As would I.

I saw that story on Yahoo, along with more pictures. It may have sat for 40 some years, but it clearly wasn't neglected.

That Boss 302 looks mint. Holy 🤬

Also, I don't know why I didn't say anything before, but the Sports 800 @RocZX posted is also insane.

Dori was semi-abandoned before the build ...

She was my car already. I drove her in high school and for a few months in college. She'd been parked for a little over six years before we pulled her out for the build. Not a lot of time to rust, but it still did it's work where it could.

Floorpan under the driver's seat

Some kind of rodent nest under the hood on top of the fuel tank

@adam46 It was temporarily sitting there (the field is owned by a guy who restores old Jags and such) and was sold to some guy in Japan to be raced. Here it is repainted to its original livery:

Beyond that, there are no more records of the car.

Meanwhile...

Yes I did, and I simply had to post those cars. I'm surprised you didn't as they should definitely be shared! :D

I don't think I'd have the heart to post such a vast quantity of images that are that distressing to the petrolhead! In all seriousness, thanks for stopping me from going on a countrywide Google Maps Lister hunt.

Stop posting this! Monstrous people. This post made me cry. That poor, poor Bugatti. Or that miserable Stratos... Oh the sadness...

I felt the second Stratos was familiar.

Also, allow me share more sad images.

This of course, judging by the first picture even, is just a fraction of what there is in that junkyard. Here is the link to the rest of the cars, as there are too many to bother posting. Enjoy!

I'm pretty sure that I said this in another thread months ago, but still awesome.

Yeah I did read that same story you posted months ago..

That COPO Camaro I like better before the restoration honestly. Sometimes, old cars like, at least to me, I feel are better left alone and admired for their history.

I agree!

Spacegoat...I think the VB commodore is a mile stone in Australian car history!

But lots of people did not like it at the time, late 70's

Lotus Exige S, this is Reply Button. Reply Button, this is Lotus Exige S. Now that you guys have been properly introduced, Lotus Exige S, I think there's something about Reply Button here that you'd be really fascinated by - you can click him on multiple posts at once, so that all of your replies to people are in one single post rather than an AUP-violating three consecutive posts. I've got a feeling about you two, something tells me you're going to be really good friends.

Just saw this article with a whole bunch of abandoned cars, quite a few have already been posted here but here's a link.

So I hope that's fine for you guys, the link just directs me to the mobile site which only shows a tiny fraction of the photos...

Edit: Some random pics
