I say count SSR5, that had a lot of racers, Laguna we do again so we don't need it technically. And Indy was shortened.

I'll try to get this more "neated" up. I wouldn't mind adding SSR5, I have the replay. But I think Laguna Seca should be done again, although I wasn't there, so that one is up to you guys really.

I'm sorry does that say Dodge in #1 GT Manufacturer spot :sly:

Ok. But does anyone have the replay/results?

np.

That's what it says.

I do have the replay for SSR5 saved, so I can supply the info for the race.

SSR5 was pre-season if I am not mistaken. Daytona was the season opener from what I understood.

Keep up with the last couple pages and you see weve been talking about that. But in seasons past we gave points for a preseason race as well for showing interest in the series. 👍

After running out of fuel in the final corner, on the last lap, and losing to ghs there, I must hand it to him; he's doing great here. 💡 He's becoming an alien. :) I'm still happy to help you, ghs, but, good job with the championship lead. If you need championship advice, I'm a contact of yours. :)

That's fine with me. Whatever you guys decide. I'll take 3rd for a preseason interest race.

Off topic, but I'm having a spot race with Group C cars and I invite any of you guys to try your hand with those machines. Link is HERE. With a few practice laps yesterday around Monaco, I was in the 28's consistently. I'm sure it will go lower though.

Could I join the LMP class any chance?

I don't see why not. Just give us the required information:

GTP Name:
PSN ID:
Class:
Vehicle:

Then just wait for either Tower Turn 13 or Gogatrs to say something as they are the stewards here. I've never seen them turn anyone down.

Are we including SSR5 in the points? If so, where would it fit in the schedule? Just have it as round 1 and append the rest back one?

WEC 6 hours of silverstone just started tv.audi.com is not working but live.fiawec.com is. But its very laggy the toyota looks strong. Audi, Audi, Toyota as of now.

Edit- Toyota just took the lead over audi?
#2 Edit- tv.audi.com is working now!!

Only weird thing is that preseason people didn't have the right cars or class yet, so points is a strange thing. You can't give my SSR5 points to the Dodge championship, for instance. Or can you? I don't know how we would handle that...

I don't think any of it should count, honestly. I'd like gatrs to weigh in. It just doesn't make sense to count it when we were in different cars testing specs. Apply someone's Proto points to their GT battle? Sounds stupid when you think about it. If we were going to count preseason races, we should have not even had a preseason, and made people stick to their car from the beginning.

We could count Spa and Motegi but I don't plan on buying either, not sure about anyone else. The cost is why they're currently no-points races. But whatever, it isn't a big deal if people want to include them in the championship.

Silverstone was fun, missed the first three/four hours because I miscalculated the start time and slept in. Toyota looking pretty strong for the underdog.

Figured that would fire someone up. If you count preseason races consider last weeks race my last. I've never heard of counting preseason race before. How about we carry over last season points over too. That would be like week 4 of the NFL season and they were going to count preseason games... What???

Yea I don't like that idea of counting points for preseason races either. I only made the last preseason race, so that would put me at even more of a disadvantage.

T_GUY, You've raced here for how many seasons now? We've counted preseason races before, maybe you just don't remember. We also did 3 of them before Daytona. We did Indy, Laguna Seca and SSR5. That's plenty of time for people to get used to the car they wanted to use. I don't care if we don't give points for them or not. I just asked because we did it before.

Let's see what gatrs thinks. It wouldn't ruin my day if we counted SSR5. I have really no say in this because this is my first full season.

K1L1A1U1S
LMP class
Peugeot 908 Team Peugeot Total

I still need a little time to get the money to buy the car

K1L1A1U1S I'll add you to the reserves when I get a chance.

Re: Pre-season, it isn't a big deal worth a huge debate. I just don't think it would be a balanced way of doing points, because like I said we weren't all even in the same CLASS let alone car that we are in the regular season, plus the rules allow you to change up until race 1. The only reason the rules let you change is the assumption that they aren't points races. Maybe we did do it before, but I still say it would screw up the standings. In the preseason, for example, I could notice there are no LMP drivers present because they were under the assumption it didn't matter to show up, and say I'm "testing" the 908. Then just get an easy pole win and a handful of points. Then switch to another car when season starts. Not saying anyone did that, just showing how imbalanced it makes things.

But I'm silent on the point from now until Gatrs chimes in.

Well, I don't think we should include pre-season based on the fact of what pre-season is - testing. Even though I would gain 20 extra points, I really do not think it should be included.
