I tried doing a fancy setup like the ones I'd use in iRacing with a ton of camber and minimal tire pressures but it was actually slower than baseline. So now I'm using baseline with -.1 more front toe and 5 psi lower tire pressures.
If you want to put in another time you have 17 more minute to do so for this round.

I left it at stock the tyre pressures as I didn't want to put myself in danger.
I woke up late today
I'll take 2nd place... this time :mischievous:
Runs :scared:.

Here's what I have so far.

Struggling to do a lap with a decent middle sector, seem to mess up final sector when I'm on a really good lap. Anyway this will have to do, might try this round again if my time gets beaten though. Got about another 4 tenths potential but hard to nail even though this track only has a few corners. This combo reminds me of playing Test Drive: Ferrari Racing Legends.

I used Ben Cornett setup with link to it on RaceDepartment, his F40 ks_nordschleife setup with only thing changed is fuel to 4 litres (Be careful on starting of lap as if you use too much fuel, you can potentially run out before the finish line). He is Team Redline driver so it would have been good to beat him with his own setup but may come back to it one day. My best time is faster than his first and last sector and if I did my best middle sector on this lap then I would be faster overall but I guess he can go faster if he wanted to.

Not sure if I can improve any further. I could, but it's hard to do in just one lap ... especially when it's 1am . But the combo is very addictive, so I'll definitely try again at least one more time.

EDIT: New lap time - old image removed because it's not needed anymore. :D

Tried this again, didn't get any faster... Looking at your video @Saidur_Ali I think I drive a little too conservatively, braking a few metres too early. I think I have sector two down pretty well, but it seems that Parabolica costs me around 0.4s and Curva Grande costs me another 0.4s or so because I brake too much or don't get the line into it. I don't think I could get into the 1:33s at all, but I definitely think with some practise that a low/mid 1:34 is possible for me. But I think that is it for me this round haha

That's a seriously impressive improvement compared to your previous time, nearly a whole second improvement. Found anything in setup, are you doing one or two lap runs? Noticed on RSR you are running at really high track temperature, does that help although not eligible for pro ranking?

Looks like you have very good chance of winning this round as I think it would take me driving very close to my potential to beat that and that might take too much time unless I find a step in setup or someone else nails an awesome lap.

I try and be latest of the late brakers although it can cost potentially a few good laps.

I used the Ben's Nordschleife setup as well, although I increased the front toe value and decreased the rear toe value by one click each. Not sure how much of a difference the track temperature makes, but since it doesn't make me eligible for pro ranking, I might have to try again - I don't think I can put down a lap similar to this one again, though.
It seems to make a difference in top speed by 2km/h, also the higher temperature might help heating up the tires faster.

I wish there were set rules for the RSR leaderboard that are unmissably stated - I actually feel kinda bad for my lap now.

They do have the rules for PRO on their installation guide, maybe lower temperatures could make you go even faster :scared:: Link

Do you use the tyre warmers and do your fastest lap on first lap? Really awesome lap whatever the settings especially that last sector time.

Made a slight improvement. (Even though I said I was done haha) I do wonder if I am running higher track temps than I should be or something...

@Saidur_Ali I am just about getting used to braking really late. Now I have got parabolicas braking point just past the 100m board, but I think I am easing off a little too early, causing me to run deep and lose about 0.2s. I cannot get the first turn right though!

@Saidur_Ali Well ... that's quite embarrassing for me. :ouch: Thanks for the link!
I haven't used tire blankets (although I started off using them) and I only drive one-lap stints so I can get around the circuit with just 4 litres of fuel, as you suggested - so yes, I drive my fastest lap on the first lap. But if you mean how many tries I need ... too many.

I've done the same too.

That is even more impressive then as aren't the tyres really cold at start without them but I guess really high track temperatures help bring them up but at lower ones, you may need it. I wonder though if it is quicker on second lap as tyres may have more grip but saves time by doing it on first lap with many retries GT style.

Tried this again today and was on for a 1:32.8XX but messed up last sector. :banghead:

Hopefully I can do a lap time good enough to get back to first today.

2-3 tenths potential left but think I won't play this round anymore as getting too frustrating.

Sorry, once again, for the late OP change. Completely forgot about this, again.

New round is now live.

(For clarification: The track is the GP layout of Silverstone)

Unfortunately I'm out with mechanical failure (waiting on replacement load cell)
The main reason I haven't been participating the last few rounds is my PC restarts after about 5 minutes of playing. If this is still going when I get my PC I'll start participating again.

If I get a chance I'll run some laps tomorrow but heading out of town for a few days after that.

Had a tough time keeping the back end under control. Wants to slip out under braking, cornering and accelerating:scared:
