She's apparently going after Obama & the former DNC chair as well. Usually, the Dems leave Obama alone since, to be honest, he really did end up being one of our more beloved leaders.
Ouch:ouch:. Obama has been kind of untouchable and above the fray so far. Not anymore.

That's better, no point quoting somebody who's unquotable, amiright?

It still seems that the over-riding takeaways are that party finances in an election are as murky as at any other time (the Republicans are still £31m in debt I think) and that Debbie Wasserman Schultz seems to have acted inappropriately in making agreements far too early with Clinton's campaign. Why wouldn't Clinton's campaign take that break if it was offered? There seems to be clear, wilful mismanagement at the DNC but the green lights for those actions appear to have come from the chair.

Where's the impeachment article on messing with the NFL? You do not mess with American Football!

Jerry Jones and Roger Goodell are too busy throwing temper tantrums to notice. Either that or their heads are so far up their backsides that they are oblivious to the world around them.

Terry Crews says he was groped by a Hollywood exec and had been uncomfortable coming forward about it for many reasons, especially his concerns about his career. What I find interesting about this was that when I saw the headlines they said something about Terry Crews's alleged sexual assault and all I could think of was that the great Terry Crews had been accused of assaulting someone. Talk about jumping to conclusions. It never crossed my mind that he'd be the victim in the story.

I think the sexual assault on Crews is emblematic of the abuse epidemic in Hollywood. If that can happen to an ex-American football player with no repercussions (physical or legal), a wannabe starlet doesn't have a hope.

Do they have anything concrete to go on or are they just really desperate to get him out of office?

Five examples of violations of the Constitution. The "travel ban" thing is kind of weak, but obstruction of justice and censoring the press are very much a real thing.

Even if Trump does get impeached, I don't think they have enough to remove him from office. Clinton lied under oath and still served out his terms.

It's too little too early. They should wait until after the Russia investigations are complete(ish) and see what they have then. I think Trump will waft through this with no difficulty.

And if they fire off their guns too early they'll have a much harder time pushing the same motion through in a few months unless there is something Watergatesque in play.

I'm not sure it would be a good idea to impeach Trump - at least, not if there's isn't some very clear & incontrovertible evidence of wrong doing. Trump needs to be soundly defeated by democratic means, not by political finagling. I would hope that a large majority of the American people would come out to vote to repudiate Trumpism in the Mid-terms & then in the next Presidential elections. Even if that happens, I worry that Trump would rather burn the whole thing down than admit defeat - that's the kind of egotistic narcissist he is.

Whether or not he's removed depends on how desperately the Democrats want Mike Pence as President.

Straw poll out of curiosity:

Do you believe Donald Trump is, or was, involved in active collusion with Russia?

I'm not asking about his team or things that did happen that he didn't know about. Let's cut to the chase.

I think it's impossible that he didn't know but I also think that anything he did/knew was always plausibly deniable/transferrable.

I don't think he's smart or cunning enough to get involved in dodgy stuff behind the scenes like most politicians.

I don't think he was personally involved, but I do think he had knowledge of it and I do think he's trying to cover it up albeit poorly.

It's super hard to tell what constitutes "collusion", so I'm struggling to answer that question. What I will say is, despite @TenEightyOne's confidence, I'm more in line with @Joey D's post thinking that if he had his hands in something, he probably bungled his way through it so badly that it can be pinned on him.

Whether or not he's removed depends on how desperately the Democrats want Mike Pence as President. how many Republicans decide they can no longer stomach Trump leading their party.

FTFY. Democrats don't have anywhere near the numbers needed to do this.

That and we don't want President Pence (who would be harder to beat in 2020 than Trump), never-trumpers would absolutely embrace Pence so you would lose that unholy alliance between them and the dems. I can't stand Pence, he is the epitome of the two-faced politician with a fake photo-op smile. I personally think he is far worse than Trump is, even with the all the dumb tweets and character flaws taken into consideration. Pence is also far more to the right than Trump is. Trump has switched political parties a total of 7 times in his life. Trump also has a far greater potential to reach across the aisle and work with Democrats than Pence. Maxine Waters and Al Green need to get over themselves, it's time to move on.

Collusion is not a legal term. In fact it's nebulous and open to interpretation. Please ask again in a more definitive way.

Interpret it how you like; that's why it's a straw poll and has a qualitative answer rather than a quantitive, closed Yes/No answer.

Yesterday evening I found it hard to look past this:

I agree. It comes across that he pulled whatever strings he did for egocentric reasons rather than altruistic reasons. I also believe that the families did thank the President for his help in their initial statements.

Growing up, I never thought I would see the arguably most influential office in the world broadcast its tantrums almost hourly.

Adam Schiff is misconstruing what happened a bit, even though Donald's choice of words per usual, was awful. Lavar's response however, wasn't much better that triggered Trump's response in the first place. Ball seems to have the idea he would have gotten his son out on his own effort.
Lavar Ball
Who? What was he over there [on the Asian trip] for? Don’t tell me nothing. Everybody wants to make it seem like he helped me out. Did he go visit them in jail? Did you go visit them in jail? If you went to visit them in jail then I would say, ‘thank you’"

Of course, there's no positive spin on this in anyway. When the story first broke, people were saying Trump won't do nothing because he's racist. After reports said he would meet with the Chinese President and the boys later released, there were folks saying he shouldn't have helped them at all because they were privileged kids that stole. This story just brought out the worst before & after.

Steve Kerr had the best response to this whole situation.
...people seeking attention and they’re both getting it. I’m sure both guys are really happy. You know what would help? If all of you just stopped covering both of them. Is that possible? You could probably stop covering LaVar. I don’t think you could stop covering the president [laughing]. I don’t think that’ll work. … It might be nice for all of us if both of them would just be quiet. Wouldn’t that be great?”

This news probably warrants its own unique thread, but I'd like to say, here and now, good riddance to the pestilent cur--the stain on humanity--that is (was) Charles Milles Manson. May he never rest.

Absolutely.
