Blackbird's Audi S4: Things are going to get loud

Drive it first. I still can't get over the horrid blind spot, or how small the driving view is, after a spin in one. It just feels too small to get an idea of everything around you despite it feeling like a big, heavy car. It was a couple years back, but I doubt it's changed at all. I'd give the Hellcat a pass because of the power, but I'd give the rest of the cons a pass as well.

True I definitely will try it out. No doubt its big the first time I saw my father's R/T I was like "holy **** its huge!". Before I bought bthe Mustang I wanted a Camaro but after driving it felt like a pillbox on wheels.(referring to it having no visibility whatsoever)

Holy crap, the interior on that thing did a quantum leap from the first Challenger. Wow, I'll have to check out this thing at the auto show now.

edit: Wow. With the 8HP auto, that thing gets better fuel economy than my car despite being double the displacement and horsepower. My Lexus is a great highway cruiser but only gets about 12mpg during my normal city driving.

The interior is an impressive improvement not only for the Challenger but for Dodge's image. The Audi's interior is top notch although I'm currently having an issue with the rearview mirror. Over minor and any bumps it shakes like crazy making it almost difficult to make out objects. Feels cheap quite frankly.

So I ordered a set of these today

20x10 ET35 Avant Garde M580 Two tone gloss/matte black and 255/30/20 tires. A few weeks ago I purchased a set of H&R OE Sport Springs. Once the wheels arrive I'll have everything installed.

Found a different angle!

They will look very good on your car

Yup those are M510s, they do look very good on the B8 and B8.5! I like the look of the M580 a little more personally. But your friend's S4 looks awesome as is. Sometimes, sometimes! I wish I got white but Silver looks good too. ;)

^No silver is better.
Everyone has white because it is "in" atm.
Lovely rims. Will suit you B8 well 👍

So I guess the S4 stays with you??

That's still up in the air, who knows what will happen in two years when the lease is up. I can just bring it back to stock and sell all the parts if I feel so inclined. Maybe i'll get a Scat Pack, maybe i'll get a Stingray, maybe i'll get whatever is available in two years, or maybe i'll keep it. I'm not sure haha but in the meantime I want to have some fun with this car. ;)

Do you know what your friend is lowered on?

Have you had it remapped?

No, besides the eurospec headlights I put on it's stock. The wheels, tires, and springs will be the first major modification. Because it's not set in stone what I plan to do in the future tuning is last on my list of things to do. The S4 is a pretty quick car considering the power and how heavy it is. It just needs to wake up in the sound department. :D

My bad, thought tthe rima design was the same, they're pretty similar though. Black on silver will look great.
Not 100% sure about the lowering, I think it's H&R springs

Yeah they are pretty similar. :) Seems like the same springs as mine, awesome. 👍

White rims are an absolute nightmare to keep clean and I personally do not think they look good at all. So glad you did not get white.

Christmas came a little late :P

Taken with my tablet. I need to find a proper camera.

Update: next Tuesday springs and wheels are scheduled to go on.

Eh.. Quadruple post... :scared:

New wheels and springs went on. Im very happy with the result! Might not be everyone's cup of tea but I like it alot. I picked it up later in the day and I had to get back to work so I didn't take any pictures but the shop, Sprint Autoworks, took a nice picture. Snapped a quick one at the gas station. Doesn't do any good with black wheels haha.

I'll take more tomorrow and edit this post.

Looks very nice! No way you could have that setup here with the low profile tires and the potholes but it looks really cool.

Sorry Blackbird, I'm going to have to be one of the people who says they don't like it.

What happened to getting the wheels of the other S4 you posted at the start of the thread? Too expensive, wheels to hard to get?

Quite the opposite. But I find these wheels to be more attractive and aggressive. This is an aggressive setup for the S4 hence there's some slight stretch. Its not perfect I do think it rides a little high still but I'm OK with it.
