the gold club! ^^

cant wait till im done with finals and can have to time play some more
from what i hear the mission halls should be fun, but right now my ps2 is gathering dust...

btw im playing the NA ver with DS2

I do not have too much free time to play games but today I got the last 2 golds. It has taken me around 12-13 hours to get all the golds being the hardest one the S12 test (Suzuka-Motul Pitwork Z) which took me almost 2 hours and the easiest ones the IA15 (Nurburgring-190 E 2.5), S7 (Trial Mountain-SLR) and S10 (Grand Canyon-Starion 4WD) tests which I golded at the very first try.

I have done some with the DFP but most of them with the DS2 because on weekdays I can only play for 30-45 minutes so it is not worth the hassle of setting the steering wheel up.

Heres mine :D Got 80 gold about a week ago.

(US, Half DS2 and DFP)

Very nice work holl01.👍 Which version of the game do you have? And which controller?

PAL. I used dual shock 2 for all liscence tests accept the IA graduation test, that i used the DFP. My best time on the s-16 test is now 6 53.653 using ds2. Cheers.

Got all golds a while ago. I have the Japanese version and used the DS2 since I hadn't purchased the wheel yet. Here's a quick screenshot I just took ...

Congrats to all the new posters that have gotten all 80...everything is updated on the 1st post. Nice job everyone.👍

I just got all gold tonight! What do I need to do to prove so? I would like to be added to the list. Can I take a picture with my digital camera?

What other information do you need from me?

Cheers,

Lyle Beach

Just take a pic of your game status screen and post it up here. I'm pretty sure thats all there is to it.

Okay here is a picture. NTSC/NA version and I used a DS2. I also have completed all the missions in the mission hall.

I have all gold licences as well

I have no camera to prove it but you might just as well believe me on my word. In fact I found it real easy (2,5 days of work)

I used the DFP on PAL version

peace...

No pics are necessary...this is just a friendly thread to brag a bit or talk about licences in general. 1st post is updated.:)

Yeah, I got 80 golds a few days after getting GT4, it was the first thing I did. I used DS2 with d-pad and buttons, and I left foot brake. PAL.

im glad im not the only one! my mates think im sad for my commitment to the game, but sure enough first thing i did when i got it was gold the licences. but then i sold some of my prize cars to see what the speed 12 was like. naturally after trying it out i would load back my save...but whats this? turning off the auto-save did nothing!! it still saved when i got in the car!!! :banghead:
so having golded the first 3 licences i started a new game and did it all over again for the prize cars. thankfully im now on the elusive 80 golds on my new save :D

a brag and an admission regarding my last post:

brag - having already done 3 licences before, completing them the second time was short work and i managed the whole lot in about 6-8 hours :D
admission - i was tired by the super licence and stuck it on auto for those
otherwise it was ds2/manual/pal

just got 80 gold today.. didn't take too long once I got the hang of the game. Only 20% of the game left to go..

Mission 34 is going to be a b*tch.

oh yea.. I used DFP for most but the rally ones I used DS2 on US Version

Yeah, count me in for the 80-gold club! :) (PAL-version)

Here's my proof of the gold S-license, my grandpa painted this as a present for my new aquired license....... :sly:

Eight- 0. Got the final (S-16) last night. As I mentioned on the "How many Golds thread", by far the hardest one for me was S-12. I believe this one left the least room for error than any other in the game. (NTSC/NA) DS-2

:banghead: took me 2 hours to bronze the Chamonix one!
maybe I'm just a naturally good driver, but...

this one frustrated me too (in the begining). I thought there was no way I was going to get it, but I actually adapted quite quickly to the conditions and beat it much sooner that I was expecting.

it's all about adapting to the cars handling and the snow you're on. I found that I was much quicker if I slowed down more. slow in, fast out. that is the most important thing I can tell you for Chamonix. it's far more productive to get a good exit angle allowing for a higher speed before the next turn, than it is to just rush into the turn and ram the outside leaving you with slow acceleration for the straights. also remember that with rallying, the response is delayed, and with snow it gets much worse.

in short; just slow down a good ways before the turn, turn in before you think you have to, and get good accel on the exits. you'll have it in no time! 👍
