They won't. It is a rumor. Go back to your normal duties as free citizens. Trust me on this. :sly: I am spreader of the truth about Anonymous, all the rumors are fake. I've talked to a bunch of Anon on the subject, they all said no. Trust me, they are sick of hearing this. BUT don't underestimate them.

And I can't imagine Facebook's any harder. The PSN holds credit card and account info. Facebook has your email, and that's it (Because you may lie about anything else you put out). In fact, four Facebook friends of mine have had to delete their account due to people hacking them.

Facebook might have some peoples Credit card info. You can buy Facebook credits which allow you to get money on Facebook games...

I've talked with some Anon they said it is all FAKE! Don't trust anyone on YouTube unless it was the Scientology message, that was true. Try the AnonOps and see if they will do it, THEY WON'T.

I see, you've got the insider scoop then huh? Well, if you're right (I'm skeptical), I'd bet the penalty for posting a fake anon message on youtube is pretty high considering that those guys will probably find his IP and mess him up.

And their answer is...

TO PRESS: MEDIAS OF THE WORLD... STOP LYING! #OpFacebook is just ANOTHER FAKE! WE DONT "KILL" THE MESSENGER. THAT'S NOT OUR STYLE #Anonymous

#OpFacebook is being organised by some Anons. This does not necessarily mean that all of #Anonymous agrees with it.

I told a lady at work about this and she freaked out on me like i as the one going to do this.

I didn't realize how bad some people are addicted to facebook. That's just not good for your health.

I've went to the Anonymous chatroom (won't give the link because it is private) and they have blocked the word Facebook for they have been tired of saying "no" all the time. Trust me, people make fake Anon messages all the time, they're used to it. No one represents Anonymous, for they have no leader. Just trying to stop the stupid accusations. Although, some rouge Anons might do it, I'm not so sure.

I'm not a so called "facebook" addict and I've never met someone who was. I do frequently use it, as one of my better friends serves in the military and is stationed Germany. The only real practice way for him and I to communicate is messaging each other on facebook. I've known him since first grade, if I were to lose that it would suck pretty hardcore. Just for that and that alone I hope Anon falls on their ass if they do do this. I have a friend on facebook who is part of the Anon movement and all he does is spew of messeges and ****.

It's the exact same as any other anon-op. Some people want to do it, others don't. At the end of the day you can never blame something on anonymous, the fact it's now recognised means I can put out a video claiming to be from anon and have instant media recognition, threads on forums, people talking. All because I used the Anon handle, you have to say it's a no brainer that if you plan to do anything like this you might as well claim to be representing anonymous.

I think White-hat hackers are running low on job opportunities. Make a threat, FB boosts it's numbers, employment and bonuses all round.

That's stretching it a bit, plus there are plenty of IT jobs going at the moment. Looking on fish4jobs earlier and about 40% were IT related. Plus some called "penetration tester" which to my relief turned out to be testing companies IT security.

It was a stretched hypothesis, I just couldn't see any reason why you'd give 3 months notice to attack a non-essential, non-governmental website.

Guantanamo Bay is used to imprison foreign combatants. Since shutting down Facebook would not be considered a terrorist attack, anyone arrested for it could not be transferred to Gitmo.

But continually hacking into many site's and possibly stealing millions of credit card info SHOULD be a terrorist attack.
Cyber terrorist attack.

Because most people in the world are really addict in that site.
Like playing Farmville,Pet Society etc... :grumpy:

You are right man.

My little cousin is always glued to her phone, when i ask her why she is on the phone so much(jokingly of course)she says "I'm on facebook".

I'd rather be addicted to facebook, than prescrip meds

But thats a different story.

Also, is Anon suppose to be mad because FB shares info?
In which people put in that info when they make their profiles?
Is there any proof of the info sharing to begin with?

Hm....

As long as He/she/they dont target GTP; if they do,...:mischievous:

OT: It'll likely be extremely hard to do something like that. They're just better off cutting the power to the servers, if they want some down-time:boggled:

I hope they shut it down, the longer the better. Might get some output from the apprentices at work that way.

Cheers Shaun.
