Okay everyone, i hope i cleared up any questions about the specs. So i moved the race back a week to the 16th. I hope this doesn't inconvenience anyone. also i changed the schedule so that it be 2 races in a row, then a week off.
happy new year

I dont know if its too late to join or not but, i'll run:

PSN: SolidAxle
Time zone: Eastern
Equipment:G25
Colors: Black/silver

Trying to PM qualifying time to OP, I get this error message:
"The following errors occurred with your submission:
EnzoDBR9 has exceeded their stored private messages quota and cannot accept further messages until they clear some space."

Alternatives?

Op, sorry about that.

Actually, JoeBoxoDougnuts convinced me to change the tires to sport soft, which means everyone has to redo the qualy. ALSO the thread will be better organized.

Hey Enzo,

I was on the fence for this series, but now that it's on sport spofts I'm all over this 👍

Can you clarify the qualifying procedure in the OP for me? Are we qualifying for each race separately and only the top 16 get into each race? Or is it a one time qualifier for the series?

After finally building my car up today and running about 10-15 laps of Cote D'Azur, my best lap is sitting at 1'50.837 on the sport softs.

I see you've closed registration but if you have mid-season dropouts I would like to get some practice for a run at the next full season.

PSN is budious, US EST, and I play with a DS3 pad.

I love this car once it's dialed in, but I goofed and did the window mod so guess I have to goto UCD to find another :/

Man have I got some work to do...I barely cracked the 2:00 mark. I've got some tuning to do.
Oh and how did I manage to convince you to change the tires ...?
Anyhow im really looking forward to the series and can host practice rooms pretty much every day from 9:00 am - 4:00pm pacific. Send some friend requests my way.
Psn: joeyboxodonuts

Edit. I've only ran 4 laps....so far. I had to head off to school. Ill be on tonight around 12:45 am. Im a night owl.

managed a 150.347 on race softs and a damn 157.8XX on sport softs. I added the wing and wow did that help....but still with the sports this car is a bear, those race softs love that car for sure. Still working on my setup though and hoping practice will shave some time off.

I actually never tried the car on race softs, that is probably helping me now that we're on sport softs. You are probably over driving the car from being used to the stickier tires.
I took a few laps without any setup, wow was that a handful!
Lift-off oversteer to make an Elise jealous :)

After playing around with the suspension, it's much more manageable, but still requires some left foot braking to keep it in check. Still haven't done the wing yet as I didn't think I would need it.
Basically I've stiffened up the front, and added some more rear toe to keep the rear end from passing me.
1'49's (or faster) will be no problem with the right setup and some clean driving.

I did some runs last night for the first time, and was able to crack 2 min.
What set up are you peoples useing? I adjsuted the ride hight, the rear camber, and the front camber. Any ideas?

I turned the rear toe in considerably and it helped a little. this car is very temperamental and quite a challenge to drive, should be an interesting series.

if anyone is interested Iv'e got a practice room up.

I would really love to get out there with some of these fast drivers. I am having a hell of a time coming anywhere near the times some are posting here. I must be driving this track all wrong?

I will be hosting a practice room tonight, I post the room number when I open it up. Hope to see some of you there.

I just acquired my 2002 last night. I haven't done anything to it but sport softs and take a few laps. It's a hoot to drive.

It isn't listed so I assume this isn't a valid upgrade for the car... but since others may not be clear on this either I thought I'd ask. Are engine rebuild & chassis maint. allowed? Since we're all getting used/dated cars, these are available. However are not specifically listed as an approved upgrade. I wanted to be sure before I started spending my cr's. I want a fully legal car for this series.

Mine was a prize car, so 0 miles on the clock 👍

After the mods, an oil change, and a few miles I think it's around 210hp right now. Might get a couple more with more miles on it. If you're well below that after an oil change I would do the engine rebuild to be on par with the "new" cars.
I think the consensus is that the chassis restoration does nothing other than lightening your wallet
Nobody will notice if you do it (yourself included), it's been discussed numerous times on these forums.

I still cannot get this car to handle close enough to be enjoyable to drive yet. It is a frustrating battle of camber and toe settings for me at the moment.

I was just wondering if we are still required to provide a pre-race day qualification lap, as I've yet to do so and the first race is coming up this weekend.

I don't think it is required... where in the initial post do you see the start date for this weekend? I can't find it anymore.

OK, I'm getting a bit worried about the lack of posts in this thread considering how close we are to the first race. Perhaps we need a role call on who's actually in for this Saturday?

Took a few more runs at the qualifier for Cote D'Azur since I'm determined to break into the 1'49's. Managed a 1'50.115 tonight, but I turned a bit early for the chicane so I won't consider this a clean lap by GTP OLR standards.

Close, but just a bit too far to the inside.
