought it would happen but I have been slowly chipping away at them and got the last two on the weekend :D 80 Golds!

Took the Model T for a spin at the ring but got bored after 9 minutes and put it back in the garage - great sound!

80th Gold achieved on the 27th Aug. PAL version, Driving Force (not DFP) controller for all tests. Last licence to fall to me was S12, I think. The Suzuka one in the Motul Nissan. Hardest one for me was IB16, the Nissan 92CP at La Sarthe II. *cough* I may have caressed the occasional wall on the odd test *cough*

Just found this thread, count me in. 80 golds with a DS2 and auto gears (now using manual though).

I'm in the process of golding the licenses for the second time, this time on my mate's memory card so that he has them all too... 👍

Last week I golded all 16 B licenses in 59 minutes
Another night, I started the A licenses - got to test 11 in 42 minutes but then got dragged away from the machine kicking and screaming.... am aiming to gold all 5 license sets in one night each...

found this thread and decided i would be a member of the club too.

I already did the licenses when i first started playing the game but shouldn't have done that... originaly i only got 53 golds on the first 4 license (haven't done the last one yet) and i should've waited till i practiced with the game a little more before attempting to gold the licenses.

Anyways, it's much easier now but still hard to do...

Look what just happened... you'd want to kick the PS2 in the nuts just for that!

EDIT: Two tries later i nailed it with 17.863. Are you guys like me... always so close to geting the gold but don't after many tries, when finally you nail it, its with a big difference in time???

EDIT 2: Well, i'm on my way to joining the club! 61 golds... i completed the first 3 licenses with all golds... 3 golds remaining on the fourth, still need to attack the last license tho, but that shouldn't be a problem.

I was "a bit" frustrated when my time in S15 (?), the one with the Bentley, was 0,006 seconds short of the gold. Well, the next run was gold by over three seconds.

Im all gold with just a controller :embarrassed:... :D

Maybe its the fact that i played only with a wheel on all the versions of GT that i played but i can't do anything decent with the controller...

I just can't... either i'm off track or hit walls, etc...

Umm yes...... Every license that I don't gold in the first three or four attempts follows that pattern:

step 1: Spend a few goes getting from, say, 3 seconds off to about 1 or 1.5 seconds off

step 2: Spend an hour or two crashing and failing, or messing up the first corner and restarting

step 3: Put a great run in, get about 0.3 short of the time.

step 4: spend about 10 runs knocking that down, a bit at a time, to a time within 0.03 of gold, but not gold.

step 5: crash a few more times, for luck

step 6: beat gold, out of the blue, by at least a second.
