Nascar racecar's are NOT all the same.

Here is the 2013 #18 and the 2011 #83 with no oil change set at 600pp.
The #18 ends up with 714hp and the #83 717hp, that wouldn't happen if they were the same.

Here is the same cars using the best setup I have for the #18 car, ran them both twice and both times the #83 was 2 seconds faster. Using the best #83 setup resulted in a 7:09 for the #83 and an awful 7:17 for the #18.
The #18 is a very good road race car but the extra speed of the #83 helps here with the high speed areas.

Here is both cars at Daytona 100% new and stock, no oil change with RH tires, no aids.
The #83 is very loose compared to the #18 which is much more planted in the corners.
Simple test to show the difference in the cars.

This is an old picture of the 2013's with 615pp and 616pp from the original GT6 disk, before any updates.
Any nascar that had 616pp is slower than the 615pp ones. The 616pp 2013 cars are the #18, #99 and #43.
The 2010's and 11's also had some 616pp cars, I can't find the picture though.
After the first update all of them start out at 620pp and 627pp with an oil change.

I did all three A-spec races with only Camaros.

I used the Camaro LM for this, detuned to replicate a GT1 (GTS-1) spec car that raced at Sebring 1996 (IIRC). Took me three tries to beat the Corvette LM racecar that led the field. Won by by 0.3s!

Agreed.

Any chance you'll grab the TS030 and run a lap to blow my time away so I can have something to shoot for?

Might be a few days but I will try the TS030.

Here is some more proof that there is some bad information being spread around.

This is how they all break down at 600pp, this is not a feeling that they are different, these are numbers from the game.
These almost perfectly fit how they all ran when I tested them all over a year ago.

Did a 6:15.8** lap with the TS030. Total race time was 6:49.819.

TS030 was waaay too OP, even A. David didn't stand a chance.

Do you mean "as long as you DON'T come off the track"?

Yes

The biggest challenge is memorising the track, or at least the tricky sections, half of it
can be done by reading the map alone.

This is the first time I've actually driven the whole course. I knew sections of it from other challenges. Especially the bastard Christmas Seasonal that took me ages. Admittedly I only got the game at Christmas!

Drafted A.David on the back straight for the win...fun race...I'm enjoying this seasonal a lot...now back to it for another one :gtpflag:

BMW M3 GT brought me gold, after many attempts, in a lap of 6:49 (7:24) :gtpflag: Starting to like the ring thanks to the excellent Brazilian tune...

Has anyone won this with a Ford GT? (Any model/year?)
I been trying for two days with Praiano tunes (detuned with power limiter only) on the Ford GTs and best I can do is 2ed place; can't get over 171 mph on the long straight. Would love to hear about a winning Ford GT and it's tune! Thanks!

Edit: As oftentimes happens, not eight minutes after posting above request, I accomplished the goal. Granted, it was the easist scenario (G(ary) Cooper's Nissan GT-R Concept LM Race Car as rabbit). I was in the Ford GT Spec II Test Car, using Praiano's tune (lowered PP using limiter only). Took P2 at 12 km mark (Kesselchen) and could hear the Nissan when I reached Karrussel, finally saw him at 16 km mark (Brunnchen) and managed a drafting pass under the first overpass at beginning of Dottinger Hohe. Blocked the whole length of the straight. Finished with a lead of 0.242! (Whew!) Lap was 6.43.652; total time 7.19.200. I know, I know, nothing to brag about, but hey, I'm still learning...
I too, have won with the GT test car. The Test car was the lead. limiting the downforce allowed a 184 mph down the long final stretch.

This race is SO much more interesting than the Daytona 24Hr, that is one repetitive irritating track. The Nürburgring Nordschleife never gets boring as it's constant stimulation, speed and corners. A 24 minute seasonal race from day to night would be awesome.

A Bathurst 24 minute, that would be far more interesting than Daytona too. Why didn't they make one during the real event?

That's a good reminder about the downforce, thanks! It didn't cross my mind... duh.:dunce:

I used HSV base model and finished 4th. Ran a 7.22 and finished 40 secs behind the TS030 rabbit

No aids. Tune by me. In P1 Corvette Z06 (C6). P2 Mercedes Benz SLS. P3 Nissan GT-R Nismo. Pass for the win at Dottinger Hohe. km 20. Winning margin over the Corvette 00.419.

Another car I tuned for this event. Won the event a few times with the TS030 Hybrid '12 and the McLaren F1 GTR BMW as rabbits. Its a bit more tame than my BMW, but not much....I just cannot stand a tight car. :mischievous:

I may have to try this one when I get home. It was a 3 time winner(1999,2001,2002) of the N24 in Zakspeed's care. I'm looking forward to running it.

I could not win this event after 5 or so laps :(
Corvette LM race car stock@600 PP, 7:10 lap times (not total time) 3rd place.
TS030 stock@600 PP, 7:00 lap times (not total times) 2nd place. This car is a cheat lol comparing to other 600PP cars, it is too fast even with a slow driver like me. 10 seconds improvement is just too big of a gap.

I have problems passing them. A lot of times I got double block especially by the 8th/9th positions and also on some straight, they are so damn slow that forces me to slow down. The road is quite narrow to pass them cleanly and these AIs seem to block me by moving to my side when i attempt to pass lol.

Check out my video when they double stack/block on you and then try the Ford GT LM Race Car. If you want I can also give you my tune.

You need a minimum 7:22 TOTAL TIME to win with the TS030. Which is about a 6:45 Lap time.

7 Minute Lap time is not usually enough!

In real life that's a really fast time. Most road legal Supercars don't make that.

Want to go fast on the long straight? Try the Corvette StingRay Racer Concept '59. It will do 222 mph+ without the draft! Of course controlling the "Rocket Vette" is a different story. ... :banghead: I think the people at PD should offer 50 million credits to your account if you win this event with that car. 💡

Raise your hand if you knew the Monster Sport SX4 could approach total times of around 7:00 despite a weak top end in the middle 160's mph on the long last straight? With a better driver, and some better transmission tuning and/or catching the draft of A. David, it probably can run a sub 7:00 total lap time. Pretty amazing for an aerodynamically-challenged vehicle...View attachment 319502 View attachment 319503
I didn't know it could be painted. In GT5 on some courses it had almost 2J-like capabilities but it looks silly so I don't have one.

I tried this seasonal tonight with DS3 in RX7 LM Race car and did a 6:36.597 in stock power and not extreme tuning (aero around middle). Much fun and surprisingly stable in this track. Won Zonda LM, Ford GT LM Spec II and Viper Oreca.

That's a mighty empty track in front of your StingRay Racer:eek:

Have you dusted everyone off by the time you were screaming under the Antoniusbuche overpass?

Or did you let the field first proceed down the Dottinger, so you wouldn't have any AI interference when you throttled up your StingRay Racer?;):D

Nice idea!👍

You must be at 50,000,000 credits. You run these Seasonal Events over and over with very impressive results! 👍 I really, really enjoy this particular event, yet I've only run it 4 times (three victories, one second place ). I wish I had the motivation you have.
