Anyone else having problems connecting to the multiplayer?

View attachment 1116557
Over a month now and I haven’t had any luck with this

I can play the PS4 version with my main account without a single problem, the problem lies on the PS5 version, but I have no trouble connecting with my alternative account in either PS4 or PS5 versions

Has anyone had this problem?

This may be a stupid question but does having the PS4 version installed have a bearing on the performance of the PS5 version?

I have just bought ACC for PS5 and can also get AC. Which one would you recommend first for someone just used to FH5 and GT7?

Leaning towards ACC, as more modern, better graphics etc.

I dont have acc yet but it's mostly gt3 cars which from sims i tried are not has hard to get used to.

Ac has a good mix of road and race cars, old and modern, they can be more of a handful.

But definitely a must still, for me at least, and in console sims. Lots cool fun cars. And things to try. It's super cheap often too, even the complete ed. , which is worth it for sure, lot more cars.

AC is dated. Race cars are old. Track selection is good, but not graphically up to date. But, if you get it, get the Ultimate one.

I have installed the PS5 Version but I didn't find the liveries of the 24 hours of Spa 2021. I am searching for the Pole Position Mercedes of AKKA ASP and the Schnabl Porsche. Where can I find the new liveries or is there a big mistake?

If those liveries were just for the 24 Hours of Spa then I don't think they will be in there. Also if Schnabl just ran that one race they won't be in there either. Only the teams and liveries that ran the full 2021 season would be listed. The 2021 liveries are in with the 2020 season.

I'm at work and I'm going from memory so I might not have it exactly right.

Thank You for your Answer. This may could be the reason I didn't find the 24 hours of Spa 2021 liveries.
But I think I saw a picture posted by assetto of the WRT Audi #37 Art Car from Spa.
Hope they bring all the liveries from 2021 soon.

Is the fuel gauge broken in career? The tank stays full all race. Only seen it change once. Also whats the deal with tyres? Am i meant to see how worn they are from the hud? They change colour when i spin etc but then back to green. I never seem to lose grip ! So how do i know ? Are these known issues with game ?

ACC does have the 2021 Spa 24h liveries, but only for the PC version ATM. I believe they would’ve been added in Version 1.18, which the console versions aren’t at right now, so you’ll most likely need to wait until that patch comes to consoles. On the plus side, the AKKA ASP Mercedes-AMGs and the Schnabl Porsche are included with these Spa 24h liveries.

Thanks for your answer. This might be fantastic with the next console update. I will wait and give it a try. 🤗

Seems like it's tire temp you're seeing from what you are saying. Must be a different icon for wear im guessing.

Maybe you have fuel consumption and perhaps tire wear turned off?

I believe you should see wear on the hud. Also the center tire bar indicates tire pressure. If it’s in line with the outside bars then it’s ideal. If it’s below it’s too low, if it’s above it’s too high.

No toggle for fuel consumption on/ off, seems to career only issues, online is working

When in the single player menu, you can enable or disable tire and fuel consumption in the realism settings. Not sure if it carries over to the career mode though.

Edit, again:

So I just started a new career. After you finish the first test, you choose your difficulty (once confirmed, that’s it unless you start over) and set your drive assists and realism. You can then change your assists and realism settings any time from the career main page.

I wish it would allow you to choose to enable both tire wear and fuel consumption or either one of them independently. I would like to run fuel consumption but I don't have any interest in tire wear. I also don't know if you're not running tire wear and fuel burn that also means the AI isn't running them either, or if you have them turned on the AI does too.

That’s a good question. Not sure how that would work in races that have mandatory pit stops.

Yeah I guess I should have clarified, I only run 30 minute races. But you're right that would present a problem with longer races involving pit stops.

Yes, but as I say, I haven't played for a few weeks. All was fine after the next gen update, although the FFB felt a little stronger so turned it down a bit.
You haven't accidentally got it set to PC mode I take it?

No, switch is set to PS4. I've managed to sort it now, so can now switch between PS4 and PS5 modes. Game now recognises I have T300 connected.

so far, using settings similar to yours and FFB feels decent. As a point of reference, I still think original AC FFB has the upper hand [I still play AC a lot], but wouldn't complain. Good communication back from the wheel and can fell the kerbs and bumps well enough.

on a separate note I am a bit disappointed with the replays. it only seems to record a few minutes of footage, regardless of how many cars are out on track. With the extra RAM on the PS5, I would have thought longer replays could have been implemented. Also noticing quite a bit of stuttering / slow down in the replays at various points around tracks. Again, this doesn't appear to be affected by amount of cars out on track. Maybe just poorly optimised. In game is a different story. Runs really smooth and seems really well optimised.

Minds working fine, but I also don't need to hold the button in, it switches between the two modes depending on if I plug it into my PS4 Pro or PS5, the difference between Orange and Red isn't the clearest in some lighting.
Hi Scaff

Got mine working fine now. Agreed about the orange and red similarity. Not sure why they didn't choose yellow or some other colour.

Am I correct in saying you are also on PC as well as PS5?

If so, do you own ACC on both platforms?

If so I would be interested to hear your opinions on the differences [I am considering a PC myself if I can justify the cost].

I have it on both platforms, but my PS5 isn't next to my rig anymore.

If I get time I will look at moving it and doing a back to back

Xbox store uk ACC on sale 60% off = £13.99
Thanks for the tip. It was on sale here too. The price was low enough that I decided to grab the base game for my Series X even though I already own it on Steam/PC... Since it plays well enough with the controller to justify use in the living room when I'm not playing Forza :)

Comparing the two versions was quite interesting.
  • Menus and general functionality are almost identical (just missing the PC's VR/triple screen menu options, the rest looks the same)
  • Similarly, the same controller settings I tried on the PC version worked nicely on Xbox
  • The game mostly looks the same in 4k, with some key differences: I have been running the PC version at 4k@60fps using the Epic preset and DLSS quality mode enabled. The two look pretty much identical in terms of cockpit, AI cars and tarmac, but trackside objects are clearly worse on Xbox. I guess Xbox Series X runs at somewhat lesser settings for trackside detail, and especially stuff like grass was rather bare textures on Xbox versus proper 3d fields on PC. Shadows were a bit less impressive too, especially in replays
  • Frame rates during racing were nicely smooth on Xbox during races, even during my 25 car grid testing, it felt very close to locked 60fps. However replays were very stuttery on Xbox, pretty unwatchable
  • AI seemed every bit as good as on PC, not dumbed down. It was still fighting cleanly, giving me room but taking advantage when I was slow

All in all, the Xbox Series X version of ACC is completely functional and way nicer than FM7 for racing GT cars against interesting AI. It has just had performance optimisation done at the loss of more graphical fidelity trackside than I had hoped, and replays are rather messy - I'd have preferred if they just opted for locked 30fps smooth replays instead of this stutteriness.
