Hopefully there will be an online portion.
yeah, this B-spec would be so much fun with an online mode even if it only allowed 2 pilots/team. I would love to have my team compete against my friend's team!
Hopefully there will be an online portion.
I agree and it makes sense 100%
Idea of having 16-field of B-Spec drivers in the Endurance race where you know there are 15 other real-life-people sitting somewhere worldwide and waiting for the start in order to win by their strategic choices, set-ups and usage of mind over matter - is just beautiful.

Here is the B-Spec mock-up:

This was in context with other screens that had the same grape-derived PSN IDs in the "my lobby" section, including chat.
And 6 was mentioned here, but you were also right!![]()
So this is not B-spec?
I was more hoping that they weren't the standard cars but they dont look toooooo bad.
So is this online or B-spec, and can anyone explain the logo's that are at the bottom of the picture, such as the undo one?
So we can access and control B-Spec by remote? Leave it running on 24 hour races, check up on the status and set orders![]()

Yamauchi says this is their third presentation -- E3, Gamescom and now TGS.
A new course for GT5 is Laguna Seca -- rebuilt for GT5. Another new course is Trail Mountain.
The night track is the Circuit de la Sarthe. It looks exactly like it does for races.
There is the Volkswagon Kubelwagen -- designed by Mr. Porsche. Another is the VW Schwimmagen, which can drive in water. Also designed by Porsche. Sadly, this game won't be in the release of GT5.
Another VW is the Samba Bus.

Another is a concept car, the Isuzu 4200R

Yamauchi is showing off "interesting" cars for GT5.

The other car is a GT by Citroen

Polyphony Digital designed the car's interior.

We are done with the interesting cars, and we have moved on to the "My Home" function of GT5
1:20
These are features that have been discussed in the past.
1:20
Now we are talking about "Gran Turismo Anywhere"
1:22
You can access My Home from a web browser on the internet.
1:22
So, you don't need your PS3 to check your messages or your photos, but you can check them at gran-turismo.com
1:22
You log in with your PSN id
1:23
This version of My Home will appear on gran-turismo.com when the game launches.
1:24
You can perform races on the net through a function called "Remote Races"
1:24
So you can play with your friends through the Bspec mode

via an internet browser.
New Trial Mountain!!!!!!!!
I loved the ability to get in to first place, make my first pit, then let the B spec driver take over and fast forward races, I really hope this is in GT5.
I did the 50 lap El Capitain race by myself in an Elise 190 (Was wikked efficient on fuel and tires) and enjoyed that immensly but it's nice to relax a bit and complete the game.
Online MP B-Spec confirmed 👍
Lend and Borrow AI Drivers to Gain Experience
There is also a special mode in Community called "Remote Races" where you can compete in B-Spec mode by selecting an AI driver and a car of your own to pit against a friend's AI driver and car. Your friends must set their drivers to "public" for you to race against them.
This also means that in turn, any AI drivers that you set to be public may be called out to race by friends from your friends list. When this happens, your AI drivers will participate in your friends' remote races even without your knowledge.
You can watch the races that you host in Remote Races, but you will not be able to give your drivers any direction as a race director like you can in the standard B-spec mode. This is to keep the races with your friends' online AI drivers fair, as they won't be there to coach their drivers.
more details on remote mode B-Spec
My take on remote "B-Spec" races.
Set your (4) b-spec drivers to public and then your friends can set up online races between their B-spec driver and yours. They create a race and then the game automatically finds other B-spec drivers from their friends list. A lot of unknown details, for instance is this one on one or a full race field, certainly hope for full race field. Neither player will be able to give commands to the B-spec drivers in this mode. Only the player that set up the race will be able to watch the race, however hopefully can record and save online races to share with others. Also hopefully that "B-spec" stats are kept for each B-spec driver. The coolest benifit to this mode hopefully would be if it is full race fields and the B-Spec drivers that place in say the top 4 positions or so win credits. Imagine spending the time to train your B-spec crew to be top racers and have them win you credits while you are sleeping, working etc. However I would imagine that your PS3 would have to be on for this mode to work (maybe not). It would be cool to wake-up and find out that your B-spec driver won a bunch of races etc. Other unknowns in this mode how does your B-spec driver know what car to use? I think that this will be a very interesting mode with a lot of possibilties.
GT5 certainly seems to be shaping up to be all that and so much more.
What a pointless thread...
B-Spec driver profile it looks like. It was on an Arabic picture site. Apparently GT5 is being sold in Dubai already
