Ann. Cars Round 3 on Spa - gold without r18 ?

• Got the Gold at last. Damn this one one hard challenge, I tried all the tunes posted here and was really struggling to get a clean lap, the Viper was just horrible, mostly wouldn't turn or just understeered even off throttle, nasty and unstable on the brakes, pushed on acceleration or just wouldn't go round corners. You have to learn which corners you can cut and by how much. My tune in the end that got me the gold with a 2.14:359 was a hole mish mash of the tunes available but the tune that at least gave me some stability and turning mostly comes from Clueless Over the Hill Outlaws and posted by krenkme. It's for a lower powered heavier car but it worked even with everything maxed out and Power Limited to the PP allowed.

I very nearly gave up trying to get the Gold, this was a horrible challenge, made worse by PD basically making it all to easy with the Audi R18 and very difficult with anything else if you don't have the Audi R18.

And for the record I've been playing Gran Turismo since it first came out and it's the main reason I've owned a Playstation at all.

Anyway this Seasonal is done and it's back to bashing my way through the rest of GT6.

I tried the tunes here and a couple did get my time down a bit. I'll try TonyB66's tune and give it a go one more time.

I know it's only one event, but it's a psychological thing. When you go for Gold in every event except one, I wouldn't be satisfied. I'd feel like I could do better, that I didn't finish the game to 100% completion, it's no longer a 'perfect' game. But maybe that's just me. It never occurred to me someone would make a game so hard depending on a DLC that's not easily available.

You can't all you can do is race against a friends eel (blue line) but you need someone to gold it ONLY in the viper,I had set this up gold with 610pp in the viper but have since used another car so all is lost.Only other thing I can suggest is get a friend who can gold it in the viper and have a little track day session of follow the leader it's good for finding time.

I saved my best lap so but how do I make it available to Sig? I don't suppose putting it on YouTube is going to help. Anyone help me out here?

This is torture... After 76 laps I can't beat 2:15.6xx. This is why I don't have an avatar in the forum yet, I'm spending all available time to shave off half a second! I forgot to apply TonyB66's tune, though, so I'll give it a go before the event ends in 2 hours.

Shoot, it was the tune the whole time! I came home with half an hour to try again. I change the tune and press enter event, the console freezes... After a restart and 20 min file scan (you gotta do this every time??) I try again. This time I make it. From my first try I get 2:14.7xx but it didn't count because I went onto the grass a little.

Next lap I think I'm doing even better and about 25 seconds from finish the race quits.. Time is up. I didn't even get a chance to finish the lap.

Grr, I hate this game. :'(
