Alpha, congrats! There's plenty of time for studying later.. :sly:

I got the 80 myself at the weekend... :D After the WRS week 6 at the Nurburgring, I golded S-16, and from then on, I knew the 80 was inevitable :sly:

Now all I have to do is the rest of the game... only about 37% complete!

I am progressing quite well towards the 80 but the cone slalom tests may be my downfall. DS2 by the way.

I was dreading these two cone slalom tests as well (memories of GT3) but actually found them quite easy this time. I took them slow at the start and gradually built the pace until I golded them. I think it took less than 10 runs through to get the gold time. (Me DS2 as well)

I suspect I will have 78 golds, 100% game completion and 999 cars before I complete them. I am quite relaxed about that fact though.

Finailly did it!!! 👍 👍 I had Tokyo, Seattle, Trial Mountain and El Capitan left to do and got them all done in less than 2 hours! Proud owner of a beautiful black Model T. So how do I get my name on the list?

Got 80-0-0 and all 34 missons done before I even ran one race. (However this is not my first game, I've restarted several times...)

Edit Forgot the details: NTSC/DF(not pro) wheel. All but B1 and IA16 using automatic.

I had 80 gold awhile ago but just saw this thread.
Add me to the list please.
NTSC/DS2.

does any one think it is more difficult to get gold in the Rally test with a steering wheel because i couldn't quite get a gold in the test A-12 with a Mad Catz 2 streering wheel but with the DS2 i got gold very easy but with the road test i do fine with the streering wheel does any body else feel this way

Those cone slaloms aren't THAT hard. Once you get familiar with the right rate of acceleration through the cones, a little luck will show up and you will eventually get a gold

That's easy for you to say - what view did you (or any of you 80G legends) use to complete this - I am thinking that bumper cam is not helping as I can't tell where the sides of the car are - it does not help that I am used to RHD and I am fairly sure that GT4 uses LHD cars.

I used the view where the hood is showing. Press select, then R1 twice in the demo. But the view wasn't really what I payed attention to. It was how hard the demo pushed the throttle and how hard they steered left and right (you can see this by pressing square until it says "display" in orange/black)

YES!!!!

I golded the IA and S licenses today to compile all 80! Ummmmm......not much else to say...well, about the cone slaloms, start braking for the turns at the third row, and go full throttle past the last two rows. And make sure you're braking in a straight line or else you have no shot at it.

Time to take my Model T to Arcade Mode and whup some Subie and 2CV butt!

PS- Is anyone updating the list?

I now have the 80 in gold. I will eventually get the ability to post some evidence of this and will edit this post then.
I had no problems on Ice, Snow and Dirt.
I dont really like Skyline tests, particularly at Trial Mountain.
With the exception of the Ford at seattle, Saleen at Special Stage, and some time spent getting Suzuka right, S License was pretty easy.
Mazda Rx7 Test at the ring took some time untill I worked out where I was slow.

I used bumpercam (and automatic) as I always do and had some problems when I thought I was well wide of a cone but hit it any way. I got Gold on the first very easily then could not get gold on the 2nd for anything. Gave up it at one point as a lost cause and went back to racing. Tried again later in a new game and passed the 2nd one without a problem after a few tries. I think that one is more luck than anything...

I used bonnet view. I was having too much trouble by 'missing by that much', and the change improved my accuracy / lines immediately. Read the intro to the test and then compare your ghost with the demo. Remember demos often go through under the time you need, seven seconds or so at the ring. If you save your ghost and then run the demo your ghost appears and you can see where you need to improve.

My 80 golds are little comfort as I continually fail mission 34 by anywhere from .6 seconds to 6 seconds time after time after time after time after... :boggled:

Finally got all 80 today (left the two cone ones for last). I don't know if GT4 is easier or if I finally put my complete effort into it, but I have owned all of the GT games since GT1 and this is the first time I have gotten all golds.

Alright, I'm giving up for a week. This is driving me insane.

B-licence: spent 4 days @ 8 hours per day

Results: All golds apart from the 3 or so guide run (I HATE THESE THERE ARE NO GHOSTS AND THEY TAKE FOREVER!) :ouch:

A-Licence:: spent 6 days @ roughly 40min per gold, apart from those stupid guide runs which I could only get 1 gold on (Note: I spent 2 hours on one of them!) :indiff:

Results: 14 Gold/ 2 silver. it took me 14 hours overall.

I-B Licence: okay this is where it starts to pi*s me of :yuck: f. 72 hrs (that equates to 3 days straight!) 11 Gold/ 5 silver.

Results 72 hours! extremely boring and annoying

I-A Licence:[/U] alright, you wanna know? ans. 8 weeks @ around 3 hour per day.

Result
: 56 days x 3 hours=168 hours!!!!! 9 Gold! :ouch:

:dunce:
S Licence:
I hate this, it's supid. totaly stupid

Result @3hrs per day: 3 months. 91 days. 91x3= 273hrs
3 Golds 6 silver 7 bronze :ouch:

522hrs in total.... Is this normal. i've finished every Gran Turismo without doing the licences of course. But this is just stupid. :nervous: :ouch:

I plan to get my 80th Gold in the next few days (I only get to play for a under one hour day, although that's gonna change very soon (read my sig))

Count me in this club. I just got all of the golds and im so proud

Hey everyone,

I was looking for this thread in the wrong forum. :dunce: Within the last week, I've gotten 80 golds and passed M34, so can I join the club? Do you have to post screenshots or anything like that? I can take a picture of the TV screen. :) Now onto the races!

Thanks,
Zdriver

I don't think anyone is updating the "list" anymore. :grumpy:

OK, so we're on the honor system then? No problema.

I'm just happy to have done it...I would actually recommend getting all golds to anyone playing the game, as I found it really improved my driving abilities and ultimately helped me pass Mission 34 (arguably, the most difficult thing in the game.)

The "only" thing I was disappointed in was the prize for getting golds in each of the licenses...they just didn't seem to fit the accomplishment very well...I mean the "S" License gold completion should have been something like a Pescarolo Judd, not a car that I'll probably never drive...ever.

Oh well, in and of itself, the experience was "still" worth it, so I won't complain any more than that. :)

Thanks,
Zdriver

Success!

I've just earned my last gold on IA-15 to bring my total to 80 golds! This is the first time I've ever golded all the tests on any of the GT games so I'm quite proud of this achievement. :)

The stats..... PAL, DS2 and Auto transmission

Randymcchickenf
Put me on the list to :) PAL Analogue controller
Iv got the ford model t to prove it, see pic below (drift shot :sly: )

This is the best GT4-pic I've ever seen. 👍 👍 :)
Working on 80 golds, got 14 s-licences to go...

I got this the first week I had the game. It's not all that hard. Then again I use a DFP, so I guess that helps. These test are all about learning to be smooth and precise, and the DFP helps with that drastically.

Anyways, NTSC/United States, Driving Force Pro.

How did someone drift the Model T? It only has 20hp, goes like 34mph, and has 2 forward gears!!
