Long shot? you? pffft you forget about me sir!

Nooo! That's the wrong way. I'm trying to get the blood bruising and the competition boiling here, and then you guys come talking yourselves down.

Your all forgetting the front runner of the last race! Lead 8 out of the 10 laps and made 1 small mistake that piti pounced on.
Great racing by him.

Have a handicap this week, as damaged my right hand at work and am even struggling to use the throttle(R2) button.
Having it operated on today.:nervous:

Good Luck with the op mate!!! 👍

Good luck, hopefully will be nothing to worry about and you can take your revenge on me, or at least we can put a good fight and teach those guys some driving skills :D

Op went fine. Just have a stinking cold to contend with.
Wipers on the inside of the visors anyone...................:)
Sneezing could be a prob when racing tho as have to close eyes for split second. :ill:

You know, you sound like a proper racedriver, with all the excuses :)

 It sure does, still I'm sure Kwaka will do just fine as long as he doesn't sneeze going into a turn.

Yeah, that could be scarey!! You might want to mute my mic if do. lol or just give me a wide birth in the corners.

Im full of excuses................oh......and my TV isnt big enough.:)

If it's time for excuses, here's mine: I just cut my finger with a knife while making paddle shifters for my DFGT. It hurts and it's bleeding. If I don't win everything, now you know why.

Usually my excuse is: I didn´t win, because someone else did :D

Anyway, if you´re having fun tonight, i wont be able to make it, but i´m in for tomorrow.

Damn...that sounds nasty.:ouch:

Cant make practice till 9.30 sorry. If your still on then, ill jump in.

Excuse = The mrs has taken over the TV till then.:ill:....or should i say "I have a puncture in my lotus and cant find the locking wheel nut to change it.So running late"

We should still be going at 9.30 I think... And I was almost in the same boat, but with some carefully chosen words (please please please), she agreed to turn over the tv at 8.50 :)

Nothing too serious, not in need of an operation. I hope you are all right after yours. I was cutting hard plastic with a cardboard knife, and when giving it all my might it slipped and cut rather deeply into my finger. Still able to race, but it does make using MT a bit difficult. Might be running AT for the next few days...

I may have to pick a car with more than 350 hp tomorrow, since the only two below 350 is the Mustang and the RX7 we drove tonight... So I'm raising the bar to 500 hp.
In case you wanna get some last minute practice in a more powerful FR-car, before the race on Monday...

Good racing tonight guys...those 3 lap races really sharpen up the reflexes...reverse grid is a good idea for those...keeps things interesting and remember you are only as good as your last race...:sly:...see you tomorrow.

btw..the room was very stable but had a few invisibility issues...it may be worth dropping the quality from normal to low (not very low). I don't think that will affect the racing too much but may enable everyone to 'upload' the data required to see all other cars. It's up to you Chris...whatever you feel is best...just a suggestion...

How do I do that in the private lounge??

How do I do that in the private lounge??

In the GT home page you have some options in the bottom left....one of them is your lounge settings which includes race quality. Last week, there was no invisibility issues but a few people got booted. There were a lot of extra racers last week as it was in the open lobby. We are still probably going to get 10-12 tonight. Another thing I didn't do which may help a bit is reduce the voice chat quality. I am sure it can be bit lower in quality but still allow for good chat!! Again, we will have to wait and see.

In the end it may just boil down to peoples own connections/compatibility but I think it's worth trying everything. There were no issues with people being booted in your lounge which is a good sign, though you (Chris) have never had any issues with being booted, seeing everyone yet, so your nat type 1 and high bandwidth seem to be helping you. The next host should be someone with nat type 1/2 and bandwidth normal or above.

I did actually get booted twice last week in the open lounge (the first time, just as the 10 lap race started :) )
But yeah in the end I think it comes down to peoples own connection, and if you have a slow connection you are more likely to get booted, or not being able to see other racers.
And if that's the case, then I guess there really isn't much we can do about it...

But let's see how it goes tonight with more people in the lounge. If it doesn't work properly I will use open lounge next week... If I get to host again that is :)

I don't think there is any difference between using the open lounge and private lounge apart from whether you allow 'others' to join the race, though the more different people the more possible connection compatibility issues there might be.

Regarding hosting, I think doing a couple of weeks works well, though if people just want to do one week I am sure there will be no problem. This group is pretty laid back and prepared to go with the flow. I do hate it when people feel they need to argue every little detail....just turn up and race is what this group is all about!! :)

If any additional races are held after the main event..I should be there. I'm off at 9:30 PM GMT and live just 15 min from work. We've had a spat of snow here, but I'll hopefully make it home in a timely manner.
