I noticed in VR it's a crapshoot whether the safety netting is rendered on both sides at all and it only usually shows in one eye of my VR lenses so it's a distraction pretty bad. I thought it might be intentional so that my brain could process it but it not be in my way so I tested a few RSS cars and the ones I tested were wildly different with what shows and what doesn't depending on which eye I close. The new Protech p92 shows both nets with one eye and neither net with the other.I remember reading something about on/off flickering/disappearing safety webbing in cars. I have this in one of the RSS Lanzos. Can anybody remember if there was a solution?
I had exactly the same problem with the webbing a couple of days ago with the GTM evo2 version plus i had lost all digital display on a VRC F NA 1999 cart. Could not fix with fresh install. I dialed back from the latest 0.2.5 csp to 0.2.4 and all is back to normalI remember reading something about on/off flickering/disappearing safety webbing in cars. I did wonder if it was a new CSP bug. I just checked the new RSS Protech P92 (Porsche 911 GT3 R (992) and I don't see ANY safety webbing at all from the cockpit first-person view in VR while out on the track, not even one that renders only in one eye.I noticed in VR it's a crapshoot whether the safety netting is rendered on both sides at all and it only usually shows in one eye of my VR lenses so it's a distraction pretty bad. Did you race with this specific car in the real world?I've finally ran a couple of sessions with both and purely from a driving/feeling perspective I personnaly think that the latest URD version is a notch above. The RSS Protech feels much more muted and a bit "too easy" to drive compated to the URD Darche, which I therefore find more fun as more challenging.
The RSS is still very good, don't get me wrong, but my preference goes to URD in this case.
I think these cars show just how peoples opinions can vary a lot as URD and RSS both claim real driver input and technical details have gone into their mods, URD used Laurin Heinrich who drives Rexy in IMSA, RSS doesn't name who helped them however.I've finally ran a couple of sessions with both and purely from a driving/feeling perspective I personnaly think that the latest URD version is a notch above. Wait for a new version of the csp, maybe they will fix it, although the bug with a random tire composition for AI has been present since version 0.2.1 and has not been fixed yet(I just checked the new RSS Protech P92 (Porsche 911 GT3 R (992) and I don't see ANY safety webbing at all from the cockpit first-person view in VR while out on the track, not even one that renders only in one eye.
In CM Showroom in 2D the webbing is not visible either, in the cockpit or looking in from outside.
However, if I F7 to an external view while out on the track and look through the side windows, I can see the webbing through the glass, but only in the left eye, and only through the glass. Nothing renders at all in the right eye.
Reverb G2, CSP 0.2.6-preview1.
I don't have that tire problem, but I haven't seen any exhaust flames on the AI since 0.2.1Wait for a new version of the csp, maybe they will fix it, although the bug with a random tire composition for AI has been present since version 0.2.1 and has not been fixed yet(
Can you make a screenshot from the championship where you can see what tires AI uses during the race ?I don't have that tire problem, but I haven't seen any exhaust flames on the AI since 0.2.1
Oh my bad. I thought you were talking about tire textures. Can you make a screenshot from the championship where you can see what tires AI uses during the race ?
The safety web in this car is sitting very low, maybe that's why you missed it ?I just checked the new RSS Protech P92 (Porsche 911 GT3 R (992) and I don't see ANY safety webbing at all from the cockpit first-person view in VR while out on the track, not even one that renders only in one eye.

No, it definitely doesn't render at all in the cockpit for me.The safety web in this car is sitting very low, maybe that's why you missed it ?
I need to lower my seating position quite a bit to see this:

Though there must be something wrong because it isn't visible in showroom...
F5 or F7 cams don't show the thing either 👻
(Same CSP version)
But we have the same CSP and PURE versions installed. I'm on triple screen setup though, could it be a VR thing ?No, it definitely doesn't render at all in the cockpit for me.
CSP is such a crapshoot. Seems like every new build bring new problems.
Trackside video screens are all now super-dark for me, almost impossible to see anything on them.
Not sure if that's CSP or Pure though.
sigh
And with the huge amount of setup options, it's obvious that they will drive differently on their default setups.I think these cars show just how peoples opinions can vary a lot as URD and RSS both claim real driver input and technical details have gone into their mods, URD used Laurin Heinrich who drives Rexy in IMSA, RSS doesn't name who helped them however.
Same here. Screens are also black or really dark. I have contacted PB to see if it’s CSP or Pure. The screens seem ok on LCS just Gamma has that problem. Not sure what causes the strange rendering on webbing and seat belts. No, it definitely doesn't render at all in the cockpit for me.

Looks like CSP then.I don´t use pure and also have the darker screen issue
for me since the new CSP the trackside screens are fixed, as before they were always way too bright!Same here. Screens are also black or really dark. I have contacted PB to see if it’s CSP or Pure. I have reset Pure in main Pure config and in PP app as per PB advised. Not tried resetting CSP though. Are you using VR or flat screen. I’m on VR so have tried Pure PP and Pure VR filter.for me since the new CSP the trackside screens are fixed, as before they were always way too bright!
have you tried resetting Pure to defaults via the in-game Pure cfg app? Also make sure to use the pure PP filter...
( finally you can also try and reset CSP settings to see if that fixes things.)
I saw the driver seatbelt do a similar thing (being visible only in left eye, when in F7 mode), and if I'm not mistaken that was on a Kunos 33 Stradale...
The amount of hate under the article is insane. Don't understand why anyone is hating a new car just for being "fictional". Isn't the whole point of modding and AC to create new things?Did anybody see this machinery recently at overtake? fictional or not this thing is absolutely beautiful looking! (Note: I haven't tried it out myself yet.)
Mercedes-AMG Hypercar: A Perfect Example Of Assetto Corsa's Creative Community
The world of motorsport has always been, and will always be, full of what-ifs. Especially when it comes to manufacturers getting involved. One what-if that has been somewhat brought to life within sim racing is the debut of Mercedes on a Hypercar...www.overtake.gg
I always use VR (it's the only way to get really immersed and I can't enjoy pancake driving anymore)<snip> Are you using VR or flat screen. <snip>
I have found a niche. Making decent helmets for AC.

Guess the same members who are diehard fans from AMs2 with all those fantasy car brands and look-a-like cars. It’s absolutely not my cup-of-tea this modern stuff, but it is an interesting mod for the modern LM simdrivers. Deserves positive feedback. The amount of hate under the article is insane. Has this car ever been ported over to AC. Thanks
