Fine then!

It's because they won three successive FA Cups (uh... in 188something). I wonder if "The Wanderers", who did it first, were allowed the same privilege...

Famine is right as I remember something similar from last time the question was asked.

But it also has something to do with shape. Can't put my finger on it.

Also I believe that other clubs are now permitted to use there crest on the corner flags as Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United off the top of my head have crests on the corner flags.

He's correct and with that, @Famine is the first person in this thread to reach 30 points.

Just a quick easy question in the meantime to bridge the gap till @Famine posts.

Name the only manager to have won the Champions League/European Cup 3 times as a manager.

Just to keep this going.

Name the Motherwell players who went on to become English Premier league managers?

Owen Coyle, Billie Davies, Paul Lambert and Roberto Martinez come to mind, can't think of any more than those right now.

Would Gary Mcallister count? only took charge of 3 or 4 games as caretaker for Villa.

There are 6 full timers in total plus McAllister as caretaker. Those 4 are correct. 2 more to get.

Did Fergie ever play for Motherwell?
No, he didn't.

The other 2 are both Scottish, and are both defenders.

Premier League or First Division inclusive?

Can't think past Lou Macari or Joe Jordan for Scots who might have managed at the top. Don't even know whether they were Motherwell players.

Motherwell people I can think of... Stuart McCall but his stints in England were with Bradford after their two year stay in the Premier League. Unless he's managed somewhere which has slipped my mind.

Did Moyes play football for Motherwell? Only other Scottish manager in the PL I can think of.

Gonna go with Alex Mcleish as one,
And Ash gets another one.

One to go.

He played for Motherwell in 89-91, then went on and managed someone in the EPL during which time he won the FA Premier League Manager of the Year in 2000–01.

Sounds like George Burley. Unless he won Manager Of The Year in 2001/02...

Another name might be Craig Brown. On the sole basis that he is a Scot who managed Leicester, but I think it might be just after they were relegated.
