Just throwing these out there for anyone to try. I got to fooling around with the original Monza fast_lane.ai file. I'm sure by now everyone has a custom ai file for Monza that they like so this is probably a waste of your time, but i'm putting them out there anyways.
The only difference between the two is how much they cut off the first turn at Prima Variante. For the second one, wider cars may clip the inside kerb.

These are the original ai line, but with new sidelines and one tweaked spot of the ai line. Reason I did it is for me the ai always seemed to wreck when side by side going through Curva di Lesmo and coming out of Variante Ascari. After looking at the line, I saw the sidelines ran really wide and over the kerbs in those two spots so I re-recorded them. I also tweaked the ai line going through Prima Variante as well. I'm having good results so far with the cars i've tested it against, but like anything ai related in this game, your mileage may vary.

If you do try them, make sure to rename your original fast_lane file first and if you have any sidel, sider or ai_hints files in the data folder, rename them as well. Or try it with your hints file and it might work. I just know I don't have one so it was tested without an ai_hints file.

The regular R14 is the 2008 car, and the R14+ is the 2009 car with different wing mounts, canards, etc. It's just two different years of the same car.
I asked because bhp , torque and weight were the same for both cars...
But indeed i overlooked the year :)

Went and looked up and the 2009 was 30kg lighter (1050 kg) then the 2008 (1,080 kg)

Tip for triple screen users:

Since quite a while I have this issue on my triple screen setup where camera facing spectators on the side screens gradually become thinner when driving by; as can be seen in this picture:

Once seen, it can't be unseen and nobody seemed to have a solution.

Now I discovered how to get rid of it:
CM > settings >custom shaders patch > track adjustments: untick New spectators rendering method:

Then the spectators are back to normal.

I'm planning on making a Gran Turismo movie championship, with an additional round at the Hungaroring to start (where the GT Academy in the movie took place). Then it goes in order from the Red Bull Ring, to Barcelona, to Dubai, then the final round is at the Nurburgring 24 Hours.

I'm trying my best to make the grid as accurate to the movie as possible, with liberties taken of course. So for Example the Lexus RC-Fs are replaced with two RC-F GT3s, then the Camaro is replaced with a 2011 Camaro GT3 that's also black/white/green. There's also a Vantage GT4 that is swapped with a Vantage GT3, and a road-based Corvette C8 swapped with the C8.R. So on and so on.

I also need to figure out the BOP and all that. Which I'm working on right now. It would probably be designed so that the CAPA Huracan and Schulin R8 LMS are at 100/100 while the rest of the AI are at 95-ish in strength. But maybe that's too easy for many players, I'm not sure.

Then of course, given it's a championship about the Gran Turismo movie, you'd be playing as Jann Mardenborough in the #23 Nissan GT-R.

The races will probably be 10-12 lap sprints at each circuit, with a two-lap timeframe for the final Nürburgring 24H round. The races the movie was portraying are technically endurance races, but with all the mods that would be a disaster, and the shorter sprint races fit the feel of the Gran Turismo games and film better imo. Race length of course can be pretty easily adjusted by anyone who installs the championship though.

Just wondering if there's any interest for me to release this?

I don't like to fault such a nice car, but the wipers (don't know if is my fault or a mod fault) look incomplete when viewed from inside the car.

I noticed that there was a problem with the orientation of the wiper surface. This is the part I overlooked.
I will try to fix it so that it is displayed correctly.

It's frustrating that I'm so busy with real-world work that I don't have a lot of time to make mods...

Idk the race at the Red Bull Ring was pretty convincing to me.

I didn’t see any Hungaroring in the Dubai race.

The Nurburgring was pretty spot on for the minute or two it was in the movie.

Then the Barcelona race was glossed over pretty quickly so we didn’t see much there.

But the only times that the Hungaroring were really egregious in the movie to me were when it was Silverstone and Le Mans. But those two aren’t in this championship lol.
 
I'm trying to take photos in game but when I press take photo the car moves for 2 seconds then makes the picture, anyone know what could cause this?
 
I'm away for a couple of days so can't check, but pretty sure smart shadows are deactivated because of the way shadows can clip through the floorpans of low cars.
@Peter Boese just to confirm, my smart shadows ARE deactivated.
Further testing seems to indicate that the lack of shadows at session start seems to happen when swapping between a lot of cars (while testing/deleting, for example). It hasn't happened in the past couple of days during 'normal' driving, so might be related in some weird way to the CM UI memory leak that happens when selecting lots of different cars.
Another question about the very useful Pure landscape generator.: any plans to try and add simple hill raising to provide more of a 3D effect? This would be really useful to surround tracks with hills or mountains and cut off views to horizon infinity.
Also, any further thoughts about the 'always summer months no matter what geotags are' option we previously discussed, to ensure consistent lighting and stop (for example) southern hemisphere races being in low winter light if June is set as a global date?

Understanding that you take photos of the replays, while you pause the video, that behavior that you describe possibly happens because you don't have disabled the shutter speed, and the Camera Mode tries to imitate how the photograph would be taken in real life, with the car in motion. If the camera's shutter speed is too slow, the car will appear blurry in the photo, giving a sensation of speed. If you want to freeze the action, you'll need to disable or set a higher shutter speed.

If you play with the camera settings or take photos while the car moves in slow motion, you can get very cool effects; it's a matter of trying...

It already start at the start of the track when you are in the cone barricade.. they already piling up. And it gets worse down the track.
No matter which Aggression setting I use.. 80% is recommended as minimum, but also at 80% it's constantly crashing and causing collisions.

It already start at the start of the track when you are in the cone barricade.. they already piling up. And it gets worse down the track.
No matter which Aggression setting I use.. 80% is recommended as minimum, but also at 80% it's constantly crashing and causing collisions.

In my experience, turning OFF some of the extra stuff helps on certain tracks, especially navigating tight corridors like hairpins or the pits, etc.


Try turning off: Steer More Carefully in Tight Corners and Use Simpler AI Spline.

Also, try troubleshooting by turning off the Advanced AI mode, if they run fine then it's def a setting on that page. Sometimes I have to disable basically all the AI Tweaks and Extras for them to behave on certain tracks.
 
If only I'd had a beer whenever I tell people to .... disable "New AI Behavior" at the Nords entirely. :)

The whole Extension? Because I do want to have the AI Flood enabled so I have constant traffic in front of me. :)
