Darin's statement certainly seemed unequivocal, as if he was in possession of facts we are not. The fact they are fully intending to use it to test the biggest console driving/racing release of the year (and a PS3 exclusive at that) was telling as it will be an eagerly awaited review, at least it was telling to me. Also for Thomas it would be of great marketing value to have this blockbuster title reviewed on one of his products not a Logitech which traditionally has benefited from a Polyphony love in.

LOL, can you tell I've got GT5 fever?! Eversince my dumba$$ sold the Playseat Evo/G27 combo, I've been regretting selling the G27 b/c I got it at a great price although I don't regret selling the Evo (didn't like the vertical bracket between my legs). Call me a racing sim snob but eversince I've experienced a racing wheel & sim seat combo, I refuse to go back to a regular controller!

I just crashed in GT5 and it broke my PWTS! I hit a wall while in a turn and my wheel locked up. I turned it off and now its rotates all the way to the left and stops, Now its showing 8.8.8. on the display.
What the hell do I do now?

Well, got me wheel back to normal, crisis sort of diverted.
It hurt my sole. Freaked out for a bit.WOW! That sounds like a real sim to me. Did you self got any injures?

Back to a problem I have that I hope you guys can help me with. I have the PTWS, with standard pedals. The pedals are probably the weakest part of the bundle. I have a problem with my gas pedal. When I turn it on its fine, I get full throttle. But after a race or two it starts to flicker at the top, and I'm not getting full power. That little sliver believe it or not slows your car down a whole bunch. Now, turning on/off the wheel fixes it, but like I said, it will return in a race or 2. I think the more often I push down on the pedal, the more it gets out of alignment.
Is there anyway to fix this? I've had the wheel/pedals for about a year now, so I think warranty is out of the question. Any ideads?

OK. So my wheel locked up when I hit a wall (hard). Didnt recenter when I paused the game so I turned it off. When it came back on it turn half right then all left till lock. Felt like the FFB was on, so I keep turning it lock to lock. Then the FFB stopped, the 888 went away returned with the normal ---. I re-centered the wheel, turned off/on. Calibrated it self correctly, all was fine.
Now if I could just get my throttle to work right and I'll be back to normal.

Ok, I don't know if I'm doing something wrong, but this is the second time this has happened with my wheel. I turn it on and instead for doing the full calibration, when it goes to the full right lock, it only returns 90 degrees instead of the 450 like it should. When it does this, I can't get it into PS3 mode. I somehow managed to get it to restart itself last week by luck it seems. I tried to recreate what made it restart itself but it didn't happen this time.
GT Legends demo, leave the track and it goes full left lock. Then I try to recalibrate it manually and then it restarted itself last time. This time it didn't.
I think it might be the firmware causing a problem, and I've downloaded the newest firmware but I don't know how to get the PWC into bootloader mode and the firmware only gives instructions on how to do it for the PWTS.
Edit: Figured it out.

Any Canadians get an update on their order? Still nothing for me. The shipping company says the can't do anything but I called USPS and they said it WILL be scanned when it leaves the United States. They also said they can run a trace however I need the shipping receipt. Unfortunately I'm stuck between USPS that can search for it and the shipper that claims "they can't do anything".
Im not in canada, but gotta love usps huh. I once shipped a WRX/STI hoodscoop to someone in missouri. Well somehow it got lost, and i could not get a straight answer from them. Hopefully that is not the case here.
I have still not received a reply from Fanatec about my broken Clubsport pedals. I gave them all the information they asked for and followed all the instructions and still nothing for weeks here. I would at least like a response, acknowledging you received all the info.

I am planning on purchasing the 911 Carrera Wheel with the Aluminum Clubsport Shifter Paddles (just waiting on the money to clear into Paypal), but just noticed today that the website says that the paddles are currently unavailable but will be shipped out at the end of November.
Does this mean that I will receive both the wheel and the paddles in 1 package if I place my order tomorrow or Wednesday?

Same situation here comrade! it still says they received notification but no evidence of any pick up, movement, and no response from Fanatec too, I emailed every authority at Fanatec to no avail.
All my four shipments are either at the warehouse or somewhere in between, I have never had any lost items that was insured and traceable. only first class mail is lousy and stagnant but PMI is faster and secure.
Juat reading here and starting ot worry seeing all your guys problems with fanatec lately. I ordered a wheel 9 days ago (i know the rush is on since gt5 came out im sure), and have yet to receive any sort of email or correspondence from them. no hey we got your order, hey its processing, or shipping confirmation number.On their website it states it was delivered. is this normal. should i be worried. I bought this over a g27 since everyone says the customer service is the bomb. now im starting to wonder if i made a mistake. Any advice form people who have recently gotten wheels would be great.

I think it's quite ridiculous that the order is accepted and paid for. And yet when pressed for shipping information, none is given. There seems to be some confusion between the warehouse and europe, and this co-ordination really needs to be improved...

I agree that the shipping information is confusing. We are still sorting out what is going on in the USA and what USPS is doing. Our warehouse seemed to have shipped the goods and USPS claims that it has been lost but this is also not confirmed yet.

Can someone tell me if it is possible to use the g25 pedals with the GT3 RS V2 on gt5? Is it worth the money? I´m using the Turbo at the moment and am a little unsatisfied with the FF and the wobble. But I have a g25 and all the fanatec shifters so it would be not so much investment.

I can't speak for the Turbo (I have a Turbo S, and have used every other Fanatec wheel, besides the Turbo), but the FFB is leaps and bounds over the G25 (even the G27).
You can use the G25 pedals with any Fanatec wheel, as long as you buy the G25/Xbox 360 adapter in the Fanatec webshop.

Fanatec...it would be nice if you sent all those affected an email explaining whats happening with a time line to correct the problem.
My package says: Your item left the United States from ISC LOS ANGELES CA (USPS) at 6:28 pm on November 25, 2010.
How on earth does it take 5 days to get from California to Vancouver? I could drive there in 10-12 hrs. Obviously theres a problem.
I ordered 12 days ago and it appears that nothing has shipped. I don't know how USPS can lose several 60lb packages, but if they are lost when will you be sending our replacements???

You may need to contact someone at the shipping company. After many back a forth emails with them, with one representative saying she can't do anything about it, I spoke with another one that said the packages may have been lost. What they've done is that they've shipped it to me via UPS Expedited and according to the receipt it should be here in Calgary tomorrow. They also told UPS to bill them for any additional costs the package may be charged.
I think this is a bigger issue than we think and Thomas did say in a previous post that everyone will be taken care of. All I can suggest is be a bit more patient and let his sales team sort out the issue (which I'm pretty sure they are very aware of).
My order was placed 16 days ago and Usually I use Canada Post to track it as it is a unified tracking #, Canada Post tracking is more detailed after crossing the borders.
Again I insist that Fanatec should be courteous and refund us the shipping charges as a minimum. I will be paying my credit card monthly installments with 20% interest rate even before I got my hands on the glorious wheel!
