Hi guys,

Sorry to disturb, but some of you may read on my discord channel, but here is the short post from me:
"I think about many times about the future, and some of you know my life changed, unfortunately not in the right direction. So maybe the Starion will be my last car. I don't know yet exactly, but the sellings are really down in the past few months, so if it's not changing in this and the next month I have to stop doing this, which I really like, but I still have no better idea unfortunately."

I never liked to ask anyone for help and I trusted that the time would never come. It is very likely that I am not alone with a similar problem, so all I would like to ask of you is, if you are able to help with any amount of support. I would like to continue, but based on the current situation, if everything stays like this, I will have to finish it.

Same here, I gave the TT the same tyres, and modified the Power.lut a bit. At donington and Hockenheim now the AI reached nearly the same times
Could you share the files .lut & .ini to test?
Or it's there another TT-R more balanced with those. If i remind well, I have installed 2 or 3 similar TT-R.

Anyway it's beta testing until @lorelord finish his work around the proper 2003 Astra.

The car is experimental yet. At the release I did a big miss on hp (wanted to put 1000hp of pure ICE poewr and ended with 2000hp)


And the data.acd with no ERS modes and something realistic behaviour:


(please change the name to data.acd)

It's only experimental and not the final version! Next version will include better physics and some tweaks for decal mesh in the 3d model.

Sorry guys, where can I increase the blinding effect of car headlights? In the CSP settings or in the PPfilter settings and how?

After several hours of work I completed the exterior of the Z3. I can confirm that she is the candidate to replace the Viper in case our one, inimitable and super sexy DaWallace wants to create his own. The interior is a mess, it will need a rework like the TVR, but I'm confident. :D

But now I will take a short break and then head back to the F430 and the TVR.
nice to see this car get some love, it needs it
 
I was just asking about this on one of our discords a while back. I needed the DW Speedway for a custom championship I was setting up. I still have not found one anywhere. If I ever get a good roll on my return from my track making hiatus, it might be one that I take a look at making. I dunno. But if you find a version, please let us know. I had to ommit it from my championship, booo.
Update I was able to figure out the software yesterday and get the track and it's objects all transfered successfully. Just needs fine running and pit and start spots filled. I also need to make the ai files. Lastly I need to ask John Norton for permission before posting it anywhere. Might post pictures later. Also does anyone know a good place to find trees?

Gave this one a spin and must say that - especially since this is a V0.1 release - this is a very good start!
I rather like it this far already. Is v0.2 already available, or is this for the altered data.acd making it v0.2?
I will keep this mod and look forward seeing further improvements up to v1.0 hopefully :-) Thanks Bensrac32!
 
Okay here's my adjusted 1986 Season with Kunos Lotus 98T car and amazing skins by Alystar. I have the RSS 1986 but Kunos default car plays better (imho) and I've managed to get my butt kicked every single time I've played this season through (like 5 times). I absolutely love this season.

I'm too young to remember this real season but I've watched it through many times. It has the legendary Adelaide race where Mansell's tyre blew and Rosberg DNF's from dominant lead in his last race, Williams made a crazy tactical mistake and pitted Piquet and Prost the professor won the title.

Senna was fast of course but still quite reckless at Lotus and wasn't at his peak yet. Great, great era of F1. And of course the monster turbos in the BMW-powered Benetton and Brabham.

Kunos 98T is very challenging but rewarding to drive. Beware of downshifting in the corners.

What is different in this setting? Cars will have to pit during the 15-25 lap races. Also the pitstop crew is slower (tyre change takes about 12 seconds) which mimics the real 1986 season. AI rankings should give very realistic results and for whatever reason I always get some surprise winners too. For example Alboreto won one race in my previous 1986 season. But Prost, Senna, Mansell and Piquet are very hard to beat. Player is set to Rosberg who had 9 DNF's and his worst ever season at McLaren. But with these settings I find it very tough and it's cool to battle for the points and not win everything.

