The first time I tried it in my trusty Z4 GT3 with praianos original tune I got the dream lineup. The 2 rabbits were the GTR GT3s. I haven't found that lineup again yet. I was at stock power and 592PP. My final time was around 6:53. I have knocked it down to a 6:48, but still making mistakes in traffic and losing time.

Sorry this is off topic, but if you want to watch some bare knuckle edge of your seat racing, check out the V8 Super cars today.
If you think there s no argy bargy in real racing check it out.
Just a massive smash at the Senna chicane in the Gt class
Live today from my home town Adelaide. :D

EDIT - Well I'll be 🤬. I just noticed that there is a V8 SuperCars thread here on :gtpflag:

This forum never ceases to amaze me :)

Racing the jag xj13 here but can't reach the tail of the zonda and the Nissan. Every time finished third, 5 second behind. I think I need to know the ring a lot better to gain more speed and gold.

Has anyone won this with a Ford GT? (Any model/year?)
I been trying for two days with Praiano tunes (detuned with power limiter only) on the Ford GTs and best I can do is 2ed place; can't get over 171 mph on the long straight. Would love to hear about a winning Ford GT and it's tune! Thanks!

Edit: As oftentimes happens, not eight minutes after posting above request, I accomplished the goal. Granted, it was the easist scenario (G(ary) Cooper's Nissan GT-R Concept LM Race Car as rabbit). I was in the Ford GT Spec II Test Car, using Praiano's tune (lowered PP using limiter only). Took P2 at 12 km mark (Kesselchen) and could hear the Nissan when I reached Karrussel, finally saw him at 16 km mark (Brunnchen) and managed a drafting pass under the first overpass at beginning of Dottinger Hohe. Blocked the whole length of the straight. Finished with a lead of 0.242! (Whew!) Lap was 6.43.652; total time 7.19.200. I know, I know, nothing to brag about, but hey, I'm still learning...

I've used and won several times with the Ford GT LM Race Car and have had times a little over 7:05, with a little room for improvement. I'm using my own amateur tuning on it, so I have no doubt it can more than likely go sub 7:00 total time with a better setup and driver than myself. I chose the LM Race car because it doesn't have a wing, which "should" help it a little on the long straights. (The picture below is not my fastest time.. I didn't save those)

Raise your hand if you knew the Monster Sport SX4 could approach total times of around 7:00 despite a weak top end in the middle 160's mph on the long last straight? With a better driver, and some better transmission tuning and/or catching the draft of A. David, it probably can run a sub 7:00 total lap time. Pretty amazing for an aerodynamically-challenged vehicle...

did the race first time in a 2J that was on 75% power and won. tried other cars like 787b and the LM55 and its proper easy.

LM55 is quite interesting in this event. Very quick even with serious power limited. -- Side note: I used part of praiano63 tune but was sure I had just a little better gear ratios and downforce --- FAIL --- once again Praiano is far superior in all aspects compared to what I can do. I use tunes from many members here on GTP but the in-a-pinch go to man the Brazil fan. His app is worth buying and his tunes are worth a donation

Thank you! I will give it a ride.

I had a few pretty thrilling races with the McLaren F1 GTR while tuning this car. In one race, we were both wrecking at the end, pretty epic race that one was. After I got the car fully tuned, it became pretty easy to beat him. Still great fun chasing him down though. I got the car geared where it will eventually top out in the draft, so you may want to change that if it becomes an issue. I was going for more acceleration than top speed and I got to the point where I was able to catch, pass, and pull away from the McLaren before that final straight. If you are needing to use the draft to pass him along that straight, then you are probably going to want to change the gearing a tick or two. I wish I had a way to record races though as that one was pretty awesome where we were both wrecking after the straight, a damn wild finish and one of the best I had in the game. That's why I named the car "No Fear" because that's really how you have to drive it, all out and no fear!!!

You have to change the top speed to 124mph to get the right ratios. I literally just built it and hit the same issue.
Oh ok. He's just flipping the transmission. The TS 193 was throwing me off.
Thanks.

How do you do your transmission? Nothing I do gets those numbers with a brand new car.

Yea, guess I missed a step in my explanation there. :dunce: Just do like @lilcat89 said, flip the trans. I have like 12 different methods in setting the gears, that is just one of them and sometimes I miss a step in my explanation.

@Jfrod No, I just missed a step in my explanation.

Had some fun winning with this car. Here is the tune I built for it if anyone wants to give it a try.

You, my friend, have created the "Widow-maker" tune for this lovely car! It very much reminds me of praianos original tune for it. It's a bit unpredictable over bumps and kerbs and understeers if you get on the power too early. It took me a couple of races to get used to the tune and its limits, but overall, a very good package. The total time was 7:22. That's my input on it with DS3. I give it a 👍.

Doing the steps in this order doesn't work.
The only way is is to ignore the 193. Set the TS to 124 and it is gold.

Yes it does, I did them right while I was typing it out. :odd: If you are achieving them another way, that's fine too I suppose.
EDIT: I still 🤬 it up. It goes like this:

@
crowhop My apologies, I was in a bit of a hurry earlier. The above steps are what I do to achieve the gearing.

@lilcat89 Thanks for the 👍. I use a wheel and I like my turns on the loose side so yea, if you are using a DS3, the tune may prove a bit difficult to drive. :scared: That's why I named the car "No Fear" :mischievous:

It's funny because after I tried your tune, I named it "The Widow Maker". If you 🤬 up, it bites your head off!

Is it possible if it can be used for Jeff Gordon's Impala?

Yes. There are those who believe that NASCAR setups can't be transferred from car to car because they have different handling characteristics, I believe otherwise. I have no problem using the same setup from one NASCAR car to the other. I believe they are all the same. This is a debate I will not be dragged into again though so do whatever you believe works, to each their own. 👍

What total time did you get when racing this setup? I won pretty easy in the Kyle Busch Camry, but I had an easy field and had no drafting help in the final straight because I was leading, which resulted in what I think is a mediocre total time of 7:24.219.

7'21.602. I've could improve more, but after testing and tuning different cars in this event for over 6 hours that day, by the time I got to this car, all I was interested in was winning at that point. Pretty sure I could knock off another 5 seconds pretty easily.

Overtaking after the long straight is one of my favourite moves. Check the 'Overtakes' thread in the Photomode Forum for some great blow-by-blows.

I did use the Mini recently at the Ring (Offline) and overtook the Leader (who passed me on the straight) right after the Bilstein sign at Antoniusbusch.
That's a great feeling - when you have a car that doesn't have the top speed but with enough agility to get past the leader at Hohenrain or fly past them through the Tiergarten just before the Shikane. It's also possible to get at the leader if you are positioned right when you both enter T13.

BTW - I'm really enjoying the way you are enjoying this game. 👍
