BMW M1 Procar updates:
*basic LODs/config added;
*Ama FMOD audio added;
*backfire flames edited and repositioned;
*driver suits, gloves and helmets added;
*some cockpit shaders adjusted;
*plain skins added in separate folder;
*Procar badge added.

Physics/power left untouched.
New car download to preserve the original doner.

I'm not aware of a windscreen wiper config for this car (but there are lots of versions of the M1), so it probably needs one adding.

The M1 Procar could be a great one to rework, indeed! Added to the list!
By the way, I love also the street version, but never find enough data to actually rework it..

Appreciate the work on the Procar, though this is the fourth version I have now, (first one from VK site, Bazza's, Delta7Fox and this one) all of which seem to have the same origin/dna . . .its getting abit confusing ha Maybe you guys could all work together to make the M1 Procar mod to end them all. This car at Spielberg Historic is one of my all time best combos.

If you have all of those you already have it..... it's the one you like the most.

For me i had kept 2 and now having used this new one, I think its a winner IMO.
So will keep the others but i think i'll be using this new one more.

Provided modders don't do stuff that over writes the other mods then its all cool, eventually i'll see i have used one more and bin the duplicates off.

4 versions is better than one crap version that has over written the rest!! IMO.

Working to make one great version wouldn't overwrite anything that's gone before. One great version is better than four flawed versions.

A preview of the Countach 25TH Anniversary that i'm working on the pop up headlight dummies are driving me mad if somebody could properly position them please PM me. The outer body is from A8 the steering wheel and that climate control system was taken from the TDU model. The pop up headlights look fine when they are off but when i turn them on they go bonkers.

I have a free (albeit of a much, much lower quality) version of Newcastle, from AK Racing, I’ll upload and link it here later today. That track is good, but it’s definitely not worth $20, as much as I love that circuit and it deserves one of a higher quality.
As promised, here is AKR's Newcastle 2019, also threw in the free version of The Bend Motorsport Park too, as it seems that not everyone has that track either. Made small changes to both (mainly just added geotags and changed the track preview image)

Enjoy!

If someone wants to redo the AI on Newbury 2006 v1.1 without any problem, you can even create a complete new archive, it's not me who would make a story out of it.

The fastlane is fine, but the pitlane and track limits left something to be desired, so here they are along with some of the other usual stuff :cheers:

@__EASY__ I didn't make a new track archive here, if U want to make a new one and include this, go right ahead 👍

Hey everybody, my idea worked - I have attached to this post a 'mod' for Magione, just drop its contents into the main Magione folder. It has 3 video screens and an update to the models.ini file. There is also a backup of the folder so you can revert after trying it out.

Gonna say it anyway though -> BACK UP YOUR FILES YO <- you've been warned.

For those who want to see how it looks without adding files to their game, I have, as usual done a video.

The screens hold 10 frames in a 2048 x 2048 image, going horizontally across leading to a screen res of like 205px x 120px at 10fps for 1 second of footage. for animated logos etc this can be changed to be 5fps and 2seconds of footage.

Adding the bump map texture to resemble 'pixels' makes it look a lot higher resolution.

It would be possible to produce longer clips at a higher quality, but it's probably not necessary.

FORMULA RENAULT 2.0 PHYSICS MOD FOR TATUUS FA01

Back at it again with another Tatuus physics mod. This time, better

This mod replicates the physics of the pre-2018 FR2.0 onto the Tatuus FA01. Includes a few skins by Shokeus ACT80's on RD.

Changes (All reflect real life car) :
- Renault F4R engine + sound (from Praga R1; sounds mean as hell)
- Power bumped up to 210 bhp
- Aero tweaked (has around 10% more downforce than the regular FA01)
- Has 7 instead of 6 gears
- Gearing unchangable; replicates the real life gearing as close as possible (3rd gear's a little short but it's fine)
- RPMs boosted to 7500
- Animations changed (uses paddle shift animations instead of stick)
- Weight adjusted (509kg empty)
- Fuel capacity increased (50L)

This uses the same engine as the stock Praga R1, since IRL they use the same exact engine. It laps about the same as the iRacing FR2.0, in my testing. I used the iRacing version to learn the gearing of the car. The iRacing car tops out at the end of the front straight at Imola, so does this one, etc, etc.

Heres's a ""hotlap"" around Magny-Cours

And here's the link. Installation and credits in the .txt document :)

As far as I’m aware, there are the 488 GT3, NSX GT3 and GT3 Evo, RC F GT3, 911 GT3 R 991.2, 720S GT3 and the recently-released R8 LMS Evo that have been converted from ACC and released.

Hmmm... how did I miss the Porsche? lol where could i find this baby? It appeared to be on TopRaces discord at some point but no longer

Just... :odd:
I'm afraid I'm really bad at that. Tried some cars in the past which did not work afterwards so I stopped messing with cars.

Took another shot at it trying to use the 917/30 physics on the GTSupreme (from @TonyBarracuda ). I could drive it. It's reasonable but it does not exactly look like I was expecting. :lol::lol:

Gday, mate!
I will add physics to my version and will upload it, but later on weekends probably! Only if physics author agree me to use it

Working to make one great version wouldn't overwrite anything that's gone before. One great version is better than four flawed versions.

If multiple versions of the same car confuse you then you might be better off ignoring mods altogether and moving to console because they're pretty much unavoidable on PC. Variety is the spice of life and choice is good - as @safi hellie said, just decide for yourself which is best, or keep several if they are sufficiently different and you like them all. It's not only wildly impractical and unrealistic to suggest that three or four strangers work together merging several versions together to produce the perfect car, it's also highly unlikely that they'll all agree on what constitutes 'best'.
For my part, the M1 is already a very good mod but was lacking LODs, driver suits and rain-friendly glass with a working wiper, so with @delpinsky's help that's what I did (along with a few other personal tweaks like shader adjustements, new sound and a new backfire). It was never meant to be a huge collaboration to produce the definitive M1 but the addition of LODs and a wiper should hopefully be enough for it to be considered an improvement over the base model, and if @AC Modder tweaks it further then it'll only get better.
But anyway, it was deliberately released as a standalone car that won't overwrite any other versions of the Procar so that you can try it and decide whether or not to keep it without the risk of it deleting an earlier version from your collection. That was designed to avoid confusion, not add to it.
Sorry you find it flawed, btw - but it was never claimed to be perfect. Why not offer some specific constructive criticism and this might be folded into a future update?

Any chance of a straightforward link please, like Mega, Mediafire or even the dreaded Sharemods? These hoop-jumping multi-mirror ad spam sites are a pain in the ass. I didn't even think anyone used them any more.

Edit: never mind, I see @GUERILLA Mods have put up an official link above.

Edit: @GUERILLA Mods your new upload is still tagged as v1.2.
Is it definitely v1.3? If so, the UI needs updating.

Today I downloaded all updates for the ACP 91 formula. They renamed McLaren mp4-6 to the earlier version, because of this I still have an old car. I was able to compare them. It's horrible! All cars of the 91 season became terrible. Settings in the download package do not help. They changed physics for the worse. Previously, these were my favorite cars of these years, now it is spoiled. It's a pity, because they have a very professional team, but something happened to them.
At last someone else has realised! I thought it was only me. They’re were my go-to cars in AC, after adding a little weight to their BOP, now they’re zero fun to drive! :guilty::confused:

my bad thanks for the reminder! XD haven't touched this car for years now XD

Strange... I've checked the TopRace Discord, and the 911 GT3 R seems to have been removed from their downloads section. I've also tracked down the car on another site, and found that the files have also been removed from Mega... Most unusual...
