Anyone else having trouble getting the posted tunes to stay in the PP limits? I used doodle's setup, set the gears correctly (final gear to the right, top speed to the left, then gears 1-6 and finally final gear), tuning parts, weight reduction, windows, downforce as shown, but I am still forced to go lower on the power limiter, ending up with a much lower power output than the one shown in the screenshot.

I had the same problem when using a tune for the Rocket TT too.

Did you do an oil change? That can effect your settings. I never do an initial oil change on any of my cars that I use for these events.

hey Mich why don't you come over at the snow track next door, the weather is better , the food is better, Europe is inspiring, maybe you can do a nice EVO tune too:tup::lol:

Lost my motivation and don't feel like driving for this event for awhile so here is my current setup if anyone interested, specially for those who opt for ABS-0. Best lap 1:07.606 after 500km of never ending front tyre lock ups.lol

Apply the following from bottom up to avoid gear ratio discrepancy due to power mod.

560PP/548hp/1,351kg/50:50

Suspension
105/65
10.30/11.70
3/5
5/3
3/6
0.0/0.0
-0.30/-0.30
Standard brakes 4/7

Gear ratio
Set FG to highest, max speed to lowest then apply the below:
1st 2.487 / 2nd 1.804 / 3rd 1.511 / 4th 1.253 / 5th 1.063 / 6th 0.897 / FG 4.800

LSD
5/35/5

Power
PL at 90.1% or similar depends if you had changed oil or not.
Stage 3 engine tune, the rest default

Body
DF 200/500, 100kg ballast at 50%, stage 3 weight reduction, lightened window

Logitech DFGT, AS off, ASM off, TC 0, ABS 0, SRF...ON!:D
Try betty blue setup

Try betty blue setup

I should give that setup a go. I hadn't looked at it closely as I thought it's optimised for DS3 and him being fast is not entirely due to his setup he is just an alien fast driver:bowdown: I thought this track was bit like Ascari and imagined lower weight should do better but his setup had 200kg ballast and I wasn't sure if that was done on purpose because it's effective or a compromise for a better rotation.

Loved this event before I'd even tried it - was dammned if I was going to pay for the car, so as a result I've got Gold on the second slalom event for the first time ever, been trying since GT3!

Here's my setup. 1:05.8 is possible. To set the gears, set the final gear all the way to the right, then top speed to the left, and then set the ratios as shown.

Great Setup thank´s...down to 1.06.8  with a little misstake:crazy:

Is there any way to buy the G37? The slalom is giving me fits, and the Infiniti dealership has only stock G35's
Yeah and then 3/4 of this dumb ass track is basically all slalom back and forth left right left...

Props for the Doodletune, carved 1.3 secs off my time from the get go.

That would be it. I always do an oil change the first thing when I buy a car. Although it obviously decreases the ratio of max power/PP (probably because it increases power over the entire RPM range). So for max PP events like this it should be avoided then.

Hello everyone

Improved a bit now 1:07.388 but I have no idea what I did right to improve:odd: I wasnt looking at the time but when it said I had improved I went, "That lap? I did better?"lol

Ive used just about all others setups but couldnt find the rhythm so back to my own tune. I guess Im an inflexible driver:boggled:

Decided to give this one a try since I was not having any luck bettering my time in the "Rocket" TT. After my day long stint yesterday, this is the tune I came up with. Currently my time is 1'07.485 in 112th atm. Again, I just want to stress that I am not trying to win any tuning awards here, this is just a tune that feels right for me and perhaps other people may find it useful. Good luck everyone. Peace, and as always, stay fast my friends.

Credit goes to @Johnnypenso for the tune sheet layout. He made the fantastic layout for me so that I could display my tunes. Thanks Johnny, really appreciate your time and effort. You're a great friend.

Love this tune mate! Keep up the great work. Cheers, mink

I just love the fact that these seasonals can be golded with a bone-stock car without aids, but not by much. They got that right in GT6 so far.

Thanks Cargo, you tune suited me well on my DS3 and no SRF.

I've been able to run a 1:07.734 thanks to @GTP_CargoRatt 's tune, thanks!👍

Moved up into 226th place:)

I think I might be able to find another 0.25 seconds if I ran enough laps, but I'm satisfied with my lap, so I may give it a rest. I've tortured enough tires to keep my tire supplier happy, so the Streets of Willow have quite a bit of rubber laid down for the next guy!

See you on the tracks!

Thanks you guys, really appreciate the positive comments and kind words. Glad you found my tune useful and congrats on the lap times...a job well done by all. Peace, and as always, stay fast my friends.

I think @doodlemonoply 's tune is the best but it's got way to hard spring rate! I lowered it to 12.7/13.1 and also lowered the rear ride height even more (60) and I actually had a shot at first place with it! :)

Thanks for the tip! I'm not that good at tuning anyways, but recently I've gotten better. :) I'll see what I can do with those new spring rates later.

Well you're better than me thats for sure! I usually don't know what im doing but this time I could actually feel the car bouncing around when you put one wheel on the sand. lowering the rear ride height was more of and driver preference tho, thought it was a bit understeered.

Thanks doodle and et! I got down to 1.07.852. Chasing doodle's ghost really helped.

This has been my best finish at 264th! I got a g27 for Christmas and it's really paying off already.

Hopefully with some more training and time I'll break into the double digits!

I was getting silver with a stock (ish) setup, so I tried @doodlemonoply tune first but found this a bit wild. Maybe I'm just too clumsy, but it seemed pretty loose - I just kept spinning, got frustrated and moved on .

Part of the problem I think was getting my head around the track - it's so featureless and flat I kept forgetting where I was . Doodle's tune just wasn't so forgiving of late moves arising from lack of track knowledge.

Then I applied the @Betty blue setup. This was more to my liking but a bit understeery, and I didn't find the heavy back end too friendly. I could see me getting somewhere with this so rather than go for an entirely different tune, I reduced the weight and moved it forward, dropped the power a bit and soften up the front. This got me gold less a second or so.

Another thanks to you guys putting in the time and sharing out your tunes 👍

Thanks m8 your car was amazing. i've try with this car this night with your setup... 10th with 1.05.9xx

thanks again m8 and very very congratulations for your set up. :D

Having trouble setting up transmission for CargoRatts tune. Oil is not changed. I set the Max Speed to 137mph, then final gear to 5.500. When I try to set 1st gear to 2.487, the lowest I can get is only 3.706, what am I doing wrong?