Tracks are mostly 1988 masterpieces with all newest ai improvements by Rainmaker and Endor Team. 1982 Montreal, 1988 Jacarepagua, 1988 Hungaroring have faster ai's. Shin fixed the Osterreichring 1979 which is now super enjoyable fast track and no more idiotic crashing. Brands Hatch has the early 90's skins as I haven't found the perfect fit for the 80's.

Use 100% turbo for the qualifying and static 80% lasts for most races. But adjust the turbo down at Hockenheim, Osterreichring and Spa accordingly. Otherwise your engine will blow. Or use a steady 70% boost. Redefine the turbo adjustment keys at CM.

As usual all downloads in the video description. Make a backup of your Lotus98T Kunos car. However there are no other adjustments than the fuel capacity and consumption (to force player and ai to pit). All skins are in the package. No need to make any ballast/restriction settings as everything has been defined in the champs files.

Can we get an updated link of "Creme Brulee Island"? It's in the Fictive section of Breathe's spreadsheet. All links are down and I can't find a replacement one via google search.

Next version will include P2P system (known as MOM, Manual Override Mode) with 200 tries (unlimited, i think, as we don't know how it's gonna work). The hybrid will stop at 330kmh as it was told. I'm doing 1:27 on Monza with mediums, no DRS limit (as the mode-x it's gonna be allowed in the whole track) and my limited skills. 350kmh at top speed with 0-0 wings. My friend is still revising the physics so it might be for tomorrow.

I finally had a chance to try the new 2023 mod and it's a really nice set of cars to get my Cup fix, except for one problem. Has anyone else found that the ai is really slow, even at 100%? From my testing, it seems like the ai slows down way too much going into and through the turns. Would anyone know of any kind of tweak to one of the files in the data.acd file that could speed up their turn entry and overall turn speed?
 
Gonna need someone to either figure out how to add body kits to the RSS 996 or for someone to make a decent 996 variant also. Since there are like 3-4 variants of it in GTR2 lol
Depends what you call decent. Also you need some body variants for the RSR, mainly rear wing and rims but you need separate mods for the RS and R due to the physics variance.

I feel that Assetto Corsa Evo could lean more into road-going cars/production cars than the original AC.
 
Current Progress on Walt Disney World Speedway Conversion. I have some rather extreme shadowing going on with all the walls right now which needs fixed. Also I cant attempt to write an AI line without breaking the track when I set the new line as the line. Currently it has 37 pits.

You can tell that the body is from GTR2, idk if there is an actual decent 3D model around, But surely someone has made an standard 996 road model that you could possibly just slap the stuff on. idk a thing about 3d modeling so lol

If you use Pure, in game "Pure config > light > CSP lights > csp_lights.bounce and csp_lights.emissive". In this way you will see the changes in real time. Hope it helps.

Hope you will continue with this one. For v0.1 already very likable (with altered data.acd).
Some further refinement on the carbody? Internally it seems white (at opening exhaust for instance)?
Maybe changing the cam view (F1) a bit so that the view has a bit more FOV? Bit more helmet vissible and frontal nosepart (blocked by the HALO) visible? I keep following your updates. Thanks!

Tbh taking the models from GTR2 and working on it (like I did with the TVR) would give life to mods that are not extremely refined but at least decent for 2024. The problem is that the reconstruction takes time, especially for the interiors since they are not all It's one with the outside like on AC. Basically you have the car + a low resolution interior for the external views and an internal cell with the realt interior and some bodywork elements for the internal views. This means you have to do some cutting and sewing, it takes time but it's not impossible. Working on existing mods, with the necessary permissions, would reduce the time but in theory you still need to make changes in order to be able to create the right car model. For example, you could ask to borrow a dashboard from a 350z so as not to have to restore it, but you have to hope that everything matches since the GTR2 models are precise but not too much.

However, it is better to list what is there and what is missing in order to have clearer ideas.

Obviously the graphic rework is not necessary in theory, physics always counts, but by taking care of that part too you can create something truly complete. What is certain is that LOD, Cockpit LR and HR and wheel blur are mandatory.
