I wonder if i went ahead and ordered the G2 wheel and CSP separately if they would both ship tomorrow or if the 1st G2 pre-order would be filled already? It does still say Dec.13th on the site though. I could live with just paddle shifters till later when the shifter is available or dare i say CSS. :)

ROTFLMAO,

Scotty

I wonder how many emails Shecki and Spyder have into Fanatec. lol. The over under is 3........ dozen.

2. One about the craziness that happened with the cart storing all these random orders, and one trying to see if I could change the order from it's current contents, to drop the shifter and just send the rest of the stuff (sent that not remembering that the stand was backordered to though). I'm not driving them crazy or anything bro, I'm just suprised to not get answers from either emails. It's not the end of the world ;)

Lol, not that many, and I've never asked about the Rennsport. I think people are taking the email the wrong way, I see it as a company being efficient and letting their customers know the situation. I've found fanatec to be prompt in answering questions/queries, just can't wait to get my orders now!

Its more likely Thomas you will see this here so....

Wanted to be among the first to wish all the folk @ Fanatec a good break and hopefully stress free Christmas holidays. Oh and dont forget their Christmas bonus!!!

Puzzled a little still though as "Support Agents", "New Website", "More Staff" whats happening for 2011?

I hope 2011 brings you good future orders but it does seem on several forums I have seen the "Service/Communication" is becoming more of an issue, you guys really seem to be under pressure from brisk business so hopefully look forward to reading sometime soon about improvements/updates @ Endor / Fanatec.

Got a pedal/wheel issue to sort myself but will wait till new year by then you bunch might be through the worst of the backlog and sober enough to sort me out. Hey what about trade-ins on faulty under warrenty PWTS for the new GT2, huh lol, just thought Id chance my arm asking.....

Still all the best and Merry Chrimbo...

Ordered a Carrera wheel last week and it still hasnt shipped, I have aqt least not received any email and their website only states "Paid". Anyone ordered a Carrera wheel lately and had it shipped? How soon was it shipped?

This is for a Xmas present and I still have to finish building the cockpit but I need the wheel to finish the cockpit!

Seriously, you guys that are expecting things to ship within a week/get replies to emails have obviously not looked at any of the last 140+ pages of this thread. I personally waited three months for my Turbo S, and some had to wait longer.

To their credit, I always got what I ordered and they made things right when they messed up.

Their stuff is awesome, but if you want answers to emails, fast shipping, order changes, then spare yourself the frustration and look elsewhere. Patience is a must with this company, but it will be rewarded in the end.

How's the reliability of the stuff, and the service after the sale? Still tough to get a hold of anyone if you need a part or whatever?

Interesting reply from Fanatec.

I was just about to purchase a GT2, but perhaps I won't now if that is the type of reply I may expect :indiff:

Well I just ordered one, I have a Turbo S Wheel but it's nice to have a back up of some type. Even though their customer experience is something that needs fine tuning, they do produce superb products.

Yeh, I hear ya man...it's a little concerning I guess. Really, the only reason I went with fanatec was for the use of the clubsports. Aside from those, I would have just bought the G27 for the better support from Logitech. You like to know that if you're dropping around $600 US on a wheel and some pedals, that getting in touch with someone isn't going to be an issue.

Yep, but in the end we all get what we have paid for 👍

i think you guys need to consider the language barrier here. YES, they obviously speak and understand english, but some things do not carry well. happens a lot when i have dealt with european customers in the past. them saying to "send no further emails" is proper english but they do not consider tone like we might. sounds rude when we say/read it but they might im sure they dont mean it that way.

Yes agreed, however "send no further emails" means exactly that. Which ever way you look at this statement, IMO customers should never be told that they are not allowed to send emails regardless of how it is worded.

I strongly suggest to avoid the standard pedals. I've had a Turbo S wheel for less than a month and think it's fantastic. However, the standard pedals are a completely different story. They stopped working properly already and have the unwanted brake input that seems to be so common. The situation is worse when the clutch is used and it seems that even using some epoxy on the potentiometers, as suggested by some people, is not a definite solution. Basically, these pedals look like a cheap plastic toy compared to the wheel.

