I prefer race cars over road cars and quality over quantity so I only have 85 mod cars installed according to Content Manager. Most of my recommended mods. Quick search should find the sources easily.

This gives me an idea, what if we setup a donation fund for the GTP Modding Team for them to hire modellers and people to work on physics. It would mods to be able to be shared more and even posted on RD, and even modders like Gary Paterson would probably give respect as well if we used scratch made models or original physics.
Sounds complicated.

yes I have in fact and have used it to try and search out a lot of those cars. I totally forgot about it

Regarding the above list from Simracer604, I was just thinking to myself that it is totally biased as I'm pretty sure he is sent most of those cars that aren't official content obviously from the modders for exposure/advertising

That is a totally baseless assumption dressed as a fact...
You could easily argue a case that no youtube simmers are not biased based on your logic...they don't get called influencers for nothing...

Truth is do the good old fashioned thing of finding out yourself if you like something and not needing constant approval from youtubers / people on forums to make up your mind on what is good bad or whatever....
If you like something just like it stop worrying if some random group of internet people like it too and are on 'your side'.... God knows how many people own stuff they hate but felt they had to have because internet said it was good and visa versa....

A good example is that i have some RTM mods (free of course) which for me they drive OK look good and honestly make me smile a bit when blasting them around, the GT3 Mitsubishi springs to mind.... i know what people think of RTM but i dont care as i think it drives pretty good. Yes it is a mix of kunos physics but jesus i have CM and man apparent top class mods use kunos physics.... not to mention devs simply re skin stuff and pass it off as new......
Do i let the internet stop me blasting aroud RTM mods? no.... why should i...my game my time...

if a solution comes up, I will let everyone know in this thread. It cannot be that hard to figure for RSS, it is mostly their cars who are affected, not even all of them.
Cool.
But not only RSS.
A little 'black mirror' affected car list from the last days:

gue_bmw_m6_gt3_acc
acflpine_a110_gt4_bop (and non BOP version)
rtm_arta_garaiya_gt500
gtp_xbow_gt4
lancia_lc2_85
bmw_mini_f56_jcw
ag_reanult_meganetrophy16
rw_seat_600_hillclimb
tmm_octavia_cup_2018
ftruck_mercedeslseries

Btw: for the interested: the KART CROSS is now available at AssettoLand.

Thank you, I can now see trough my windscreen, as you can see from the picture, the windscreen of the AI, when aligned with the sky, still has pink. Not an issue for me, but I thought you might want to know.

It's not a baseless assumption, it's how the world works.

An influencer is an individual who has the power to affect purchase decisions of others because of his/her authority, knowledge, position or relationship with his/her audience.

So yeah it's up to the user to be aware that anyone creating a 'best of' list that contains content that they have received in advance and/or for free for them to review or showcase on whichever platform they use might not have a unbiased opinion about it.

Personally I don't have the time or interest to install random mods from places like FB or Assettoland that have little or no quality control. i would rather get a recommendation, read reviews or at least see some back and forth feedback first.

If you go to the VK Mods site, you can find most of the pay mods there, especially RSS ones, for free (For the "dfile" only ones, type in the actual link, don't click on it or copy and paste and it will work).

Edit: Why does the Alpine rework have a password? Does anyone know it, please?

Here's something coming soon that I for one am extremely excited about. I wont need anyone's review or recommendation before I will install and use it, that's for sure. :)

For the last couple of years I have been working on a Touring Car Legends mod. It started as a little side project but it turned out to a full mod pack containing 15 different cars. Some of them I've released as separate cars in the past. But for this pack all cars have a proper BoP so they can compete with eachother. My goal was to use a realistic physics set, with as much real data as possible. This means that most cars have unique 'build from scratch' suspension physics, engines and gearbox. I tried to reproduce the vehicle dynamics of the era, thus no old cars with modern suspensions, high spring frequencies and heavily adjusted roll centers. So you do need to balance the cars and be gently with your weight transfers, else you will be fighting inertia big time

Currently I'm balancing the cars out in the physics department and some polishing of the models has to be done. For models initially released by 3rd party modders I tried to reach all the respective modders. Many already gave me permission, still awaiting a few replies.

The mod pack contains:

Just did some laps at Karelia. It's rather fun but a couple of things are bothering me:
- another car to add to the 'black mirror' affected list,
- the wire frame that replaces windscreen is really a pita... I don't know how it will look for VR users, but I really can't see where I'm going sometimes with that thing bouncing up/down/left/right...
IRL I had no trouble because your eye focuses on the track. On a screen that is not possible...
When not moving (or in a picture) it's not that bad, but...

Is there a way to remove that ?

oh yes! so looking forward to that pack :embarrassed:

Could you enlighten me a bit ? Bar one I have all these cars in use. What Bazza is doing is reworking the physics to get them closer to real and to race on an 'equal base', or what is the magic ?

Rigel is one of the great track makers missing from that list. And he's one of the few making them from scratch too.
