The worst thing I've done so far is... not play it :(. Mid-term exams have been killing me, and I haven't really been able to play since I bought it. I'm so glad that my final exam is tomorrow, and that I'll finally be able to play GT for more than just an hour!

Worst thing I've done in GT so far? I bought a Caterham Fireblade, tuned it as far as I could (probably around 100,000 credits) only to realize that it was 'Special' and I couldn't drive it. D'oh.
 
I was in time trial mode with a GT-R on nurburgring trying to get the "GT-R official record trophy" and was ahead of my 7:30 lap time ghost by 3.5 seconds.... choked after the high speed section as I neared the final few turns, spun out, and ended up getting 7:33 or something worse. RAAAAGGGEEE... but ended up getting 7:27 after anyways and mah trophy.

maxing out a f-150 lightning because bob kept falling back and generally sucking... even after maxed out he still sucked, until i realized that bob like to try and blow the motor up at ever corner instead of switching gears...added another 40+mph to the final drive and bob destroyed the competition...now i have a 700+hp paper weight

had the same problem, my paperweight is an 700+hp SSR with spoiler :S

No way, that car is beast! I absolutely destroyed the Muscle Car Championship with a Chevelle SS 454. I don't think I spent as much money as you did either. I put full intake & exhaust (I love the wail of a V8), chip, stage 1 engine, LSD, fixed suspension, double plate clutch, level 1 weight reduction, hard racing slicks, and I think that's it. I decimated both of the muscle car series with it with all aids at 0/off. You just can't be afraid to lay on it when she gets sideways or she'll kick you to the curb. It's one of my favorite cars that I've picked up so far, so much fun to drive!

Your biggest "I'm an idiot moment" was realizing you didn't gain the extra 10hp for trying to break in your engine? Damn, I feel sorry for you when you actually do something worth noting here like quit a race by accident or mistakenly by a used car.
 
Finishing the A-spec races then going to lic. tests and getting stuck on B-2 for 30 minutes not realising I had the stupid driver aids like traction control on from playing around. It was the stupid simple do a right turn one. Missed gold 50 times.. turned off and boom.. gold first try. D'oh
 
After finishing a race at level 24 b spec, my main driver went to class 25 and I stayed at level 24. I smashed my controller against a wall thinking that my bob was better than me. Then I realized the leveling system for you and the bobs are 2 different things..
 
Dream car championship, last race I was running in 6th having crashed it a bit at the Nurb. Went diving like a madman in the last sector (After the straight) to try and get 5th. Crashed, cars passed me I was in 10th and quit out of rage, realized if I'd finished the race from there even I would have won the championship

I get upset with Bob all the time for switching to an auto on me. One of these days I am going to have to teach him how to drive a manual and maybe how to use TCS.

Entered my Alfa Romeo Giulia into the classic race car event, shoudnt be hard to guess the outcome of that

My biggies are... the same in the truck comp in B spec almost a 700BHP monster until I realised if I set the brake to zero and one then no matter what, Bob couldn't keep braking at the corners :)

Playing on the top gear track with Bob I think in the Lightweights he got lost. Believe me he got lost, I was almost a lap in front of all the cars and he got rammed in a last lap crossover so his last lap was over 3 minutes. He finnished 10th.

Bought a California and spent loads of upgrades to win the Ferrari race in Pro only to find I won a guess what? Thats right a California.

But and this is the one that'll make you laugh. I really wanted a Ferarri P300 so I thought, go on no will know set up an account for the wife and put the date of birth as the year of the car.

Well not only did I put the wrong year in 1966 instead of 1967 but she found out when I was telling my friend and now she won't talk to me for telling everyone her age. I won a blooming AC cars '66 thing that I never would use so I didn't try that again.

:lol: I did pretty much the same thing but my wife doesn't use the PS3 so don;t say anything :guilty:

Anyway I used 1966 as well and got a Alfa Spider. I was hoping for a P4330 or a GT40 both are 67 so major fail. Oh well I just let it go. I'll get one the hard way.

I was wondering why I'd come from a B-spec race and some how have my transmission changed from manuel to auto
 
Bought a stage 3 weight reduction, but didn't click install now. Couldn't install it in the tuning menu, had to spend 20000 to get it again...

Going to make you feel even more of an idiot, that weight reduction is most likely in your items menu.
 
I sent a guy through the paint booth on a Kart to see if he would get painted! Ya never know these codists have a weird sence of humor!
 
Early in developing my Credits for the F-GT car I accidentally purchased the Nismo 350 LM Race Car for 997K and a after a few rechecks to the Used Car Lot the F-GT was available for the first time... though I was still 350K short!

BTW the Nismo 350Z LM Race Car can not be sold.... after investing 997K !!!!!

Yep same here, roughly the same time into the race too. Was not happy the first time, so the second time I did it the air turned very blue indeed. I have since been much more careful to check where the cursor is when wanting to come out of the pause menu.

Hold up? I thought it said it went to the parts menu...

So my 50 - 70k in parts for a car (that I bought a second time by the way) is sitting in my items menu right now!?

Apart from the above I might say that sinking over 100k into a fiat 500 f to make it chameleon purple with gold rims, dropped to the ground, some cosmetic parts, and horsepower around 60 or 70 would be one of those moments... But it's not. Car looks beastly stupid and I love it.

Also pouring out credits like rain into my SVT lightning to make the truck races easy... only to win a ****ING Midget D type!!! Really!? Some prize car that was... what's even more dumb is that I already had one.

Well, I had 4.2 million and was a level 23 when the Formula GT showed up... I sold about 80-100 cars that were standards to raise the 700k and when I went to purchase it, I failed to register I needed to be a level 24!!! needless to say, I haven't seen that car again and I haven't bought all of the cars I lost back yet!

BTW, I went as far as adding the sell values together to make sure I could raise enough money and I still forgot I wasn't level 24....

EDIT: Totally redeemed myself today and bought it as soon as it showed up in used cars!!

Stupidest thing ive done is sell cars that i thought i had no need for again, only to realise that i could of used them over in B Spec. :ouch:
