I had a few pretty thrilling races with the McLaren F1 GTR while tuning this car. In one race, we were both wrecking at the end, pretty epic race that one was. After I got the car fully tuned, it became pretty easy to beat him. Still great fun chasing him down though. I got the car geared where it will eventually top out in the draft, so you may want to change that if it becomes an issue. I was going for more acceleration than top speed and I got to the point where I was able to catch, pass, and pull away from the McLaren before that final straight. If you are needing to use the draft to pass him along that straight, then you are probably going to want to change the gearing a tick or two. I wish I had a way to record races though as that one was pretty awesome where we were both wrecking after the straight, a damn wild finish and one of the best I had in the game. That's why I named the car "No Fear" because that's really how you have to drive it, all out and no fear!!!
At the Nurb all my transmission tunes are set to overtake the rabbits before or just at the start of the long straightaway. Thank you again!!

After several tries, made good enough passes to win with a Tuscan. Zonda LM Race Car was fastest opponent in all of the races.

My lap: 6:40.363
Total time: 7:14.996

You can brake pretty late in this - after turning right - when getting rid of the ca. 300 speed.

Disabled Racer: I could have had a faster time had it not been for that idiot driving the Viper!

Viper Driver: I could have won the race had that idiot, Disabled Racer not wrecked me!

Always two sides to every story... :D

This is one of those rare races for me that are challenging to win and satisfying when you actually do. It's definitely a favorite combo of mine. Another couple of wins came courtesy of @Ridox2JZGTE and his replica VLN SP9 tune for the Z4 GT3. One of my favorite cars on the game. Might be running it a lot more until Thursday.

Just thought I'd share my tune on here hoping to get a good time posted from someone who is better at this track than me haha:). I'm still kind of new to this track. I avoided it like the plague in gt5 and never really practiced it until the previous gt6 seasonal non-racecar race held here. so I never really got the hang of it:embarrassed:. Oh well, here's what I've been grinding with.

The Peugot 905 does a pretty good job too, but the TS030 is best.

Agreed. My favourite car is the peugeot 905 but the TS030 destroyed my time by over 5 seconds. I just bought an AMG Mercedes CLK earlier and i was amazed how good it was, only had one lap with it so far but it's an absolute monster! It was only a couple of seconds behind the 905. Worth a look for anyone looking for a fast car around this track.

Another great race winning car that's fun to throw around this track, really had lots of fun with this one.

Nice tune but I can't win with this one.. Impossible to get laptimes under the 7 min. For me that is.. On the straight it couldn't grab the tail of the leading ai and I am not fast enough around the ring to get the lead before the last straight..

For me by far the most enjoyable seasonal event for a long time.

I have finally broken the for me, a very slow driver, magic 7 minutes total time barrier and can now do it on a regular basis. My choice of car is to no surprise the TS030. Best time so far 6.57.145.

I'm running out of cars to try! :dunce:

A couple others cars that most of you probably never thought to try that can win.

The AMG Mercedes 190 E 2.5 - Evolution II '92 (A lot faster than my time indicates = needs a better tune)
Hyundai Accent Rally Car. (Needs a slow field to win)

One car I couldn't win with was the Renault R8 Gordini '66. Yes I know I'm crazy for trying!

MISSION IMPOSSIBLE? YOU TELL ME? Maybe one of you can win with it, but I can't. :grumpy: Don't be fooled by its looks, it can do 160+ mph, despite being around 500 PP. (depending on added ballast) Good luck should you accept this challenge!

Finally after many attempts 6:40 (7:14 total time) with the mcLaren F1 GTR I showed the zonda my brake lights after the long straight :D

Did this with the Chaparral 2D detuned to meet the maximum PP requirement. I decreased the suspension compression, increased the extension settings and by a tad and added a slight bit of rear downforce. Also adjusted the transmission setting to 211MPH and I was good to go. And it should be a performer at the ring -- it won the 1000km of Nurburgring in '66! 👍

Anyone looking for a real good car for this one, try the Subaru concept car. I have had some epic battles with the dude in the McLaren stealth F1. The vizty, or whatever its called is made for this and sounds great , especially on the uphill section of the track. cheers

So far for me not managed anything under 7 minutes, but winning plenty by small margins either catching on the final straight in the slipstream or holding them back from passing me on the final straight!
- Impreza Super Touring Car 7:14.690 (2nd McLaren F1 GTR 7:15,613)
- HSV-010 GT 15th Anniv 7:08.503 (2nd GT-R Concept LM Race Car 7:09,505, 3rd TS030 Hybrid)
- GT-R N24 GT Academy 7:18.377 (2nd Corvette Z06 (C6) LM Race Car 7:19.813)
- GT-R GT500 Stealth Model 7:11.842 (2nd GT by Citroen Race Car 7:13.477)
- Viziv GT Vision Gran Turismo 7:20.072 (2nd G-R Concept LM Race Car 7:20.975)
Reached 50Million credits now so need to spend some money on something else - any suggestions????

Oops Ok edit that the times above are total race times - just won in the Volkswagen GTI Roadster Vision Gran Turismo in 7:22.533 over the Ford GT LM Race Car but my lap time was 6:47.368!

Sorry for the wait, I have been very busy lately.

Wow! What an extreme tune, Madame! Now I understand better how you can throw this car on the track like you do . Nevertheless, my driving style is too much conservative and poor to beat A. David with this car. :dopey: One thing though: after two tries, I remembered that you pilot with auto trans, so I switched to that and improved my time by 10 seconds! And then, the Garaiya was flying indeed... :) Do you think that your tune suits auto better than manual, or maybe it is just me? Anyway, thanks for sharing your tunes, pics and videos despite your busy schedule, always very impressive and appreciated.

Wanted to post this last night:

Finally done in 6:42.733 with the TS030. Total time 7:17.133.

Now to do the same with the Garaiya.

Thank you, and I think the automatic helps me from the stand point of there is less to think about while driving. I joke that I am already doing to many things at one time with streering, accelerating and braking, so shifting just puts to much pressure on my brain, lol.

It has taking me two years to finally start using my left foot to brake so, shifting is the last proper technique to learn. At my current pace of play, it is going to be quite some time before it ever happens, lol.

I think it should be mandatory for all other cars to have slow moving vehicle signs on the back of their cars when racing against WhoosierGirl! Clear a path... WhoosierGirl is coming through!

View attachment 327337

Imagine the day when @WhoosierGirl decides to drive with manual gears... Everyone else on the track would say: hey, I think I saw a pink missile overtaking me, it's time to drop whisky... :)

Edit: I made it! Gold with WhoosierGirl's Autobacs Garaiya (using paddles :)). But I was lucky Mr David didn't show up... :sly:

It has taking me two years to finally start using my left foot to brake (...)

Oh, so you happen to brake?

HI...I feel a little relieved as I yesterday finally made a sub-seven total time in my TS030...Nothing to brag about at all, just a relief after billions of tries...Got total time 6.57.xxx (can`t remember the decimals), no aids only ABS1...Oh and my clumsy, inaccurate thumb on my controller...

I find it very impressive what some of You guys and girls can do...Saw mr nowayback and his 6.36.xxx earlier in thread. How on Earth is that possible??? He must`ve used a helicopter???

I`m not proud of my 6.57 time, and I´m not happy with it. Just relieved. Thats all...

@WhoosierGirl' Have you tried the Mitsubishi FTO Super Touring Car? That's my favorite car to race at the Ring. It's not my fastest car I've raced in this seasonal, but for me with my disability with my hand hand/wrist, it is probably the best handling car for me that doesn't hurt me too much. You can probably run a 6:40 total time with the FTO!

Not my best lap, but it certainly shows it is easily capable of defeating A. David and running sub 7:00 total lap times.

^ Great run there, DR. to me the FTO is a sleeper - not many know how amazingly well this car does. Used it a lot in GT4 and GT5, though haven't really had the time to play with in in GT6. My B-Spec drivers loved it and would thrash the AI silly.
