I placed and paid for an order on December 10 for an in stock item (Carrera wheel). Today I got an email with a UPS Ground tracking number for an item that hasnt even been picked up yet.

Since I'm on the East coast this means that my item will arrive AFTER Christmas. So much for the special Christmas gift for my son.

What a joke for company TEN days to ship an in-stock item.

Fanatec may be great but their Mickey Mouse people in CA (if their fault) is doing a great job of damaging Fanatec brand name.

Yeah Fanatec has the worst customer service / relations I ever dealt with in my life. Just hope the wheel won't come damaged, then it'll take you another month before your son can play with it.

We need to track him down and pick his brain. That, or get him in touch with Thomas at Fanatec. This looks so robust it could serve as the template for the ClubSport Shifter.

Exactly! Just make it the ClubSport design (touch it u a little though). Anyone have a YouTube account?

You guys need to check out his YouTube page. He also shows an entire driving rig featuring a PWTS, his custom H-gate mod, "ClubSport" handbrake, and Forza 3 triple screen setup.

I think you'll get it in time.

Damn, that shifter, while awesome, is a little ugly. That handbrake is sweeeet tho! Impressed!

Well I'm just staring at my set since I broke the PS/2 cable. Should get my replacement in the mail sometime in the new year.👎👎👎👎👎👎

Either find a specialty computer store and get a new one or make one by splicing two male ps/2 cables together. I wouldn't have the patience to wait if I had all my gear.

Could someone help me that has a GT2 or GT3 clubsport edition? I am in the process of building my DIY rig. I have a GT2 CS on order, but i want to finish it without having it in hand. I want to use my G25 with it in the meantime but want the rig optimized for the GT2. I have charted my S2000 to build my rig off of its locations. If someone could tell me the following dimensions.

1) The angle of the wheel relative to the base, or confirm if the same as a G25

2) The horizontal distance of the center of the hub face on the wheel to the edge of the clamp.

3) The outer diameter of the wheel

4) The height of the top of the shifter to its base

5) The horizontal distance of the center of the shifter to the edge of the clamp.

6) The LxW of the base of the CS pedal frame

7) The spacing of the vertical centerline of each of the pedals from the left most edge of the base.

8) The height of the horizontal center of each pedal from the floor.

9) The vertical angle of the pedals from horizontal

Thanks

Welcome Spartan in GTPlanet! I'll send you, in the afternoon, the info you are looking for (I sent you a PM). See my cockpit to have some ideas, there is a link in my signature.

can anyone tell me which paddle shifter come included with GT3 RS V2? is it the CLUBSPORT aluminum or just the small paddles pictured on the fanatec website?

thanks^^^...the pics and included accessories on fanatec website need to be updated. trying to decide between the gt3 and the gt2. might be nice to have the 360 compatibility built in just in case.

Man, my GT2 is on the UPS truck "out for delivery" now. Can't wait to get my hands on it tonight and try it out! Lol.

^^^im waiting for some reviews. cant wait to see them start rolling in as it looks like the first batches are being delivered. i have another question. i saw on the comparison chart that the PWT+S and now the GT2 are the only wheels compatible with the wireless dongle. is that right? also, are their issues with the wireless on PS3? any lag or anything that takes away from gaming or is it as reliable as a dualshock connection.im assuming the bluetooth is in the dongle and the wheel has rf built in which is sometimes suspect. i know its only one less cable but im thinking it would make it way more convenient as ill have to slide my rig to its playing position. im looking to get this order in and i want to do this right.

I'll be happy to post my thought on the GT2 once I get some laps in with it. I have not ordered the Wireless Dongle yet. I figured I would try it with the wired connection first(at least with PS3). I am interested to hear feedback from people that do connect with the Dongle with the same questions. My experience with aftermarket PS3 controllers has not been good and there has been noticable lag with the same type of connection so I've been reluctant to buy the Dongle without some feedback as well.

ok great...im surprised no reviews have been posted yet but i guess its best to get at least a few days or a week with it for a more in depth review. i just posted a Q in this thread:
https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=134528
it was the most info i found on an issue and it sounds pretty typical

I'd wager you can take reviews for the PWTS and GT3RS and they'll give you a very accurate idea of how the GT2 will perform. The electronics are virtually identical. I think the GT2 has the slightly nicer paddle shifter buttons that the GT3RS v2 uses.

The wireless performance of my PWTS has been great. I don't think the dongle is Bluetooth, but it's obviously RF. I also notice no wireless performance difference between RF via the dongle and RF via the proprietary Xbox link.

thats what i meant....rf in wheel AND dongle. mis-typed. . i guess its safe to assume it will be the best of both worls(pwts+gt3rs) but ya never know. it seams that with fanatec, you want to put in your order all together so you dont get hit with big ship charges on small items. but im sure it will be great. im thinking about getting the rennsport stand v2 and getting rid of my playseat. might be a pain to set up the playseat with gt2.....especially if i get the clubsport pedals. decisions decisions.
