mine: thinking i can skip the last race of a championship cause i was far ahead enough in points. but it just quit me out of the championship all together.

Overall I'm down over 40000000 Cr. just because of my stupidity.
Why can't we remove the rigidity improvment? It's just a bar which is bolted down to the body...

God yeh, I have some big regrets putting that on certain cars when I didn't know what I was doing -_-

I've managed to replace some of the cars I did it to, and have had to make up for the understeer with suspension and downforce tweaks on the others.

It works on a few cars, but when I first got GT5 i stuck it on almost everything LOL
 
Selling the Mugen Motul Civic Race Car for extra cash in the beginning of the game. I was unaware of its awesomeness.:guilty:
Luckily, I bought a new one yesterday. :dopey:

Before I knew better I ran all the individual races first before doing the "championship"--which of course covers them all. So probably 20 or so unnecessary races each in A and B spec.

+1 right here. Had to grind until the dirty oil brought the hp down.

Also I sold at least ten cars to get a touring car I couldn't wait for, then it shows up at the online dealer :(

Guys, you can "add ballast" to the car in your garage until the PP comes down. Forgot which tab it's under, but I think it's the one with the aero settings. It's key for the best grinding event (per minute rates)--the lightweight K seasonal event ($107K in Under 3 minutes). My Servo was a tad over until I added ballast. I think you can also use the engine limiter function, too.

they posted that before the update that allowed ballast and engine detuning.
 
fitting sport softs to my 2008 Z4M, the car hated them, it would want to kick its tail out in its usual style when id drive it hard, but the tires would grip and not let it do that, so the car would subsequently go whatever direction it was pointing when the tires would grip, usually toward a wall.. full tilt.. Z4Ms do NOT like grippy tires..
 
finally figured out that during the loeb challenge (rally) that i had aids on, turned them off, instant gold (in the 2nd one)
 
Indy 500, just past pits, i ran out of fuel. i had to do awhole lap at 49 mph. Then i passed the pits again, and had to do another!
Desperate for a fast old car, i got a 10 mil. alfa romeo from 1965 then found out it had only 160 some horsepower.
Used my only gold chrome on a ZR1 RM. Didnt know it only paints front half of the car.
Suzuka 1000km-Last lap-driving Veyron 16.4-too fast through the final chicane- hit tire wall and got stuck inside.
spent over 1 mil for a tuned-up Super GT car for Super GT championship, then remembered that x2010 is japanese (only req. for championship)

This isn't much of an I'm an idiot, but it annoyed me

Spent a lot of time in the Supercar series in an R8 V10 saving up for an SLS, buying it in red. Then doing the AMG Special events to win one in the exact same colour.

During the PSN outage the last couple of weeks I bought pretty much every LMP/group c car there is in the game (a lot of grinding and a lot of luck) Probably spent around 30-40 million credits.
When I wanted to back the save up, i somehow imported the old save and deleted the current one.
Haven't touch the game since out of pure anger.
 
Accidentally hit the restart button when there was one hour left in 4-hour roadster endurance.

As I'm not experienced enough, I'll be expecting another reply in the future.
 
I manage to get to 3,000,000 cr and then i decide it would be a great time to go car shopping... i'm always taking one step forward and three steps back every time i get some money together.
 
I don't remember what license test it was but, I had been struggling with it for awhile. On one run I KNEW I was going to be getting gold and out of habit of hitting start then restart repeatedly, my hands just automatically did it. Then came the long "nooooooo!":banghead: Not the worst that can happen but beyond frustrating.
 
Saw the Nissan R89CP in the UCD and i needed like 500 000 more cr. Predictably, i sold most of my cars only to realise i could only buy it at lvl. 23 and i was on lvl. 21 :(
 
Ok I got the best one. I was online racing against some guys who seemed really good in a car that was a bit under powered compared to there's and needed to win. It was 5 laps and I was second place, first place guy was super far so I figures second was just as good and I could not understand what they were saying since everyone spoke French except me. Fifth lap, finally corner I'm still in second barely holding my lead all I have to do is make this last corner than gun it to the finish line. The pressure was too much and I spun out so bad and landed far in the grass backwards and ended up dead last. The worst is hearing them all start talking and laughing a bit than hearing "blah blah blah shmogt". So clearly they were just as shocked as I was than I held tithe whole race just to lose to bad at the end.

Although. I think i'll enjoy starting from scratch again.
 
When I was a noob, I put about 200,000 credits in upgrades to a car and only after learned that there was a racing mod for it. Then did the racing mod for another fortune and of course this erased all the upgrades I had payed for. Learned that lesson the hard way:dopey:
 
Went into the 9hr endurance race and only selected the one Bob. I walked away to let it run it's course, checked on it's progress around the 7 hr mark to see him wallowing in last place :ouch:
