Plowed around 100k into a Chevelle trying to win the muscle car championship only to have the thing still turn like the Titanic in the Panama Canal
Accidently pressing Restart Race instead of the Quick Options after driving 3hrs in the 4HR Endurance Race.
I haven't really done anything idiotic that I can think of but I'll tell you something idiotic PD did...So when I first got the Veyron I was like ok, I'm going to use it on the italian race and totally dominate, nope can't enter my car into the race. Oh right VW bought out Bugatti duh..let's try the German race...what? can't enter my Veyron in this either?? hmmm something must be wrong. Couple weeks days later I realized that you can go into your garage icon and it'll tell you which cars are permitted. I was in the France only race and I didn't know what cars could go in so i checked, well and behold my Veyron is there.....ummm the Veyron ain't french hahahh
I don't get how they could have made such a mistake...??O.o
Bought the '09 Nissan GT-R Spec V for the Seasonal Event Bonus Race 1 (the 5th race, for GT-R's). Car comes stock with 478 HP, and the limit in the race is 493 HP. Did an oil change just to get a few of the missing 15 HP, only to discover that it made the car go to 501 HP. Blasted thing!
Will probably have to do practice runs on le Sarthe (no chicanes) for the next week to get the oil real thick and gunky...
The original Bugatti (of the 30's) was French - the factory was in North-Eastern France (somewhere in Alsace, I forget where).
Ettore Bugatti himself was Italian - born in Milan - but his cars were French.
Bugatti weren't Italian-based until an Italian bought the name in the late-80's and set up a new factory near Modena. Bugatti ran out of money and were bought by VW in the late-90's and moved production back to Alsace .
Sorry for being such a car-bore!
