77 Gold, i can see the light at the end of the tunnel!!! :).

Well im not CFM, but i can say that my driving skills are way way way better now i have golded these licenses, i have also done the 1st 24 driving missions with out much difficuilty at all.

I was a decent racer in gt3, but im sure im faster in gt4 now.

Golding the licenses gives you lots of tips and you learn all the tracks really good.

1 hour later i have 80 Gold!!!
nearly 6 days since i started gt4 (PAL), though i have done 24 driving missions and about 4hrs at the ring in arcade mode.

All up i think it took me about 25hrs to get 80 Gold yay!!

I was already pretty good at gt3, but the licenses are very useful for teaching proper technique. They all build on each other using more advanced techniques, so it is really quite helpful if you are serious about mastering the game. The main thing I learned was the adjustment in the physics engine from GT3 to GT4. Also, I got more accustomed to trail braking which I didn't really do until I switched to using the wheel full time a few months before GT4 came out. Trail braking rocks, especially on the 'Ring.👍

If you're more of a casual gamer and not as hardcore like some of us that compete in the GTP weekly Race Series, you may want to try and get all silver. The margin on the bronze licenses are too high to really teach you alot, as you can use poor technique and still pass them all. It's all about how much you want to get into the game. I'm at the point where I can take alot of time off even the gold times. For example, on test B-10, the full lap gold time is 2:14.400. After working on it for about 15 laps I have a saved run of 2:10.625. So gold and beyond is definately possible on all tests, though it can be frustrating to even silver when you're first learning.:scared: Have fun.:)

Feckin awesome work Frzy...

I've not gone for licence golding yet... I managed it in Prologue but I think that is because that was all there was to do in Prologue!!

I've only got IB licence at the mo... but not bothered to look at IA yet... I like to get the first few easy ones then get the rest when I need to... Mixes it up a bit.

Can someone tell me what the PAL gold time for test S16 is...? You can't enter the test til you complete all the other S tests, and I don't intend to do them for a while yet, but would like to get up to speed in Arcade mode...

Well done 👍 , 80 Golds in PAL is :nervous: :yuck: ... but hey, I wouldn't expect anything less from a WRS Div 1 driver!

To reach gold in S16, you need 7:07, i did 7:04,957 :drool:

I managed to get gold on all tests just about 2 hours ago.I'll post a picture tomorrow as proof.I was very close to throw my TV through the window on some of those,very tricky.

PAL version DS2 controller.

I have not golded any past versions of GT, never was good enough, and never tried.

Gold time for S - 16 is 7:07.700 i got a 7:07.690 :scared:.

well im currently doing the mission races, one lap magics if only you could speed up the time at the start. So far ive done 26 mission races in order.
 
Indeed Small Fryz, I do hate the waiting... I've done 33 and I know it'll be a while before i get 34.

Then I attempted mission 34 and won myself $50 000. The secret is memorising the track in detail.

I did not get Gold on the last 2 S tests, but after a while, I went back and now sit at 80 Gold.

Very Very Hard stuff.

I got all gold yesterday. Actually they didn't seem that hard. At least most of them. I have also all gold on previuos GT series :). Currently all I have to do is mission 34 and then I can start racing. Didn't even buy a car yet :). Did mission 34 yesterday three times. First time flew off twice and hit SL65AMG on overtake (entering karussel :D) and second time got to finish, 5 seconds too slow, third time came to finish 3 seconds too slow. I can find those extra seconds, just the overtaking is a bi*ch for me. The others just go all over the track :). Plus SLR is a cow to drive with lousy brakes. But it's really fun.

EDIT: BTW - does anyone know, if it is possible to skip that 2 minute waiting in the start. I drove, and was all pumped up and warmed up to race after first run, but then had to wait 2 minutes for the start of second run and got (honestly!) cold, distracted and my mind just wandered off. When the moment for me to drive came, it took me again some corners to warm up. Not funny :)
 
Hi All, got GT4 2 days ago, so far got 4 license's and 75% of special, nearly all bronze. im just getting on with the next each time. if get all silvers what car? also all golds what car?

You can go ahead and add me to the list. US version, DS2 controller. Just golded S16 a few minutes ago. My hands have finally stopped shaking enough to type heheh. I golded it on my first clean lap believe it or not. :eek: :D
