Best Gr.3 car?

Only hope for Gr.3 as it is right now is when the McLaren F1 Kokusai Kaihatsu is available in the LCD for players to buy, it's so far the only Gr.3 car that no one has and could potentially rival the Peugeot (or even worse, become the meta car even worse than the RCZ).
I have the McLaren and it’s personally my favorite, but I will wait for more skilled drivers to test it themselves.

Wanted to add how great the SLS GT3 2011 is, it's low end torque, handing, braking and overall balance makes it my favorite now. PP700 Its extremely fun, everytime I start to get bored of the game I grab the SLS or the R34 GT500 and race. I did buy the AMG GT3 2016, so much different and not as good IMHO.

My top 5 pics for best PP700 GT3(Gr.3) cars:

1) SLS AMG '11
2) 911 RSR '17
3) 650S GT3 '15
4) BRZ GT300 '21
5) GT-R GT500 '99

I know it may be weird but I have the beetle and it does super well for me! Fully tuned I have it at 789hp @8500 rpm with 550 ft-b @6500 rpm with a weight of 2646lbs
I used this car in the menu 39 GT world championship. I had put a little ballast in the front for stability. With RS tires, this car handles so well. Even when racing around Nurburgring, I felt in complete control with the car.

The only drawback is when using the car in races where there is fuel consumption, it doesn't provide much of a good mileage. But love this car nonetheless. Real fun to drive.

I’ve been using the Corvette Gr.3 that I won from the missions, with some added tuning that gets it much closer to 800PP than if it were left as-stock. But no matter which Gr.3 you pick, don’t forget to get the other four racing tire compounds!

EDIT: Yeah, I’m positive that between putting a car on Racing Softs, and installing a turbo/supercharger, all Gr.3 cars should be able to get above 790PP. I’d also recommend getting the full-customize racing transmission; not only does installing that raise the PP a tiny bit, but the option to customize your gearing for a given course is always nice. In fact, when settings are available, tuning the gear ratios and downforce is really all I do.

In my humble opinion it has to be the BRZ GT300 '21 fully tuned it is the only GR.3 car on RH tyres I've managed to get over 800pp and, with Praiano tune is an absolute BEAST!!! One of my favourite cars currently. Great for Sardegna race

Do you play with controller or steering wheel? I can't control this car with steering wheel. I quickly lose the rear.

What's the secret to driving it?
I play with the controller, and I struggle with the rest end. It backs into the corners like a MotoGP bike!

Refused to buy Peugeot or Viper and bought Alfa. Won at Daytona! And got a Beamer Gr.3 as a daily prize!

Need an update on BEST GR3 car?

PEUGEOT RCZ
MCLAREN 650s
PORCHE RSR
HYUNDAI GR3
MERCEDES GTR GR3

Or any that I did not mention?????

Please reply!!! Thank you

I'v been playing more recently with ABS off. Every car handles it differently, but I am performing best at Maggiore in the Mitsubishi Lancer GR3 stock 725 pp.

That was the first Gr3 I purchased (I had the R8 as a prize car, but didn’t enjoy it). Nice, stable, steady car.

I just went for the BRZ300, and it’s enjoyable to drive also. More planted than the Lancer.

I only own the DBR9 and the F1 GTR 95 but the F1 GTR is a pretty fast car though the handling and brakes are pretty bad compared to the modern Gr.3 cars.

I was able to lap the entire field at the Sardegna 800pp race using it but the handling and brakes make the car abit tricky to drive.

What GT3 car are you winning Maggiore or SPA with. I have tried several but always come in second. I just haven’t found one that is fast on the straight and still corners well. Any suggestions?

I own the Mazda Gr3, Austin Gr3 etc all modified . Daytona road course is the biggest kick to the nuts. The Mazda has ballast added and more HP plus nitrous. Of the 10 laps I have avg 2nd or 3rd until I have to pit with leader pitting as well. The stupid 58 sec pit times are killing the game. I have lead 2 laps in 1st position and once I pit on the 6th lap for gas only (3/4 tank) I fall to 9th with 3 laps to go. Best Ive done is 2nd place finish. The AI off corner speeds are unbelievable, also the AI knows when you lean your fuel out . There is no way the AI cars are de tuned like we have them
I hate the pit stops, somehow the timing always favors the AI cars. I have lead the AI car into the pits (Fuel only) and still come seconds behind.

As mentioned in the post above yours to beat those long races with 1 or 2 pit stops you need good fuel mileage. The cars with V8 or V10 engines are best even though they don't feel sharp or the fastest around corners. The BRZ, 911, Mazda, WRX, and Evo feel the most planted and quick. For midship cars they are all fast if you can drive them. The big NA engines you can run fuel setting 3 and finish the race without a pit stop on hards if you wanted.

You can earn a Corvette GT3 by completing the Rolling Stone missions all gold if you really want to save money.
I might look at it. Its more of not wanting to waste money if things have changed with updates making some cars better and some worse.

If my memory serves me right, you can win the Corvette Gr3 from the rolling stone missions and the Audi R8 from the super license by getting bronze. If you want to save money for now.

I found the R8 good enough to make money at Sardegna, and from there you could buy any other Gr3 car you favor.

I also think the Porsche is a good all around car.

The answher for this thread is "depends", all the time, on several factors.

-With or without BOP?
-With or without custom tuning?
-With or without tire wear / fuel consumption?
-In which track(s)?
-In dry or wet?

There is never one single answer.

If cr. is not an issue which is the best one?
In this case, a Gr2 car (800K) detuned to fit under the Gr3 pp.

If you want something really expensive, get a CLK LM 98 from the legendary car dealer and detuned it to enter Gr3 races.

I personally find that I do better in cars that suit my driving style rather than the "meta" pick. I can't stand how the Supra and X GR3 drives, but they're more often than not strong picks. If that applies to you as well, it's very hard for someone else to recommend you a car as "the single best".

What you can do if you're tight on money is to go to Daily Race B/C (there's usually one Gr.3 race among the two) and rent a Gr.3 car for the qualifying time trail, and just take it for a spin. Granted, you won't be able to choose the track, but it should still give you a good idea of how a car drives, how well it suits you, and its strengths and weaknesses. Or, heck, sign a manufacturer contract and get loaned a car that you can use in the single player campaign if you haven't already for the season (just be aware that you can't change your manu for the rest of the season).

That said, some of my favourite Gr.3 cars thus far are the 911 RSR and RCZ Gr.3. They're slow as heck on the straights, but are SO confidence inspiring theough the twisty stuff.
