First time sharing a race video here, but this was a nice exchange for 1st place on Assetto Corsa PS4 online.
German Cars at Nurburgring GP

Very nice! đź‘Ť Wow...That BMW was shooting out of those corners like a rocket. You made a nice move inside when you took over 1st and held onto it. Good, patient driving there.

So, is this what some douche bags do online? When they wreck or are mad, they just sit in their cars on the racing line just to be a nuisance?

Thanks for the compliments. As for the static cars on track, the ones at the starting line are either frozen or away from the game when the race started. I have no explaination on the cars elsewhere on the track.

Advertising one of my favourite mod tracks:

That is a fun track. đź‘Ť I am so bummed. I tried to run a Track Day on one of my new favorite tracks - Ebisu West - but the AI drivers all lost their minds and either stayed still in their paddock bay or kept driving straight into the wall that separates the pits from the track. I don't know the first thing about making AI lines or Pit lines either... :grumpy: Fortunately, the other layout - Ebisu Higashi - works. It's not as fun, in my opinion.

I like how Lilski and Fat-Alfie look for obscure or removed racing circuits to bring to life in AC. NJMP: Lightning has been fantastic, as well as Riverside, Bridgehampton, Thompson Road GP & this new German circuit Fat-Alfie is developing.

I haven't tried this myself yet, but I believe it's as easy as:

  • Starting a session (practice is best)
  • Park just before the start line
  • Open up the in-game AI app and click start recording fast lane AI or something
  • Drive the line you want the AI to take and make sure you cross the finish line
  • Go back to the app and finish your recording.
This will save a Fast_lane AI candidate file in your track's AI folder, you will want to delete the current AI file that's in there and rename your new one in it's place (to Fast_lane.AI)

To do a pitlane AI, perform the same as above but click on start recording pitlane ai instead. You only need to start from the beginning of the pit entrance, cruise through and finish it at the end of the pit exit, no need for a full lap. Repeat appropriate file replacement/renaming.

Thanks @Lewis_Hamilton_ I will have to give that a try at some point. I'm absolutely in love with the track and I don't want to only hot lap it. A race or track day would be sweet. The creator of both circuits put in 32 possible slots. So, either it used to have a different Pit_Line or the creator has a LOT of friends.

Some "David vs Goliath" action, me being Goliath in the Mustang.

Ideally, I'd be in a Lotus, since I prefer being the underdog and I love driving them.

But I find the Mustang very rewarding to drive too and, fortunately, all the guys in the various Lotuses were very nice drivers and made for an interesting challenge.

Nice vid. Thanks for sharing. đź‘Ť Did you fade out when you did because you hit the limitations of AC's recording that I've heard about? I really wish there was a better grinding noise for when you miss gears. I noticed a couple times you missed and could hear the results of a bad shift...but it doesn't sound too good to me? What do you think?

This video reminded me that I want to go drive the Ford Mustang today and compare it to the new Ford Mustang Boss 302 Laguna Seca we recently got. It's a wild ride on some of the tracks I've driven with it so far.

Thanks for watching. ;)

No, that limitation only applies to race replays. This is a "live" capture from me playing, so it is only limited by the PS4's capabilities of recording (which, I think, is 30 minutes at the moment).
I stopped the recording there because there was a crash afterwards (and one of the guys disconnected) and the "race" ended a few meters later.

Agree that the missed gears sounds isn't too good, but I don't give it much thought, if I'm honest.

Hi there,

Assetto Corsa PS4 Racing The Holy Trinity of Ferrari LaFerrari, McLaren P1 and Porsche 918 Spyder @ Nurburgring Nordschleife onboard Lamborghini Aventador

Enjoy the ride. Thanks for watching

Just some fun with the AE86. Two simple laps around Zandvoort.

(Also, I lost 2 subscribers since I've started posting Gran Turismo Sport videos, so I thought I'd better upload some AC stuff quickly again.)

Why the 🤬 did that LaFerrari quit on his passing attempt? I know he would have been in terrible position for the kink to the left once you go under the bridge...but I think he could have held it...or gone smashing into the right-side armco at 190mph. One or the other. :D

Very nice driving. I still think something is up with the Porsche 918 Spyder. The go-to response is, "Well...AWD systems are a bit harder to..." Bullcrap. You were just driving an AWD system. The different AWD systems Kunos use seem fine to me, but maybe "fine" isn't enough for the 918?

I've seen plenty of hotlapping videos with the Big 3 and while the 918 Spyder always seems to hold its own during those shootouts, when it's racing it seems to struggle against the others - Ferrari & McLaren - and maybe we have to add Aventador SV to that mix?

Very nice driving...very smooth. I'm very jealous. :D

Is there someway of telling whether driving aids are in use in some of these videos?

In GT it was possible as I knew what to look for.

Hmmm. I'm not sure. If someone kept the pedals app visible and I saw the brake pedal bar go from zero to 100 and stay there for 3 seconds without a squeak coming from the wheels I would probably infer "That's ABS set to a very high level!" Other than that, I'm not entirely sure...

If the HUD is completely OFF, then no, I don't think so.

But on the consoles, when you have the HUD activated (even if at the minimum level), you can see see the "TC", "ABS" and "EDL" signs flashing when they are activated, below the rev counter (bottom right).

See here for an example of ABS being activated.

Thanks for the tip off man. Now I know what to look for....if it's there ;)

For those that watched last night's show... :sly:

Here is a preview of the car using the new Snow Forest showroom that can be found at

"Highlights" from Sunday's show

And for those that prefer that other show... :P

For avoidance of any doubt, I am running at the medium difficulty settings in most driving videos as I'm a medium skilled driver, although even I didn't use ASF in GT6

Back at Zandvoort, now for the Tuned version of the AE86 (with the same road tyres as the regular version).

Nothing serious, just a couple of laps for fun.

Doing test runs with Porsche Carrera RSR 3.0 at Nordschleife, just dialed baseline alignment and checking how tires stay warm, I'm using tire plankets so just checking will tires stay warm on second lap too.
No driving aids used expect auto-blip and tyre plankets plus shifting with paddle shifters, noABS/noTC/noStability, stock tires, don't know what they are, but haven't changed them.
Starting to feel comfortable on this car, yellowbird waiting.. :)

I really like the RSR, but the Yellowbird has too much turbo lag for me... I found it a bit of a PITA to drive.

I haven't drive it more than that virgin ride, based on that feeling it had twice or more grip than RSR and I might enjoy it coz of its twisted manners to turn before I even think to turn in

I just found the lag a pain... I reach the apex, start to feed the power in, nothing much happens, then BOOM, the turbo spools up and I'm in the barriers

It doesn't feel very fluid to drive.