Now, the other big problem is trying to get a reply from customer service. I've been waiting for more than a week and who knows how long it's going to take. So my recommendation is to go with the Clubsport pedals, which seem to be great and much better than the G25/G27 pedals, and hope that you never have a problem with any Fanatec product.

Thanks for the advice, I have a set of G27 pedals and was looking to get a cheap set for backup, I will hold out for a while now :)

My order shipped even though the shifters were backordered.

I got an email this morning (sent an last night) saying the shifters should ship by the end of the month.

Then I suggest they take off the "5 days" remark on their website for the PWC, especially now in December a lot of the orders are time sensitive! And if they have it in stock (which I presume they have) I dont get it why it should take one week to ship, especially a biz with maybe 10 SKU's. Foreign/Canada orders on the other hand is a different story, its a pain to process these orders with all forms etc.

In my own small business we ship 90% of orders (around 100/day) received before 4PM on the same day. Canada orders we ship within 7-10 days, and will be stopping accepting it next year. One Canada order takes us same time as maybe 30 US orders since we cant automize the entire process. Then on top of that we need to take it to the post office, which is very fun (read: time consuming) to do now in December... (Just a hint to our friends in Canada complaining loudly here, watch out Fanatec may get "fed up" and stop selling to Canada).

I highly doubt they will stop shipping to Canada. There aren't very many online shops that don't ship there.

Have any of you received your UPS email yet with your tracking numbers on the GT2? I received my email yesterday from Fanatec saying it shipped but no UPS email which also came the same day I got my Fanatec email on my previous Club Sport pedal order.

Have not received anything yet. Hope it was actually picked up by UPS and not just packaged for delivery.

Reliability has been fine with my wheel/pedals -- they make a quality product, you won't be disappointed. I didn't receive my shifter base in the original shipment, and after trading some emails they sent me a new one. It took some time, but they got it right.

Well, that's your small business. I'm not here to defend Fanatec's methods, I'm just telling you what to expect based on my own experience and what I've gathered from others on these boards.

Based on the two transactions I've had with them, you receive the "Your Order is Shipped!" or whatever, and then within a week you'll get a UPS email with the tracking info. Once the UPS email came through I had my stuff within three days.

I just got the actual email from UPS with my tracking number! My GT2 will be here on Monday!!!

Congrats :) I knew i shouldn't have procrastinated now i'll have to wait till January. :(

By the way did you ever get an actual e-mail from Fanatec telling you your order had shipped or did you just see that in your account at the fanatec site?

I got an email from Fanatec yesterday saying my order was shipping. Then, tonight I got an email from UPS with a tracking number and a delivery date of the 20th.

Thomas posted on his blog that there is a problem with the site and no confirmations were going out.

As for my order, will have it by Tuesday.

Same here, got an Email from Fanatec on Tuesday saying my order had shipped, got the email from UPS earlier(so, wednesday) saying its in transit. My wheel and pedals will be here on Tuesday.. YEAH BABY!

Their system is confusing to say the least. You order something and get a response that you can expect the product to reach you in 2-5 days :) only to find out later you likely won't actually get it for at least another month or longer. :( It would be nice if they had a system that was a little more accurate. Shouldn't a computerized system have a better idea if something is in stock or not?

Well it's matter of programing and web design. I think the pattern I see here with inaccurate shipping info and delayed responses seems to be almost entirely with Canadian customers. Honestly most of that has to do with the Canadian Govt. I have shipped alot of stuff to Canada over the years and there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to their policies. Some packages shoot right through in a week, and some are delayed in customs for quite a few weeks.

Maybe Fanatec needs to put a disclaimer on Canadian orders so when you order your not getting the same estimate US customers are getting.

My experience with Fanatec has been just awesome. I have asked many questions to Thomas and he has answered every one of them in a matter of hours. And Claudia just took care of a shipping address error I just caught yesterday. I emailed their main site and had a reply and resolution in 10 hours. You can't ask for anything more when dealing with a company in Europe and 7hrs ahead of US Central time.

The 2-5 day shipping info came from Fanatec themselves, an auto response.

I think the biggest problem here is that with GT5's release and Christmas around the corner Fanatec just wasn't quite prepared for this massive swamping of orders.
