@TonyBarracuda, I don't know if you are aware but there's something odd with your glass settings on the Subaru Legacy B4 GT300 #62 2009 (I've not tried the 2010 version yet). In the cockpit you can see the sky through the glass, but not the world. It looks like the car is floating in the sky until you poke your head through the glass and then the track magically appears. This is with the shader patch active in VR by the way - I tried deactivating the shader patch and it looks normal, but I think most people use the shader patch these days (well, a LOT of people do, anyway).
I don't know of any other mods that have this problem, so it must be a glass shader setting maybe? If you copy the Kunos settings on the inside AND outside of the glass then the windscreen won't reflect the road in cockpit view and rain drops will land on the glass too.
Car looks good from what I saw so I'm looking forward to driving it. I'm a big SGT fan.

Edit: just looked over my shoulder and the rear windows and back window seem fine - the track can be seen through those. It's the front windows and windscreen that have the problem.
Hi. Thanks. Didnot see this issue, not using Vr, i will fix it later when come back from vacation.
As you can see from video, it looked fine.
Thanks

I don't think it's necessarily a VR issue, I think it might be an incompatability issue with Ilja's shader patch.
Maybe a 2D driver here could test it?

I think the shaders might need tweaking too Tony. I always cycle through the cameras at some point to check external sounds and noticed that the car looks very washed out in direct sunlight. In shadow everything looks vivid but everything gets bleached or overexposed when the sun hits it - the livery colours fade and the rear light lenses turn a pale pink. Maybe the ksdiffuse values need reducing?

Oh i see.
Will try to fix it with ks editor later. Thank you for advice! Btw dont use some extra shaders. Regards!

Hello guys! I'm new here ^_^
I'd like my first post to be an occasion to share a mod "pack" that I fixed in order to make the cars even more "lore" friendly to the kunos car park.
It is a selection of cars from AssettoDrive. The fixes that has been made concern various aspects (Car descriptions, previews, livery icons, skins [fixed and added, both interiors and exteriors], upgraded tyres, physics [some cars went under a complete rebuild], balance of performance, corrections in the animations, reviewed car materials, car lighting effects and so on).
The Car List is the following:
_Aston Martin Vanquish V12 2012
_BMW X6M E71
_Ferrari 599 GTO
_Ferrari Enzo
_Ferrari F50
_Ford GT40 MKIV
_Gumpert Apollo S
_Jaguar XJ220
_McLaren F1
_Porsche 356A 1600 Coupè
_Porsche 901
_Porsche 930 Turbo
_Porsche Carrera GT
_Porsche 991.2 GT2 RS
_Saleen S7
_Saleen S7 Twin Turbo

Even without Ilja's shader, there is a trouble because from cockpit view, some part of the track disappears, notably rubber mark on tarmac for pukekohe park for example.
And also in hotlap mode, ghost car is not visible in front of you.

what do you mean with balance of performance? I would prefer the cars to be as realistic as possible and not some crazy Gran Turismo Sport BOP where the Veyron has 600hp lol

@Cote Dazur, are you able to do anything with the terrible shifting animation?
I've fixed the floating digital instruments, cockpit shaders, diffuse levels (to stop everything turning white in direct sun), flourescent seat belts, steering animation and a few other things so it's turning into not a bad car. The shifting animation is awful though. Able to help?
Edit: the passenger door mirror is knackered too - the reflection is just black.

Hi. I should have used a more correct term, now that you let me notice it xD.
My intent was to say that I corrected those cars that were too overpowered (for instance, the Saleen S7 TT was lapping the Redbull Ring faster than modern GT3 race cars). I also tried to give (to the cars that needed it) a more "road-ish" feel. Some of them were planted on the ground even with TC disabled. The McLaren F1 had a worse driving feel than a Ferrari F40 S3 from kunos. So I drove those kunos 80s and 90s cars to see what I could do to improve it (same goes for the f50).

In general, I drove similar kunos cars to get the idea of the feeling, and tried to replicate it.
I believe the cars are still not "top notch" (for instance, I think that the Enzo and the Carrara GT are still too performant. But it was taking me too much time to correct all these cars. Surely they are more enjoyable.

I made a mistake in explaining the example I made about the McLaren F1.
What I meant is that it was undriveable. But not that "undrivability" of the 90s monsters. It had absurd lock up sensibility. Way worse than braking capabilities of the Ferrari f40 s3 (that's the reason I quoted the ferrari). Same goes for handling capabilities

So i tried your cars. All of them have multible errors in CM and have Tyres V0!!!!!! also driver models are missing

I'll check that out. Cause I didn't try them after using cm to pack the data (I didn't think that could cause damage <- it's the only thing I can think of that could cause the problem). So I'm going to move mines to another folder and make a fresh install from the .rar

I changed the names of your cars so the orignial AD cars are not overwritten and I can compare them

All of your modded cars try to overwrite the corresponding existing cars in my collection, and there's no way I'm doing that without trying them first in case I prefer the originals. I'd want to compare them side-by-side first, and maybe even keep both versions. Can you not rename/reissue them so they don't try to overwrite the originals please? (you might need to check the sounds if renaming the car folder).

thats exactly what I wanted too. I renamed them myself but the dont work as a standalone rn. You have to dublicate the orginial, rename one and then copy his cars in.

It might be because they are just meant as an addon for the existing cars?
No. they are "standalone"
Untitled-1.png

I installed them from the .rar I uploaded and I don't get the error.

sure, I'll upload them with different folder names

There should be a rule where modded cars can only overwrite the originals IF the car being modded was created by that same modder. It's total chaos otherwise with different cars existing that have the same identity but completely different parameters.

A little help for real mirrors position correctors like me: in the in-game kunos menu strip, as well as in the BLM CAR real mirror's buttons, you can use both right and left mouse button at the same time, you know, like a fast "tiki tiki tiki tiki" with both fingers, to hit the buttons quicker. Insgnificant advice? maybe. Maybe not. :P

Good find! That'll be useful. Adjusting the driver's eves and mirrors is the first thing I do with a new car.

Hey, mates.
I've put together a PSD files containing color shade names for those who like to rename car colors to more creative names than "1" and "undefined". These chart may not apply to actual car calors, specially for the likes of brands with unique color codes, like Ferrari and Porsche. That said, it may come handy, specially for the non native english speakers like myself.
The chart was created by a book illustrator named Ingrid Sundberg. For quicker color picking, I saved all layers as invisible.
Photoshop is required. OF course, you can always visit the charts online at https://digitalsynopsis.com/design/color-thesaurus-correct-names-of-shades/

https://sharemods.com/epg0gimukuoj/Color_Shades_Chart.rar.html

Cheers!

Another heads up for people editing files. You're gonna love this.
Program is called "n2ncopy"
Small portable app, allows you to copy files to multiple folders, at once. Want to copy a skin.ini file to 35 skin folders? One click does it.

This is what it look like, and how it works:

Z1S8GQF

The green square is where you drop the files you want to copy.
The blue square is where you drop the folders.
"copy" button does the work.

Double clicking any square allows you configure some options, like overwriting, or cleaning both squares when the task is done.

No link for this one, just google it.
Cheers!

Oh i see.
Will try to fix it with ks editor later. Thank you for advice! Btw dont use some extra shaders. Regards!
Tony, it seems the issue with the windscreen was due to one of the GPU optimising functions in the new shader patch (the 'optimise draw order' tickbox, in case anyone was wondering). It looks fine once that is disabled so I don't think your windscreen needs revising, although it was weird that the rear window glass didn't display that problem...

I have not downloaded that one.
