Good race; battled with Bazyly quite a bit. With small grid yes to AI; but if more real drivers turn up; turn AI off. Turn off safety car to reduce lag

AI lag also, so you must be careful around them too, not just Baumi :sly:

Yes, nice race.
We battled at begining but i made mistake and destroyed my front wing.
I catched up but on last laps (last pitstop on lap 20) i didn't have any tires left and was fighting for grip.
I was so slow on last lap that Baumi lapped me just before final corner.

No problem with AI, but Heidfeld overshooted first corner going veeery wide.

Oh yeah, about the lag.

At the start, on my screen I pulled quite a large gap over everyone. What did it look like on your screens?

3stopper.
Started on options
Lap 6 primes
Lap 16primes
Lap 27? Options

Baumi did (I think)
Started on options
Lap 5 primes
Lap 15 primes
Lap 25 primes

Due to my crash in early stage of race - just after 1st pit stop, i had to change tactic and i did 3 stops (including front wing changing)

so:
start: option
1st stop: primes
2nd : primes
3rd: primes (lap 20)

Sure, take it.

You don't understand, I am Peter, I am the best F1 2011 driver in all of Jamaica! I must drive!

- Cool Runnings (or so)

:)

Time to win a championship. Or at least a lot of races. JCM and Baumi are probably better than my now, though. Going to take me a while to get back in form.

Mwahahahahaha!!!! Now to train the Sauber AI to attack you the same way Williams and Renault AI attack me!!!! Or simply turn off the AI since we'll probably have enough people now :)

Should be some close races, wins are hard enough for me when I'm always finding new and unique ways of messing up in the last stint of the race, now it's going to be even harder to win! Should be really fun though :)

I still haven't found the courage to race again. Maybe some day.
I'd rather enjoy my slumber.

Ahh yeah, sleeping is nice :)

I had some problems with my internet, and just got it working now, so 5minutes until the race, but it might start slightly late.

I've only done about 5laps in practice, so I'm only hoping for a podium :)

EDIT: Nope, it'll be on time :)

EDIT2: 3minutes late

I sent out a second invite to everyone, so if there are any disconnects people can hopefully get back in without having to restart the lobby. Hopefully...

EDIT3: Baumi ends my pole position streak 👍 :)

Race is about to start, and it's just occured to me that I don't have a tyre strategy! I'll just copy Baumi's strategy probably :P

What was that?

I just destroyed my car by going over the curb at pouhon...

A good few laps again at the beginning, but after my stop I lost it at the top of les combes while me tires weren't up to temperature yet.

Ahhh, another victim of the invisible wall glitches which Codies should've fixed that with the patch 👎 Just curious, did you hit the one on the inside (near apex), or the one on the outside exit?

Quali:
1. Baumi27 1:41.496
2. jcm +0.571
3. BlacquesJacques +1.433
4. Bazylfox +1.724
5. delimitri -no time set-

Race:
1. jcm 39:35.346 (1:42.347)
2. BlacquesJacques +19.730
3. Bazylfox +40.136
4. Baumi27 DNF-(Invisible Wall at Pouhon)
5. delimitri DSQ-(Bad connection?)

Everyone who finished 2-stopped. Me and Baumi were having great battles in the first stint, with BlacquesJacques right behind waiting patiently. Despite the minor lag we had some great fair racing, and I even overtook him in the second half of Eau Rouge when he made a slight mistake! It was very fun and close racing, but after the pitstops we all had to save fuel, and then Baumi hit an invisible wall and he was done. I drove consistently and won, BlacquesJacques coming in second meaning that we got a Canadian 1-2 👍 :D. Bazylfox had some problems with AI and finished 3rd, while delimitri DSQed early.

New Standings, hopefully the math is right.

1 - Baumi27 - Marussia Virgin Racing - 225 points
2 - jcm - Team Lotus - 175 points
3 - PAWEL17 - AT&T Williams - 166 points
4 - BlacqueJacques - AT&T Williams - 149 points
5 - bazylfox - Scuderia Ferrari - 140 points
6 - delimitri - Lotus Renault GP - 68 points
7 - davybrowndog10 - Red Bull Racing - 58 points
8 - socom_killer - Force India - 32 points
9 - V12Engine - Team Lotus - 17 points
10 - Jerry 786 - Scuderia Ferrari - 15 points
11 - Mr.S - Vodafone McLaren Mercedes - 14 points
12 - Matty - Scuderia Ferrari - 8 points
13 - Cowboys965 - Red Bull - 6 points

Teams
1 - AT&T Williams - 315 points
2 - Marussia Virgin Racing - 225 points
3 - Team Lotus - 192 points
4 - Scuderia Ferrari - 155 points
5 - Lotus Renault GP - 68 points

Bloody AI loves to get in my way as well, especially in qualifying. Countless times have I been on a lap set for P1, then out of nowhere comes a Lotus or a HRT.

Spent a lot of time running on Prime tyres before, so my stints shouldn't be affected too much. In fact, more of the time I feel more comfortable and balanced on Primes, and at tracks like Monaco, I prefer to stay off of the Options. You remember that race we had where I took pole on Primes.

I also remember in the F1 2010 series at Abu Dhabi when you outqualified me by 3seconds, and beat me in the race! Now I am faster then you, and I can train my Sauber minions to destroy you!!!!!

...maybe...

We will just have to wait and see about that. I've gotten setup and driving help from the very best of F1 2011, which I will use to my advantage

So have I, Mr DarkPSI and Mr ShaggyAlonso have taught me the hidden secrets of setups, and I plan on exploiting that knowledge to get a very illegal advantage :P

That's exactly who I got my mastery from. The students have to overcome the masters one day.

Just for reference, what's your fastest ever lap at New Dehli?

I have no idea, but I do know that I got pole in Monaco on expert in an HRT :) And that I won very easily in New Dehli, along with 7 other tracks so far in my first HRT 20% expert career season :)

(HRT is currently leading the constructors championship due to my 299points, prior to the race in Brazil. If all goes well, HRT will have gotten both drivers and constructors championship, with only one driver scoring points, on expert 20% races).

PAWEL17
Well done jacques. 7 races left now? 90 points ahead of marussia, Constructors should be williams. Let's hope.

Caterham could still get it :P

Not even a rough guess? I've managed to demolish the competition at Monaco in an HRT as well.

Nice race with a lot of fighting (not fair in some moments) and i wish to personaly give big thx for that to Kamui and Mark :)
Before first corner i took over BlacqueJacques and was 3rd but in came Webber, after longest straight i took him over but got rammed in corner. I lost position to Jacques and Mark but in came Kamui lool

...yes we had some laught couple of times after the race in the pits :P

Yes you need to pick your spots on the track to pass the AI, they are troublemakers eh :)

Nice to finish on the podium for a change; 2nd place my best finish so far:tup:

I was surprised when I saw the message that Baumi had destroyed his car

Managed to keep up with JCM and Baumi while they were battling over the course of a lap.

A mistake and I managed to get 2nd and then Baumi DNF'd.

I only stopped twice; on lap 6 for primes and lap 16 for Options

See you at Monza :dopey:
