The BGP cars have a simple Red Virgin logo on them now. Subtle difference to yesterdays car.

Yep, Barely a difference. Little virgin logo in front of cockpit, just in front of sidepod and on the rear wing end plate.

That was just because the gearbox went at that same time.

Ok well Massa has shown the first sign of being able to at least keep up with BGP/Williams/Toyota. Just got a time .2 off Barichello

And Brawn have a one-two at the moment; JB is 0.2 quicker than Glock.

And I make no secret of my deligt in seeing Hamilton languishing in P13 ...

EDIT: Oh, darn ... Trulli just went 0.3 quicker than JB.

Nico Rosberg finishes P3 on top by 0.003. Mclaren seems to be way off the pace.

Most impressive for me was that Massa kept within .2 without the diffuser.

I'm astounded by Williams though.

wow qualifying should be a huge diference from what we came to know over the past few years. even though every race they say they never know how things will turn out this is the first time i think anyone can say that with honesty you really dont know who is going to get pole. and im predicting someones going to win there first GP this race. by far i fully support the new rules this year if its going to keep you guessing like this all season

Notice how the diffuser cars are 1-8 with the exeption of massa and webber. Afterwards the predictions of the orders are close to what people have posted.

It is actually diffuser cars 1-8 with exception of Massa and Webber. Obviously this all could mean nothing come qualifying and race day but lets assume the times so far are somewhat accurate.

Does that mean that there is a .2 second advantage between diffusers(Rosberg to Massa) or a .5-.7 second advantage between diffusers(Rosberg to Webber/Kubica)? If it is the first then BMW and Mclaren still have other places to make up the difference between themselves and the leaders. If it's the later though that could mean that if Ferrari adopted the diffuser everybody would be .3 behind at least.

Looks like McLaren is slowly closing the gap up. They'll probably be on pace soon enough.

I actually honestly don't really care what happens to McLaren as a team, because I don't really like them. I'm a Hamilton fan foremost and then a Williams fan second. No matter how hopeless they seem, I always feel good when Williams get points unless they block Hamilton.

I might be changing a bit of my Fantasy F1 team soon, maybe going from Toyota (Toyota) engines to Toyota (Williams). It also looks like I might dump Vettel for my test driver... who I believe is Trulli. I'd have to check. I know I've got the Brawn chassis and Rubens.

Barrichello with a 1.25.006! (Q1) That's not far from the lap record...

Buemi, Piquet, Fisichella, Sutil, Bourdais out of Q1.

Hamilton just scrapped through at 15th. Trulli failed to show the speed he had in practice getting 14th.

BGP cars have monstered everyone else.

That was exciting but hardly surprising. Force India, Toro Rosso and Piquet out. As expected so far.

Edit: Hamilton out too due to mechanical failure.

y'know, I think I'm starting to see Ross Brawn's strategy - Brawn GP, featuring sponsorship from Bridgestone and richard Branson, feature drivers jensen Button and rubens Barrichello. I predict wins in Bahrain, Barcelona and possibly Britain...

:)

Brilliant session. Great to see both brawns, and vettel of course, in the top 3 :D
