Ill try this with a 550pp moded viper srt/10 coupe, anyone had luck with that?

Anyway if they make this hard events they should remove those long intros from them. I love this hard challenges and especially if it is at the nur but i hate those long a87 intros that I cant skip

I despise this track enough without getting ridiculous events like this. :banghead: The AI gets, what, a minute head start? On the Nordschleife?! :irked:

Ugh.

Anyway...
You cant call yourself a fan of racing or motorsports if you despise the nur, practice on it and you will love it, its the mother of all tracks, it has everything and makes you better, it is real fun.

This is definitely pne of those events that improved my driving. After several attempts with a spyker, viper acr, r8 chromeline and a Ferrari 458, I finally did it in a zz2. Best time was 7:15 so I'm happy with that. Was the best seasonal in a while.

Finally got under 7 minutes with the C6 Z06.

No assists except ABS 1. Total time was 7:56.806 and the lap time was 6:59.256.

I'm so happy I broke my own record.

This car is a pure gem !

I found a 550 PP tune in Praiano's garage (Mr P. is such a magician) that works perfectly well for this seasonal in my opinion, very fast and very safe, as he writes in the tuning sheet.

Thanks BMWcrazy for giving me the idea to try this jewel and congratulations for your time !

I WAS ROBED!

I was behind the One-77 in the MP4 3 turns from the line with no way to win so I had a what the heck moment. Pulled up on the e-brake tossed it sideways across the grass and ended up banging doors with the Aston. This put the Aston in to the rail and I quickly down shifted and floored it for the lead. I crossed the line first and it gave me the gold but the payout didn't have my X5 bonus. 170k, what the heck? I guess had to pay for the carnage I caused?

My 550PP KTM Street was okay for this job. No special setup. I took it as it was configured for my last 550PP race with it.

I raced the Viper / One-77 grid (which is the easier race?) and had to defend myself at the very end of the long straight. Finished with a 7:12.xxx

End of story.

That is wild!!

My two from last night, ABS1 only...this is almost sad that I am tossing up between the gym or GT6 after work...I am so addicted to this track, lol.

Couple more sub 7 mins...

RUF RGT. 6'53..... Almost 100% clean. Pretty challenging, but might be becasue I too much toe and lsd decel off it... Oversteer everywhere :D

Ferrari 288 GTO. 6'53... Wonderful car. Great balance... Quite oversteery, but some underteer in the faster corners.

@GTRufus mentioned in an earlier post that he has.

Thanks for the credit :)

I felt somehow that PD was making these events especially for the miatas :P The MX-5 from 2007 has been maxed out at 550PP. So basically if the Nordschleife challenge would allow us to use cars up to 600PP the Miata wouldn't stand a chance. :P

its insane D:. plus its hard to pass cars because the road is so narrow and some cars are so fat and wide .-. ... im looking at you GT-rs and Ford GT's >_>

This event definitely reminds me of mission 34, to this day I still couldn't win that event too.

Had time for a quick attempts with the Ferrari 458 tonight, still some time to find , ended with 6:44.286 lap time i think it can do 6:42 for me the way it is, i dont know with more tuning and different car lineup. :)

I didnt had time to work on tuning i kept stock suspension..
-Stage 3 weight reduction + window and Hood
-power limiter set to hit 550pp
-adjusted gear ratio (sorry i dont have the data...)
-Diff 25/38/10
-Brake bias 5/4
-stock suspension

Does ''expert'' level mean you are an expert if you dont fall asleep before the starting line?

Isuppose i should try a different car. Third seems to be the best i can do with a GT-R. I see some people have done it with a 458 and a 288. I bought an 07 Miata that i haven't tried yet... would like to win it with a Ferrari but the 599 didn't do well at all. Maybe it's the driver...

I had a hell of a time with it, but the GT-R ended up working for me. The "throw and catch" method I mentioned seemed to work well... at least with SRF and Active Steering, anyway. I guess it also depends upon how dirty you want your victory to be.

On a side note, I am curious to see what times the super-fast people here (@Stotty and @WhoosierGirl, to name two) can get with this tune:

Okay...I'm sorry it took me so long to get back on my PS3 today. Here is the tune that I used for my GT-R Black Edition. The suspension settings come from @shaunm80 (Exeter's Garage) and his GT-R B.E. tune.

Tires: SS
Ride Height: 90/90
Spring Rate: 19.50/11.00
Dampers Comp: 5/8
Dampers Ext: 6/7
Anti-Roll Bars: 2/5
Camber Angle: 0.0/0.0 (I also used 0.2/0.2 and won) but prefered none
Toe Angle: -0.06/0.02
Brake Balance: I used 5/5 but this is a very personal thing...Use what feels right to you.

Fully Custom LSD
Initial Torque: 9/10
Accel Sensitivity: 9/11
Braking Sensitivity: 6/10
Twin-Plate Clutch
Carbon Drive Shaft
Torque Split: 35/65

Power Limiter: 82.5%
Intake Tuning

Weight Reduction: Stage 3
Carbon Hood
Window Weight Reduction

This should leave you at a weight of 1,386kg with a 52 : 48 weight distribution.
HP = 473hp
Torque = 495lb/ft

Transmission
Install Dog-Clutch Transmission. Default settings should be fine, except Final Gear. I lowered Final Gear to 3.260. I had a race where I ran with the default final gear and the Corvette ZR1 pulled away from me on the final straightaway even though I was drafting him right on his bumper. I've reached 210mph with this Final Gear and some drafting / slingshot at the top of the hill.

If you aren't thrilled with that transmission, feel free to look at some of the well known tuners, if you aren't comfortable doing it on your own. Just make sure you have enough top end for the straightaway.

Just to be certain. My transmission is set to the following:
Max Speed 211
1: 3.224
2: 2.133
3: 1.541
4: 1.169
5: 0.931
6: 0.779

Final Gear: 3.260

Good luck...Again, I'm sorry it took me so long to post this. Oh, one last thing. Don't be afraid to adjust the torque distribution from 35:65 to better suit your driving style. I definitely wouldn't go any higher than 40:60 for increasing more front torque and if anything you'd probably prefer to go the other direction with it. Like to 30:70 to keep that torque in the back. Try it at 35:65 first...
I'd love to see how insane it was, if you guys were interested. (Unless you already posted times with the GT-R and I just missed it.)
