Thanks Motor City for the tune! Works great.

I got a G27 for Christmas and I'm still getting used to it but managed a 2.20.6. My next lap after that was going to be a low 2.19 but I spun out braking in to Hill. I went just little too wide and touched 2 wheels off the outside sending me spinning.

Wow that was downright painful and it sucked too! Most difficult seasonal for me so far. Just could NOT get the car to do anything right, plus the track is a b!tch as well. after a marathon tuning session finally got gold with NO aids other then the normal ABS 1. The following tune makes the car really stable and predictable. I guess I could have added downforce parts to make it easier but prefer the pure look of the car as is. Did add +2 rims, not sure it helped.

'91 Acura NSX( Formula Red)

470 PP
330 HP
1.239 KG

8/10 brakes
90/95 ride height
8.0/10.0 springs
8/4 compress
8/6 extend
5/4 roll
1.8/0.4 camber
O.15/0.0 toe

137 mph tranny
20/30/10 LSD

122 KG ballast
-50 position (full weight reduction)

I know i'm a bit behind the times, have been busy with list, FITT and the VW seasonal lol.
Anyways Enjoy your drive.
Driving tip don't over push this car brake early or trail brake in, ease the gas and you will post a time in the high to mid teens with out problems.

first warm up lap after stage 3 weight reduction, 2:14.902, 57th in the world! got within top 100 other than opening day of the event, thanks very much:cheers:

some of the top guys replay is now more of a hindrance than help because blocks my view a nose ahead all the time, distraction made me redlap next 2 laps.

i like driving on this track so much puts grin on my face.:mischievous:

Congrats, if you want to keep the top gy for time and get ride of the ghost just chang it to line in quick options on pause or in the driving options on the main race start screen.

Nice lap! If you don't mind, what is your HP and weight? I'm only using stage one weight reduction.

Managed a low 2:24 with drifts in 2 corners and a couple of mistakes (no srf), more to come but man is that first chicane annoying, slightest under-steer and your too far onto the grass and disqualified #ragequit

setup update for NSX type R 02

good enough to do high 2:14.3s, 37th, full of mistakes so there is a lot left in this car.

aero kit with biggest rear wing that you like.

7.35/8.65
5/2
2/5
4/4
0.0/0.0

f7/r8 standard brakes

do tranny trick, set final 3.970, 1st&2nd tallest, 6th shortest, spread 3&4&5 evenly in between.

10/20/15, triple-plate clutch

power limiter at 88.7%

max downforce - 20, stage 3 weight reduction, carbon hood, lightened window.

short shift at 7k or earlier. with narrowed rpm range, it is now a super-close gear ratio. be ready to downshift as fast as you can on slow hairpins.

the car has neutral to just slight understeer so drive aggressively as you possibly can.

depends on how brave you can be at Hill corner makes or breaks your lap - if youre behind your own ghost at this point, nothing to lose, just go for it.👍

Managed to close a good lap with a 2.19.305, but with some time lost on Hill and KZ1...a mid 2.18 should be in my chance...later on.

of course its ON! i wouldnt be talking to you if i could do that kind of time without SRF.lol just joking!

Lol, I dunno its frustrating enough the rankings not having a filter on them but here too lol??! What's a good non srf time?

What's a good non srf time?

i really woudnt know to be honest, wish i could know Takeuchi's (top on this LB) non SRF time. hell he is my countryman maybe i should ask him in japanese eh?

my rough guess is, if you could do non-SRF 2:20s everyone respects you. if you could do 2:17s, youre a God.

@Motor City Hami I noticed some spring oscillation in turn 10 corner out. What would you suggest I adjust with this tune? 2:28.762.
@hornet_burnout your tune got me down to a 2:25.584 after only two laps(with an NSX Type R '02 not this car)! :gtpflag:

Note: If anyone knows how to improve this tune, I'm all ears. 2:28.762.

There's a general tendency to ruin the car balance by adding weight and power, and balancing it to 50/50.

It's good to have 46% front when you brake (won't overload it) and 54% back when you power out (more grip, tune suspension and diff accordingly).

Also, to add power and weight to a car with already limited grip is wrong IMO.

I got to 2:25 on my 91 NSX, SRF off and no "balance" inducing ballast. Here:

Only odd thing I see in your setup is brakes...

I did an experiment with this seasonal. Seeing that the NSX is one of my favorite cars, I have all 16 of the stock versions including the Type S, Type S Zero, and Type R models.

This is more of a test drive comparing the different models more than anything else. Basically the test was to see how far up the PP ladder I had to go in order to achieve the gold prize.

All cars are run completely stock with no oil changes or additions. SRF off, bumper cam/cockpit cam (where applicable). ABS 1, MT, CS tires (per regulation), TCS and all other settings off.

When I started this, Ascari was basically new to me. Not sure of the total number of laps run prior to attempting this Seasonal, but they were mainly in career mode or some practice runs. It wasn't turning out to be one of my favorite tracks, but after running 60-70 laps during this Seasonal, it's become one of my favorites.

I gave myself 10 laps in each car to set my best time. Here are the best laps for each car:

  • NSX '90 / PP 439 / 2:42.516
  • NSX '93 / PP 439 / 2:40.694
  • NSX '95 / PP 439 / 2:38.865

At this point I forgot that the NSX '91 was actually listed under 'Acura' not Honda. It actually has lower PP than the first three, but I'll post my time anyway. Apparently I was learning the track as the '91 is slower in comparison, but my time was faster except for the NSX '95:

  • NSX '91 / PP 433 / 2:39.853

And back in order:

  • NSX '97 / PP 443 / 2:36.383
  • NSX '99 / PP 443 / 2:35.570

And the car that got me the gold:

  • NSX Type S '97 / PP 445 / 2:32.937

Not sure what any of this means, but I got the gold, 7th car up the list. Thought I would have to get to the Type R's before getting the gold.

Well, radical change of suspension setup, based mostly on what I read here thank you all, but keeping my personal touch on low weight, no ballast and very tigh differential, and I dropped 2s from previous time very quickly.

Now into 2:21 (SRF off) and still some fine tuning to do, and some getting used to as well. Very different from my tight 91 NSX.

This seasonal just keeps on giving :D

Nice tune, thanks for posting. Was able to get down to 2:14.795 with it. I guess you are right about running it with less weight and power. Works well.

I clocked in at 350th position after a really dodgy lap. I'm sorting out a setup tonight and aiming for top 100.

Thanks for the setup. Finally god my first clean lap in it with a 2:11.668 for 4th place. Still about 6 tenths left to find out there but I don't feel all that motivated to go for it right now.

managed a 2:25.??? with the 06 Acura, I can't remember the exact upgrades I used I think ECU and window upgrade and I think one other engine upgrade that brought me to 1 point under the limit. I used the hard suspension setting racing brakes 4/2, all other upgrades that don't add PP. I know I did the oil change. I bought the LSD did no changes and tore it up (for my standards) at the time I got my online down to 3100's which is insane as i'm usually in the 100k+range. Oh and I use DS3. It was one of the most fun super laps so far. If only there were more NSX's with a cockpit view(finished cockpit view) especially the type S and Rs and concepts. Oh and TCS 1 ABS 1

Am I missing something here? When I do this tune I end at the same power and weight numbers but at 490PP?
