Currently 1:31.043 for # 232 using a mix of tunes with a touch of my own.
Work to do now so will look at Cargo's next time I fire up.

Edit ......Had a sneak at Cargo's and I see he is using a high front end like myself although not the same.
He has 90 - 75 whereas I have 112 - 85.

Howdy seasonal folk! Some of you are familiar with the FITT organization in the tuning forum and for others this may be a first intro.

We have just opened a quick 2 week event (1 to tune, 1 for testing) centered around this time trial. I would like to invite everyone interested to come take a look and see if you would like to either submit a tune, test the tunes that will be submitted, or both!

@yannagas, I certainly wouldn't mind if you stuck this link in your OP. :D @XS, you are welcome to post this in the tune directory as well.

Thanks to anyone who decides to drop by and best of luck in the trial!
I certainly will!

I apologize to folks looking for the new Seasonals in the directory, I've been very busy with unexpected problems (broken car mainly) but will update tomorrow!

@GTP_CargoRatt thanks for the shout Mitch , Glad I could help you. I'll definitely try your tune, it certainly looks fast!

@DigitalBaka FITT in the OP Sir!👍

@XS no problem mate you don't need to apologize to anybody, you kindly spend your time serving the community with your DB for so long now, you only deserve a big thanks!:gtpflag:

Why Twin-Plate and not triple?
I prefer the twin plate on lower powered cars, I don't really find the triple plate necessary under about 600bhp. It has some drawbacks regarding travelling up hill according to the description and isn't worth the extra money

If PD translated properly in game what they say in the description, that would be cool.
The effect is very subtle and hard to notice but it is there. Imagine you are going up a steep hill and turning a corner, you've carried a little extra speed on entry and you need to lift off the throttle to get the nose turned in and stop from running wide. The speed and rev drops will be slightly lower on a twin plate compared to a triple plate.

But yeah, being that we have no clutch to use and no internal damage as a result of clutch slip to consider, its kind of redundant lol

Don't always believe what you read....especially from PD. ;) I have done some testing on this myself and have noticed very little difference, if any at all, in relation to better lap times. So unless you are an extreme penny pincher, you're better off just installing the triple plate and being done with it. :)

I have done testing as well and found their is very little difference, but the twin-plate does work slightly better on hills. I don't see any advantage to the triple-plate so why bother spending the extra credits? I tend to use it on most tunes out of habit unless the power requires something meatier. Each to their own I suppose

Why not? I mean its not like the price difference between the two is going to break the bank. Like you said though, to each their own. 👍

@DigitalBaka FITT in the OP Sir!👍
You rock sir!

Just as a follow up since it was brought up in the event thread, testers are expected to disable SRF for testing of the tunes in the event. Typically testers are expected to use only ABS1. If you do use SRF you are still welcome to come on by and submit some feedback but any times and such would not count toward the event results.

you're welcome glad it helped ya
Seriously, I have golded every seasonal (usually on first or second lap) up until these last 3 ... with your tune it actually made that BMW enjoyable to drive.

Now if only I could find one second on Monza and the FXX ... that s#*% is driving me crazy!!

@cargoratt: A superb tune for my driving style. Many thanks for posting it. Down to 1:26.499.

You're welcome and glad the tune helped you. 👍 Congrats on the lap time also. 👍

@DigitalBaka Nice idea but the tunes here will not work for your F.I.T.T. event as they would have to be completely re-worked due to the fact that the tunes here in this thread were made with SRF enabled. Just out of curiosity, I tried my tune without SRF and it is horrible, as I expected. There are some people you may want to talk to however in the non-SRF tuning Seasonal thread....you might have better luck there getting some great non-SRF tunes. 👍

Thanx mate. Very helpful tuning

I hate to play devil's advocate but I thought the Bimmer was a blast to drive, even with stock suspension settings. Nice controllable oversteer and a good power to weight ratio at this PP. (where's the shrugging emoticon?)

Cargos tune and my skills after a few runs = 1:29.349. Adjusted BB to 5/4. Excellent tune very quick.

Was just wondering about that myself?!? I've got a 1'30.308 I think for now using @lisanorm's tune, I like how the car feels with your tune...I'll try some other tunes another time but I'm happy with my lap so far 👍

I'll be honest here, in GT5 the 1-Series tii was one of my favorite drift cars. It had excellent handling and an awesome powerband that just made it really comfortable to get sideways. However, something in GT6 just makes it feel odd to me. After I used lisanorm's setup, it became a lot more like what it used to be in GT5.
